    Disney should have designed an elephant graveyard land to serve as a transition between Big Thunder and the rest of Villains Land. The elephant graveyard could just have a restaurant and gift shop to sell merch from the new Paris Lion King ride. Keep the river and build Cars land in Hollywood Studios.

    Rumor from sources at WDWNT is that Monsters Inc land will take over Launch Bay and the animation building. They will have to demolish a lot of the backstage to build out a full land, but it seems Muppets are safe.

If I like any given IP/ride I will always try to hit it up on a trip to Orlando, and if I don’t, no big deal if I don’t get around to it. Both Disney & Universal have strengths, weaknesses, and personalities all their own. Just appreciate what you like about each & try to ignore the problems.
    Like I said before, me & my family are just as fired up for Epic Universe as the next guy, but on our upcoming 2025 trip we still plan to add in a couple park-hopper days at Disney for Test Track 3.0, RotR, Guardians, etc. A rising tide lifts all boats.

    The thorny roller coaster in Villains Landbalmost looks to have pretty boxy track, almost like a wooden coaster diving through the thorns. It would be nice to have a classic styled woodie in Disney World, but I also doubt it would hold up well in the Florida heat with year round opetltations.
    I mean, there's absolutely no way they'd put an RMC I-box coaster in the middle of Magic Kingdom. They simply would never cook up the biggest, baddest, most intense ride experience in Florida and use it to flagship their new land.
    I mean, such a ride would have to directly compete with both of its neighbors, Iron Gwazi and Velocicoaster, two of the best rides to ever exist, meaning it would need to be a top 10 coaster to even be in the same consversation as them.

    The Monsters Inc. land has me curious, but no one is saying two places that could be used.
    1. Beauty and the Beast Theater. Yes, it'll look ugly seeing a five-to-six-story building in front of the entrance and blocking the view of the Tower of Terror. There is a decent amount of space there, if not for monsters, but for another attraction.
    2. Backlot Expres, Indy sung show, back stage, and parking lot. If you expand the park by a few spaces you have a massive amount of room similar size of Toystory. This could be why we see the water tower from Rizzo’s in the background. The question comes, will they touch Star Tours? I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

    Big Thunder is supposed to get a full refurb around the time they do all of this. I'm starting to think they're going to retheme BTM and make it part of Villains and no longer part of Frontierland, and same for HM from Liberty Square. Knowing how cheap they keep being, they might not even add a new ride, just dining and merchandise between the two rides.
    They'll then retheme Frontierland and possibly Liberty Square into A New Orleans Square/French Quarter themed land which includes Tiana, Country Bears, and Hall of Presidents.
    Cars will just fall in the middle as a random mini land.

    I still think they could keep Little Mermaid while making Animation Courtyard into Monstropolis. Move the entrance to the theater over by Walt Disney Presents, then put monster facades on the side of the building. Once they demolish Disney Junior and Launch Bay it opens up that space to be big enough for a full land. Especially if they move the footprint back into the small parking lot and the old animation building. Nothing says the show building for the coaster has to be on the same plot as launch bay. It's plenty of space if they move those walls back.

    I'm honestly not bothered by the rivers of america going away, mainly because Disneyland likely will never get rid of theirs since they commited to keeping it when they built Galaxys Edge, and it was something Walt wouldn't haven't have wanted to go.
    With the magic Kingdom i dont feel like things are as sacred since it wasnt Walts park. It's sad to see an OG attraction go, but on the bright side the cars attractions will be people eaters and provide much better crowd flow when its busy. It's almost always a good thing to expand pathways in the Magic Kingdom style parks with how packed they get.

      @@Thazo79 I explained why. The only thing that's sacred is Walt's original park, otherwise everything is going to evolve with the times. It does suck that you're losing the rivers down there, but from an operations perspective it'll do wonders.

    • @Thazo79
      @Thazo79 2 месяца назад

      Sorry but you’re wrong here. The whole point of Disney World is that the parks could expand without the removal of beautiful and still relevant attractions and it offered the same park that was on the west vista for those on the East Coast. That was the whole reason Walt chose that area besides the building of his modern prototype city.
      But to be honest, if they take out rivers of America, then Disney deserves to be cursed. Let them be cursed unto ages upon ages.

    • @MrVIPGuest
      @MrVIPGuest 2 месяца назад

      @@Thazo79 agree to disagree I guess. I'm not excited about the change, but I'm not going to get outraged over it either. The only reason I care about Disneyland rides specifically getting torn down is because of the historical preservation aspect, and because I think that the original attractions are the ones that should stay generally. If a ride originated on the east coast, then got built on the west coast, I don't care as much about the west coast version.

    • @Thazo79
      @Thazo79 2 месяца назад

      But we are not talking about a ride though are we? We are talking about whole themed areas that was part of the concept of Disney Land and World. It is Walt’s vision to have these particular lands and the river. If we fundamentally change these lands, then we might as well take Disney’s name off of it because it’s no longer his vision. Maybe “Iger World Amusement center” makes more sense.
      Disney World is the last park that Walt personally worked on the planning of before his death. That is pretty significant. I say that both of these MK kingdom parks are equally important.
      If Disney corp wants to experiment with new ideas, then that is what the other gates are for.

    9:34 Flatearthers of Florida be "at"ing Alicia like.......
    > I'm with you on the Avatar land. I love that it's not a completely same land like Star Wars was.
    > I am stoked for Villains, but I really just think Villains land should be a new park (Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know, I know about infrastructure and Disney can't manage 4 parks, I just think Villains should be a park, not a land). I really hope it's a villains mirrored version of Fantasyland, but then again, the villains that make the most sense would be the ones we see constantly used, especially during Halloween time, so I don't see some of the lesser villains being utilized and not even many of the newer ones. Chernabog, Malificent, Ursula, Evil Queen, Queen of Hearts, Cruella, Jafar, and even Hades stand out to me, with the lesser chance of seeing representation for Dr. Facilier, Scar, Gaston (at least in ride form), or Yzma, let alone anyone else not mentioned.
    > I'm absolutely excited about removable kuka arm ride and really wish I could be on the team to learn how that's going to function safely and repeatably so it's not Tiana as a superhero ride.
    > I'm more curious than excited about Tropical Americas. I'm sad to see Dinosaur go, but knowing a lot about mythology, I am curious to see if the mythical beast is more Kulkukan (the feathered serpent), or the Jaguar god of the dead type of direction they go. It would be great to overlap the real south american exhibits with this Disney storytelling into the ride itself, but I doubt that will happen, too. It's still Nahtazu.... it's ZOOtopia, not Zutopia....
    > Cars I'm saddened by but excited by. I feel sad we're confirming the loss of literacy in Florida (and loss of water), but the idea of it being kindof a 4-wheeling ride could mean it's a more exciting version of Radiator Racers.
    > Definitely STOKED for the doors coaster finally. It's well overdue! but that's it's downfall: it's overdue, and since we live in a generation of "new, now, next" cancellations I don't see the longevity of basically most of the announcements overall. I hope I'm wrong on that point!
    I think the Walt animatronic is great, I'm just sure that what is *actually* happening is they are unfreezing his corpse and then inserting wires and gears and making a FNAF attraction at Disneyland. (runs away from the claws and daggers at this dark joke).

    Alicia, I think the Animation Courtyard concept art is just nebulous because they don't know where they want it to go yet. The courtyard in the art is way bigger than Animation Courtyard. It looks way more the size and shape of Echo Lake. You know Iger wants to dump more shows after the actors all got raises, so it's a definite possibility. But I'm with you on RnRC. Mostly because the physical model looks like it was made to fit into the RnRC ride building. The back part, after the launch. It's not large AT ALL. It's not really a coaster. More like a fast dark ride. And I think putting it over here would be cheaper than the Animation Courtyard version. They would need to get rid of the launch portion, the queue can turn into Harryhausen's. They could even move the Laugh Floor into the Lightning McQueen garbage thing.
    Notice how all the most expensive things have no start dates? There is NO way they will be building 3 new rides and the very expensive Avatar land all at the same time. It's Coco and Avengers - opening 2028 and 2029 AT THE EARLIEST - and then the Kuka Krap Ride.... and then Avatar MAYBE in the 2030s. And THAT will be in Phases. As will Villains Land. Josh D'Amaro is still full of crap.
