_Hoppers_ sounds like the plot from "Over the Hedge" where forest animals band together to fight urban development/residential expansion by the local HOA lol
lol, the long forgotten DreamWorks movie that was actually pretty good! Out of all the Shreks, Madagascars, Kung Fu Pandas, How to Train your Dragons, and Trolls, THAT needed a sequel of some kind. I mean, even Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron got CGI reboots and animated series. But Over The Hedge? Nope. Nothing.
@@Benlovescheeseit was actually based on a comic strip of the same name. They used to print it in something called a “newspaper.” Still a good movie though.
Profitability mate. The reason none of these are original is because all the sheep will file into their seats to watch the same uninspired gruel, because that’s what they keep doing. And Disney is capitalising on it by puking up sequel after sequel. It’s the straight to VHS Disney strategy that nearly destroyed the company last time.
Honestly, this selection was a mixed bag for me. Pixar's original projects (Elio and Hoppers) are the two I'm most excited for, Hoppers especially, because I love how silly and creative the plot sounds! Wasn't too thrilled about all the sequels, but am mildly intriqued by the Live Action Lion King prequel, because I do appreciate them wanting to tell an original story. Honestly, all things considered, I hope Elio and Hoppers do well to show Disney that original, creative projects are what we want out of the studio.
How far we've come, from a NIN poster in Beary's room in The Country Bears to Reznor working on the likes of Soul to now NIN straight up doing a Tron soundtrack.
Can’t wait to watch the projects that Disney Animation and Pixar have announced. I’m interested in seeing the originals in particular and hope that they’ll do well at the box office.
Thanks Jack for putting in the hard work to get this recap out so soon after the panel. I know its not easy gathering the information, the visuals, and filming the video for turn around so quickly. 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
The live action snow White should feature visual effects that hasn't been done in movies yet like how the first snow White was literally the first full length animated movie ever
I wish for there to be a new studio to fill in for the late Disneytoon Studios along with a fifth Disney Park in Walt Disney World. I also wish for there to be all the rest of the Disney Television Animation characters in the Disney Parks, Cays, Aulani and the ships along with all the Disneytoon Studios characters as well.
I personally agree that live action remakes do need to stop but like you said it does make Disney a lot of money. Plus if the live action remake of Lilo & Stitch does become a success at the box office I would hope that we’ll get an original spinoff series of the 2002 animated film and the 2003-2006 tv series on Disney+ but by Walt Disney Animation Studios not by studios in Japan or China like the other spinoffs.
The only we really know about it is in fact it’s a narrative feature of some kind. So not a documentary. Although Disney+ probably has a documentary ready for it when it comes out.
A special edition for Walt Disney Animation Studios Short Films Collection ought to be created to include Us Again, Further From the Tree and D.I.Y. Duck. The Pixar Short Films Collection Volumes ought to be one with a yellow background and only featuring all the solo shorts; especially the ones with exceptional dialogue and all seven of the Directors' Student Films and Luxo lamp short clips. The Cars Toons deluxe collection ought to be upgraded with Air Mater and Time Travel Mater and also have all four Tales from Radiator Springs episodes. The special editions of Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King ought to be available on Disney Plus as well.
When I saw 'Astro Boy(Mighty Atom)' series of Osamu Tezuka, those series truly look like and might fit the Walt Disney Animation. 'Astro Boy(Mighty Atom)' series is such a sort of fairy tale of space, science, and future. This topic(theme) is the coexistence between robots and humans and the coexistence of the past, present, and future. So we hope these new future movies(ex> 'Iron Arm', etc.), based on 'Astro Boy' series of Osamu Tezuka, will be released someday perhaps since the 2030s or 2040s. Of course, these future animated films have sequels.
I am most eager to hear more about Avatar 3 fire and Ash. Specifically, I'm excited to see a sci-fi movie where the entire planet is not composed of one biome and one type of people.
The artificial intelligent character interactions starting with the one for Rocket Raccoon can work all over. Then more animatronics shaped like the characters can go everywhere with the same programming and the people dressed like them can postulate a new position in the parks. It already worked for Crush and Rey.
Just like Lion King is based on Kimba(Jungle Emperor) of Osamu Tezuka, these Walt Disney's new future animated films of science & space, based on Astro Boy of Osamu Tezuka. This storytelling theme(topic) is about coexistence between robots and humans and even coexistence between past, present, and future.
I'm super pumped about Hoppers & Zootopia 2. But man I can't deny that I'm a bit worried about Elio...was excited about this project when it was originally announced but not loving what were hearing/seeing of it recently Toy Story 5 & Frozen 3/4 seem like overkill of their respective franchises but I also LOVE these worlds & trust the respective studios so we'll give it a chance!
On the live-action-CGI hybrid Disney remakes, it'll be interesting to see what the flow looks like once the production pipeline is thoroughly removed from Sean Bailey's departure.
Just like 'Lion King' based on 'Kimba the White Lion(Jungle Emperor)' of Osamu Tezuka, Walt Disney( Studio)'s other new future 'Astro Boy(Iron Arm)' animated movies will be released in the future perhaps since the 2060s, being based on 'Mighty Atom(Tetsuwan Atomu)' of Osamu Tezuka. Kind of surprised to see movie studios still taking a chance on Jared Leto. So many weird stories around about him and his offscreen behaviour make me think he’s one skeleton away from being exposed. I guess Disney must have done their due diligence but it could really Impact their brand bank negatively if anything serious ever comes out about him.
Time for Pete, Max Goof, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie as well as Ludwig Von Drake and Mortimer Mouse to star in the Disney Parks, Cays, Aulani and on the ships.
Hi Jack, I am most looking forward to Frozen 3 and toy story 5 but the plot of toy story 5 is not what I was hoping for I was hoping it was going to be about how exactly the toys come alive like when the knife at the end of the fourth film asks Forky how are we alive and he says I don't know.
Everything looks amazing, not sure how I feel about toy story 5 bringing woody back already but will have to see how they do it. And live action stitch looks cute!
I'm off in a total different direction than the conversation and hype seems to be about. I'm actually SUPER excited for Avatar 3! James seems to be going in the world-building direction I desperately have been hoping he was going towards, and I'll be hyped for Avatar 4 and 5 as well! I felt a lot of "meh" with the rest of the announcements. Either because there wasn't substantial teaser footage for it (Freakier Friday, for example), or because it's just another remake or Marvel movie (it's old news at this point). BUT, I will say I think Mufasa is a great idea, and if I'm looking into the tagline deep enough, I think we'll all be a bit floored by the finale of it! I also noticed the "arian race" concept being shown with the white lion villains.... which is absolutely hilarious since white lions have statistically worse genes. Snow White I am hesitant about. I get the cash grab and the "we-must-remain-making-these-movies-in-order-to-maintain-IP-rights" clauses, but I don't know what I feel about this movie yet, and probably won't until long after it's release. Stitch is cute. End of story. Next. I felt a lot of the same feelings about this presentation as I did last D23, so that's NOT a good vibe going into this, and my expectations for what will be shown as announcements have significantly lessened to "well folks, get ready for another meh climax". At least Disney knows how to take ya'lls moneys... But who knows, maybe the rest of D23 will be exciting and informative enough to feel like Disney might have my dreams and hopes again.
I hope we get a new Muppets projects for Disney Plus maybe a Muppet Labs TV series would be a good idea or a Marvel Muppets special would be a good idea
Let's go DISNEY what an AMAZING time we live in for Disney Classics, MARVEL, MCU, PIXAR, FOX, ABC. THEME PARKS, CRUISE LINE, THEME Parks and merchandise!
i wasnt excited about almost any of that... Moana, thats about it- but it honestly sounded like Moana the first and stitch but its funny that they call CGI "live action"
I believe Jennifer lee did say it was something original for 2026. What that is only she knows. Contrary to a lot of other fans, I find the entertainment show more interesting as it dictates the future of the company more than the parks panel.
Hopper sounds like Brother Bear mixed with Over the Hedge...Elio sounds cool, but I have more faith in Coco than I do Turning Red, so that is worrisome to see the change (considering Coco had a very expansive land and Turning Red did not).
Initial thoughts: -Live action Stitch does not look bad... But I stg I never asked for this 🙄 (I cannot say the same for Live Action Atlantis TLE 😬 that teaser gave me goosebumps) -Incredibles 3: Dear God, please age them up and GIVE. VIOLET. SOME SCREENTINE! -Toy Story 5: Not a bad idea 🤔 Credit where credit is due because we NEED to keep our kids off of tech imo -Hoppers: 👀 -Win Or Lose: 👀👀 -Elio: 👀👀👀 -Ares: 👀👀👀👀 (hurry up bruh) -Moana 2: My hopes are like the tide always falling and riiiiiiiisiiiiiiing 🙃 -Zootopia 2: This better make me cry JUST as much as the first one did 😭 In Closing: Disney, the ice grows ever thinner as consumer trust continues to evaporate. I appreciate your creative talent, as they drive your clientbase with an imagination that your corporate side seems to lack at this time. I worry for the hundreds of millions of dollars that may likely be wasted in the future in live actiom remakes when it is PAINFULLY clear that Adults Can Like Animation Too. We don't need a 10th starwars spinoff with people in realtime, give us a handful of fully-funded animated feature length films that play with every aspect of telling a story. LOOK AT SPIDERVERSE.! I know, it is bold of an ant to speak disapprovingly of a giant centipede on his own; but do not forget who pays to keep each of your legs standing strong. Do not forget how many hungry jaws you'll have to watch out for should you decide to keep kicking the ants around. 👁️
9:23 - 9:40 As the news at D23 about Disney and Pixar’s “Incredibles 3” coming in 2027 already confirmed, we wishing Violet to be the protagonist of “Incredibles 3” which does not result in “Incredibles 2” seven years ago. And if they doesn’t want to, we remember in curiosity that we saw movies of the Incredibles 1 and 2, Violet has anger towards her families and I saw the book Suddenly Super (A Twisted Tale), thinks that she will become a villainess because she hates them like did to Syndrome in vengeance, except a video announcement on fans, The same words come out of mine from the curious in Incredibles 3 between Violet that I am suspecting that we know how to predict in the future and they are no longer deciding on Violet being the protagonist of “Incredibles 3”. You decide: Violet is the Protagonist as a Heroine or will become a Villainess?
Starting to get annoyed with the naming conventions of the sequels. Do you have to call it Toy Story? It's been 30 years.. i think we recognize them. I'd even settle for "##### (a Toy Story):. Think of all the Star Wars movies.
Hoppers is literally the plot of Avatar: sending your consciousness into something else in order to infiltrate the native population that is in danger of being wiped out by humans
It’s not so much a lack of ideas. It’s Disney management falling back on franchises that have proven sales records. It’s exactly the same straight-to-VHS-sequel straggler that nearly killed the company last time. Iger needs to go, and they need creatives, not blood-sucking corporates on the board.
Moana 2 and Mufasa: The Lion King will bond with their originals when they release and I am excited for there to be sequels to the live-action The Little Mermaid and The Jungle Book.
All I hope is Disney movies zootopia 2, Moana 2, incredibles 3, Toy Story 5, tron, monster jam, fantastic four, iron heart, captain America 4, the 2 new avengers movies, daredevil, Star Wars skeleton crew, Andor season 2, mando and grogu movie all deliver and do a good job but for ones like the live action Snow White, live action lilo and stitch, live action Moana, and Agatha I don’t think they’re just gonna cut it
Despite coming of age in the 80s and 90s where every great movie seemingly had a numbered sequel, it seems really weird to me to see so many Disney sequels nowadays just be ‘[BLANK] #’, like Moana 2, frozen 3, Toy Story 5…! It also stinks of a shameless cash grab to me to make an animated movie with a story that’s apparently “so big“ that people will need to buy two movie tickets in order to see the whole thing…! So many movies have been doing that recently and when you watch them it turns out the story’s not even good enough for one movie, let alone a multipart series (Fast and Furious, Mission Impossible, spider-verse etc…). In my opinion, we didn’t need a frozen 2, let alone a frozen 3, but I guess it’s their license to print money. The only way I could see frozen 3 actually having any kind of substance is if they do something radical like going back to 2-D hand drawn animation so that the whole movie actually looks like that amazing piece of concept art you showed.
D23 EXPO 2025 | Disney & Pixar Movies 2025-2028 - Disney News 📰 In this video we cover everything announced at the Disney Entertainment Showcase for Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation, and Walt Disney Studios at D23 2025!
They need to bring back Penn Zero, maybe live action or CGI movie or D+ show. Since they are removing Muppets from Hollywood Studios to make way for Monsters Inc Lane, I wish they would sell the Muppets IP to someone who understands The Muppets because Disney doesn't. As long as Illumination and DreamWorks keeping having animation sequel hits, no one expect Disney to stop making them. I think they should do spinoffs of characters of their animated movies, like Frozone.
I look at this slate and I see sequel, sequel, sequel, sequel. One much in the way of original material. I think Disney is trying to play it safe, but often these "live remakes" and sequels are just lesser works. I love a lot of material that has come out of both Disney & Pixar, but I am worried that they are stuck in a rut.
Fantastic video Jack m8! I love the ideas. It seems like the normal to expect from Disney with movies. I have been saying the same myself about The Lion King, why couldn't it just be a sequel as I loved the movie despite its mixed reviews it shouldn't be forgotten. I would personally like to have seen some update to pixer making A Bugs Life 2 as there is no reason to not make it with the bad reviews Disney has had with other movies that have been re-made, after all that is what Animal Kingdome Icon 🌳 The Tree of Life is based around.
The video thumbnail and title was about Disney & Pixar. I didn’t cover Marvel and Star Wars as a lot of it was rehashed info from SDCC or Star Wars Celebration.
If I don't see pirates of the caribbean 6 getting release in May 2026 after johnny depp comes back as jack sparrow for five seconds I will personally put you through the shredder.
Incredibles 3 could show the Parr family witnessing a villain who uses a device to strip supers of their powers after Violet sees a movie with Tony and learns to be a better sister when she finds out that Dash loves the same things Tony loves, Toy Story 5 could show puppets, marionettes and a toy factory, Frozen III could show Spring being honored and Elsa returning to Arendelle on her own and learning to dance as Kristoff and Anna reign triumphantly and Zootopia 2 could show Judy and Nick having kids.
Moana - November 2024 Elio - June 2025 Zootopia 2 - November 2025 Avatar: Fire and Ash - December 2025 Toy Story 5 - June 2026 Incredibles 3 - June 2027 (Maybe) Frozen 3 - November 2027

Straggler? 😂 ‘Strategy’ I meant. Thanks Iphone!
June 18th, 2027? In Incredibles 3?
Moana 2 and Mufasa: The Lion King will bond with their originals when they release and I am excited for there to be sequels to the live-action The Little Mermaid and The Jungle Book.
Will bond with their originals 😟
They’re… sequels? Like, they’re linked by definition…
D23 EXPO 2025 | Disney & Pixar Movies 2025-2028 - Disney News 📰
In this video we cover everything announced at the Disney Entertainment Showcase for Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation, and Walt Disney Studios at D23 2025!
Why do I feel like the same 11 people are in every movie?
I'm looking forward for the Incredibles 3!
If Toy story five has Skidi sigma or Riz I’m gonna walk out of the theater
Awesome🎉🎉🎉🎉
Excited for it all, cause disney
Nice video, Jack.
I am excited for the live action Lion King!
You forgot mandalorian and grogu
I swear to god. If cars 4 doesnt come out in 2026
That cool
I want to see new princesses, not frozen sequels! New Princesses!
What are you thoughts on the Greatest Showmen movie potentially getting a Broadway musical as it in development?
So hoping to see Wally-E 2.
Pixar have fallen so far.
What about the animation movie is coming to theaters in 2027? Star vs The Forces of Evil and Phineas and Ferb?
you didn't include the Marvel and Star Wars portions of the panel?
The video thumbnail and title was about Disney & Pixar. I didn’t cover Marvel and Star Wars as a lot of it was rehashed info from SDCC or Star Wars Celebration.
If I don't see pirates of the caribbean 6 getting release in May 2026 after johnny depp comes back as jack sparrow for five seconds I will personally put you through the shredder.
Why does hoppers sound like the first Avatar
the hoppers premise sounds like furry avatar
Incredibles 3 could show the Parr family witnessing a villain who uses a device to strip supers of their powers after Violet sees a movie with Tony and learns to be a better sister when she finds out that Dash loves the same things Tony loves, Toy Story 5 could show puppets, marionettes and a toy factory, Frozen III could show Spring being honored and Elsa returning to Arendelle on her own and learning to dance as Kristoff and Anna reign triumphantly and Zootopia 2 could show Judy and Nick having kids.
A fox and a bunny having a kid? Nahhh
Dude, you need to stop snorting icing sugar. Go to bed.
