    9:04 There's actually a FOURTH potential site, based on the map--and with a bit of finessing, it's actually the biggest one: The big "red" (suitable) and "yellow" (marginally suitable) region between the west side of the Magic Kingdom and the north side of the golf courses. NOW...most of the "red" is closer to the golf courses, so obviously that's a noise issue...but the rest of the region is essentially freckled "red" and "yellow." Now obviously it'll require some work to upgrade the "marginally" suitable spots to full-on "red"...but it's been done before. So, again with some finesse, the northwest chunk of the property is a gold mine--maybe with a hotel or something put between the park and the golf courses, to manage the noise issue.

    I'd far prefer that Disney put attention into the existing parks way before another park. So many rides seem to have issues frequent enough that you're unlikely to avoid an issue on a ride or have a temporary closure on your visit. And there is just an overall worn down-ness to a lot of things that it really takes the magic out of Disney. I deleted what was going to be a dissertation of my thoughts as it was filling my screen on just Magic Kingdom and part of EPCOT, but I think there is just so much that needs to be restored to original condition, put back in to operation, or replaced completely before even making improvements on things at the existing parks, let alone create a new park. I could see the argument for a new park to ease crowds on existing parks so that major improvements could be tackled (like a complete Tomorrowland overhaul). I enjoy going to the parks, but that's with an annual pass, I'd probably be depressed if was just tickets for a summer vacation.

      Most people just like the idea of a new park. They will contort logic to fit their whim. Reality, Disney has one full day park (Magic Kingdom). They have a second, potential, full day park that requires billions in refurbishment (Epcot). And, two solid half day parks (Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom). Oh, and ignore the dumpster fire that is the company bleeding out money faster than a Russian oligarch’s bank account. All while burning economic bridges, over state politics, they never had any right getting involved in.

    A cool name could be Disney U.S.Sea like it’s the S.E.A’s US base.

      Disney has tried to build something similar to Tokyo Sea's in Long Beach, CA, back in the 90's (WESTCOT). Unfortunately, Disney did not have enough revenue to go through with the project. Disneyland, CA, has lost all chances for growth and is now land locked. Disney's only hope for growth is DisneyWorld. They better hurry because in the time it takes Disney to build trees and lands, Universal is down the road building new worlds and universes.

      I don't know if Disney would go for that, as it would be very close to Magic Kingdom in terms of multiple themed lands. I totally agree the most likely outcome is a bunch of IP attractions, but I think they'd need a specific theme to form the structure around them - with tenuous connections to the attractions, for sure. We currently have "Magic", "Real world" for Epcot? (roughly? idk? what do Disney think Epcot is?) , "Movies", and "Animals". "Seas" would be a good broad theme that's been proven to work - Moana area, DCA style pier area, as well as cribbing from Tokyo...
      What they no longer have that might be valuable, is a heavy emphasis on Animation. That might be a broad enough theme to give them a home for everything from Mickey Mouse to Pixar's latest. The third site listed is right by Art of Animation hotel....

    The parks will never be completed, so we will always have something to say as far as fixing up one of the current 4 parks. So its totally fine to consider a 5th gate. People keep saying to "fix" the current ones first, but why can't we consider a new park? Because we will forever be saying and finding something wrong with the current ones that would need fixing first. Why not build a new one where we could put all of our new ideas and after the new one is built, we can go back and continue updating the other 4. 😌

      Truly you could better spend 15 billion just expanding and fixing up existing parks. Even a smaller expansion or new land can have a major effect on attendance. I was at Seaworld yesterday and the crowds were massive with opening of their new surf coaster. Also its a bit ironic but while people are angry with Disney over child grooming, Seaworld's parent company is the same as Bud Lite yet it doesn't seem to be hurting attendance.

      Maybe the concern is that with a 5th park we'll have even more things to be disappointed over when they break. I can't believe how often the brand new, highly anticipated rides go down daily i.e. ROR, Remy's, etc. They closed down Peoplemover for quite a while a couple years back to fix the sensors and it's down daily now too. But, since everyone IS sick of feeling like a sardine-at least a 5th park would give more room to disperse.

  • @ddwktravel4250

    I don't know why this isn't a bigger consideration by Disney. We book a lot of client trips for 4-6 days, and that is either three park days, or five (usually two at MK). However, adding a 5th park, would no doubt mean 6 park days for a lot of families, and that would also mean 8-9 nights at their resorts. That would be a HUGE gain for them! Seems like it would be a no brainer.

    Whatever they end up doing with a fifth park, if they build it at your suggestion location, it'd be a great way to replicate going between the Harry Potter lands at Universal, but for Star Wars instead.
    Repurpose the Starcruiser shuttles into something that transports guests between parks. Taking guests from the sequel era of Galaxy's Edge into another land themed for another era in the timeline. My personal choice would a prequel-era land so it has a more visually distinct look compared to Batuu.
    The Starcruiser itself could even be repurposed into a hub for guests park hopping while they wait for the shuttles.

  • @LChatmanFL
    @LChatmanFL Год назад +13

    Although a 5th gate is exciting, plus I would love to see it, the smart money says probably not. A better strategy might be to announce a multi park expansion plan that tells guests that all 4 parks will see major expansions, not replacements of current rides. Perhaps 20 to 50 acres each. I can see major expansion to Pandora, Galaxy's Edge, Epcot(maybe not) & Magic Kingdom. Disney is sort of doing this in Paris (sort of) plus there are tons of rumors about a Disney Villians land, Zootopia, Encanto etc.. I do like the idea of a "Nostalgia" park that celebrates past projects and history.

    • @guidedmeditation2396
      @guidedmeditation2396 Год назад +1

      You are absolutely right. Especially due to the fact current attendance is at a record low. If every existing park has a major expansion it can help Disney compete against the Epic Universe but they also need to can all of their woke employees because the issues in florida are not as simple as Disney Vs a big bad mean Ron Desantis. It is about an out of state company trying to intimidate and threaten duly elected state legislators and the legal residents of Florida. BTW The concept of Reedy Creek Being special is very different when you have the educated perspective of an attorney that has set up many districts around FLorida. The only reason Reedy Creek was special is it was mismanaged and the company failed to live up to their promise of building an actual city and have the district to be run by the actual city residents.
      I too have thought of the district as being special but in fact it was just "A DISTRICT". The only thing actually special about it was how it was used to skirt paying taxes and how they raised billions in bonds. The district can issue billions in tax free bonds but if the company had control of the district and used it to evade millions in taxes this is a massive criminal act worse than ENRON. After all is said and done I want Disney World to prosper and expand and be a dream destination but they need to get out of politics and get out of the child grooming business. People want to love Disney and they want to give them huge amounts of money to experience the magic. The next few months will be very interesting to see how they avoid going bankrupt. They may have to sell off some of their overseas parks, it has been suggested by some people. But as you stated. It is not likely to see a 5th gate any time soon.

    • @LChatmanFL
      @LChatmanFL Год назад +1

      @Guided Meditation I think we can all agree that Disney has been not only good for Florida for the past 51 yrs, but great. In my humble opinion I am not really concerned about some of the taxes they may have avoided or "tricks" they benefitted from... I compare that to them being 1)the largest employer in the state 2) largest corporate tax payer despite avoiding some 3) the countless memories families have made 4)the massive tourism benefit to Florida etc. When you travel to Disney World, be honest, the grounds, the roads, the infrastructure are all well maintained. Including the resorts. The place is beautiful!!! There may be a few areas that need some love. Lastly, I don't consider Disney being involved in politics. Bob Chapek made the statement that got him in trouble after the 1st one he made was criticized by employees for not being strong enough. People have forgotten about his 1st. statement. For the record, I support giving parents control over what their children are exposed to. It's what most people believe is right. In 2yrs when DeSantis is gone and he is out of the limelight, this will not be a hot topic. The bigger issue for Disney is their financial well being. They got tricked into overpaying for Fox by Universal. They could have built Disney+ slowly and not all at once like they did. And they should have found a way to get the theme park rights to Marvel characters back.

    • @DSNYNewscast
      @DSNYNewscast  Год назад

      They have not disclosed how much actual cash reserves they have. The $200 million mentioned is just someone saying that they have info. I agree that free cash flow and actual cash reserve is not the same. But FCF is the only publicly disclosed metric. There are many companies like Disney that have huge debts and very littler operating income coming in. And yet they continue to operate. Disney's economic matters is more complicated than saying they have no cash reserves and therefore will go bankrupt soon. At the end of the day, all of this doomsdaying around Disney is more wishful thinking by people wanting Disney to fail than actual evidence of real possibility of insolvency. If Disney was really that close to the edge then the vultures would be circling like in the 80s with the green mail scandal. And rest assured there are many big tech companies that would like to scoop Disney up if that was the case, Apple chief among them.

Also, investing the necessary funds into Epcot’s still needed refurbishment (Space Ship Earth, Imagination, Sea Pavilion and/or Wonders of Life?..or another World Showcase attraction?). Also, they might want to look into spending more on maintenance, and investing in those monorails. The vehicles are extremely outdated, and the support pilings are crumbling. Edit: While they’re at it, spend more on cast and crew, since they deserve it.

      If they put much money into Animal Kingdom by re-doing Dino to an immersive dino section, adding DisneySea, expand Pandora, and re-visit the Beast. This will put the Animal Kingdom on the map.
      As far as Hollywood Studios, go ahead with the Rock roller coaster with the Muppets, expanding on Batu, turn the failed Star Wars hotel into some kind of expanded day only experience. You can ride a shuttle from Batu to this ship using the current shuttle for the day excursion that was there. Do not tear it down, expand into it, adding additional space for Batu. I would do this. Batu can be the experience of Star Wars 7-9 and the hotel experience, re-do everything and bring Star Wars 3-6. I said three, because it is the beginning of Darth Vader, the last few minutes of episode three. This will give guests a choice between the old 4-6 and the new 7-9. In fact, the failed SW hotel can be a star destroyer. Re-do everything and it can branch of rides around the huge building all inside the huge destroyer, or even the second death star.
      EPCOT, I agree, another two nations would be great. If Universal was not an issue, turn all of the west side of EPCOT into Marvel and right side into some kind of nature and human side. But that cannot happen because Marvel is Universal's property in the east side.
      There are four theme parks in Disney World. No need for a fifth, just expand on what is there. Now, in 10 years, perhaps. For now, I do not think it is needed.
      What I like to see is Disney World adding several more intense, not-so-intense, and kiddie coasters so that Disney World as a whole can become the roller coaster capital of the world. All, with awesome theming. It can be done, especially with new ride technologies. Six Flags Magic Mountain has twenty roller coasters. Disney World, let's beat that and do twenty-two. I know Magic Mountain is one theme park, Disney World is four. But in one location, 22 roller coasters, that would be amazing.

    There will NEVER be a 5th park in WDW, and there is a litany of reasons for that. Universal is actually learning some of those right now. A new gate actually doesn’t bring in more people, it divides them. Walt Disney World has all the people it can handle on a daily basis. Adding a 5th park just takes people away from the other parks. It happened when they added Animal Kingdom. It didn’t add to the total amount of visitors. It just pulled people from the other parks and activities. They have more than the number of parks they need. 4 is the highest that number will ever go.

      Some day there could be a 5th but it really doesn't makes sense right now for many reason. For one is they have massive room to expand current parks and add new lands and also they are on the verge of bankruptcy with only 3 months left in operating capital. It is very sad but also not surprising given that movie after movie has flopped so badly and attendance is way down.
      But forgetting all the problems and imagining they have plenty of money to expand. It makes sense to add new lands to all four of their parks instead of adding a 5th gate. To tell the truth I think they should consider a second Disney Springs like offering that is connected to the new Bright Line wherever it eventually ends up connecting.

It was funny that you gave a nod to the fifth Park I have dreamt of for years. A legacy type park whether it is called something like Disney vintage, or Disney retro, or Legacy, Disney. It would be a park where all of those beloved rides and attractions that have been removed from the other parks, could be restored with updated technology for all of us that grew up, going to the parks in the 80s and 90s, and to be able to share in person with our children. The wonders of life pavilion with Cranium Command, the World of Motion, Horizons, the original Journey into Imagination ride with the Dream Finder and Figment, Mr. toads wild ride, Snow White’s scary adventure, the back Lot tour, and so many other rides and attractions that we grew up loving. How I long to be able to share these beloved rides and attraction with those that never had a chance to experience them while they were around. This is what I would do with the fifth Park. It would be a nostalgic way for all of those who also loved these original rides and attractions to experience them again.

    My suggestion for the 5th park at Disney World is futuristically themed. And it's gonna be visually bigger than Tomorrowland with a bit of the contents found at Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser which will be defunct in no time.🚀

    For the 5th park... WAKANDA! I know it sounds crazy but a 5th park based around the MCU and Marvel as a whole would be amazing. There is so many IP within Marvel, so much potential, so much wandering characters as most of them are human or humanoid.
    It could potentially compete with Epic Universe on a scale hither to undreamt of.

    I personally think it’s likely that they would simply close the ESPN complex to build up the park in that location. I have heard through the years that the complex was built as a future expansion for a 5th park. It has the utilities already on-site. It has the infrastructure of Victory Way built to go straight into the property, as well as exits, roads, and ramps built to go there. It’s simply a perfect location tucked just far enough out of the normal areas to be a great location.

    I would want to see a park themed to the 4 seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. I think there’s a lot of room to work with IPs and original ideas that can fit into each season. Make the park icon a Sun-like structure and have each section revolve around it. I think it’s a great theme to add to a place like Florida, where it’s only summer year round, but you’re not married to a rigid theme like conservation at animal kingdom. If you pick an IP to theme a ride around, you just need the setting to match that season. And there are endless possibilities for original ideas in each season.

    A fifth park isn't additive in any way. It's actually reductive. Families from out of state typically only have one week for vacation, and 2 of those days are travel days giving the family 5 days. Between 4 major parks, 2 water parks, and Disney Springs, it would be next to impossible to squeeze in another full park, and NO ONE I know would be willing to give up a day at one of the existing parks to see some new park. What Disney needs to focus on is expanding and growing the current 4 parks. Adding at least 3 new offerings to each park (for a total of 12) along with new shops and eating, WOULD be the equivalent of a whole new smaller park, without increasing ticket prices or requiring additional vacation days.

      I've heard this rumor but I think it's unlikely to happen.
      1.) Disney doesn't have a park in Singapore.
      2.) Disney does not own or operate the Tokyo Disneyland Resort. The Oriental Land Company does. They just pay licensing fees to Disney. So Disney could not sell it as they don't own it to begin with.
      3.) Hong Kong Disneyland usually loses money so I don't think anyone would be interested in buying it.
      4.) The Paris resort is finally profitable after 30 years of losing money. This is probably the most likely to be sold if any of them get sold but even then I don't think it's that likely.
      5.) Shanghai is half-owned by the Chinese government. Unless the government decides to buy out Disney's half, I think it's unlikely it will get sold.
      6.) Disney's US parks are far too profitable for Disney to ever want to sell them.

    I was watching some universal videos and had an idea for Disney in case anyone from WDI is listening. What if Disney did something in each park similar to Universals “tribute” stores? There are still lots of Spaces unopened in the Disney Parks (think storefronts). We also know that there is a huge fan base nostalgic for past rides and shows. So what if Disney opened some of these spaces as tribute stores to “Horizons”, “20,000 Leagues”; The great movie ride”; etc. it would be cool to have a movie or VR of the ride POV playing in the back of the store so that we could show our kids the Disney we grew up with and then have your merch and props scattered around the store with the old ride music playing in the background. I think that would be a great idea to infill some space in the parks and keep the history of the parks alive and well for future generations!

    100% agree with the ESPN area. Personally, I would like to see a park filled with massive, immersive dark rides and lands; designed a bit like Universal's Diagon Alley/Knockturn Alley, so there is plenty of shade. It might include Zootopia, Moana, Avatar the way of water, Encanto, Coco, which could all be designed indoors with simulated daytime and nighttime transformations throughout each day.
    (I grew up in FL and have always been able to handle intense sun and heat, but recent trips to FL have felt a bit too hot in July/August/Sept. And it will likely get worse thinking long-term. If Mall of America can put more than 100 acres indoors, so can Disney.)

    I agree with you that the last option for land for a 5th park makes more sense. Now, what type pf theme park would be cool to have???? That´s a great question. Maybe the 5th park can have the following: Some sort of villan area using all the villians from all the Disney movies? Or, a park that has former rides from the other parks. I read that they´re going to be demaloshing Dinoland Usa for either Zootopia or Moana Land (or something like that.) If/when that happens they could create a 5th park that has the Dinosaur Park (and other Dinoland Usa experieences) and make it even better. Have a log flume ride like the one in Universal Studios, the Dinosaur Ride that could be relocated to this park, a similation ride (like the one that they used to have in Epcot called Body Wars,) etc. Maybe they can build the Indiana Jones ride that Disneyland has in this new park. Or, now that Disney owns Fox (and I think all the movies that Fox used to own like Alien and Predator) wouldn´t it be cool to use some of thoes ip´s in this new park? Inmagine mix rides (a walk through with a similation ride and a ride similar to Dinosaur) of the history of the Predator franchise, the Alien franchise and then AVP? That´ll be so cool. A walk though (kinda like the one that they had at Universal Studios Florida a while back during an HHN event that the walk through with the 2nd AVP movie (or at least a few scenes from the movie), then you´ll go through a similator ride (like the Body Wars ride that was at Epcot), and then a ride like Dinosaur (but obviously with Alien and Predator in which you´ll be on the side of the predator who wins the battle towrds the end of the ride.) Then have two different resturants which is designed by certain scenes from the franchises.
    One resturant would be made to look like the jungle from the original predator movie (with cast members dressed as the charecters from that specific movie and with the predator wondering around the resturant also.) And a resturant that has aspects of certain scenes from the 1st or 2nd Alien movie with (again) cast members dressed as charecters from thoes movies with the Alien running around the resturant, etc. Ofcourse there would be signs stating that little kids could get scared going on these attractions/experiences. I mean there is so much stuff that can be done since DIsney owns Fox (at least the entertainment part.) Or, they could do a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle experience/show. Or, a Might Morphen Power Ranger experience. A show in which a few audience members get choosen to be either on the Power Ranger side or the Villian side. They´ll get to dress up as one of the Ranger or an assistant to the Villan. Kinda like the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular in Hollywwod Studios. The difference is that the guests will get to take a pic with all the actors/actresses after the show (as a momento) maybe keep the costume (or some part of it) and get to see behind the scenes of how the show id done. That´ll be so cool. It´ll be cool to see them have The Great Movie Ride, Horizons, World of Motion, Malestrom, Backlot Tour, etc.
    They could also build new hotels that have activities for all ages. I think that it´ll be so cool if they offered cooking classes for the guests (not just the children though.) I would love to take a class in making freak shakes or baking cakes that look like Disney charecters (not just Mickey Mouse either though.) The hotels would offer babysitting services so that the adults can have some time alone. Maybe go see a movie, out to dinner, go back to the park and go on the rides without the kids, go to the spa, go do some of thoes behind the scenes tours, etc. I also agree that they should also fix all the older rides/ the rides that are currently having issue working correctly. There is so much potencial when it comes to making things work better at Disney World. The question is though.... Would they be actually willing to spend the money for a new park or to fix the rides/attractions that aren´t working too well at the moment.

    Imo, everything will be pushed for 'Disneyland Forward' in Anaheim for the additional parks(s).
    A best it would be a 'flat-line' competition for Disney to build another 'traditional' park in the Orlando region in order to compete against Universal...there is no way that Disney will be able to pull away enough guests from Epic Universe to dominate Universal economically.
    That 'Bright-Line' train has left the station with Universal being so far ahead of Disney with Epic Universe.
    BUT, Disney could easily be competitive in Florida with a policy of 'Plusing' the EXISTING parks with that 17 billion...including the 2 or 3 new 'lands' for the Magic Kingdom.
    The situation is flipped in California> Disney dominates and always will...no-way for Universal to change that reality. There is no land for any Disney competitor to 'cheaply' build on anymore.
    'Disneyland Foward' is it and in moving ahead with that project Disney would keep their 'grip' on S. California for another 50+ years.

    Whatever this 5th park should include, I highly suggest having Discovery Bay finally coming to reality. The lore of S.E.A. is already expansive in Disney World the other global parks, but I think they should kick up a notch. I know Fortress Exploration is the main hub in Tokyo but I think Florida should have the same treatment. Perhaps we could have a Jason Chandler attraction that can expand BTM further and maybe connect to say Jungle Cruise, Journey to the Center of the Earth, etc. Also whenever the tv show or movie comes out they can add some tie-ins as well and maybe some character meet and greets from the Shinji Takahashi books.

    Great video. You can see the passion of the fan base based on these comments. While I would love a 5th gate, I do agree we need upgrades in 1-4 first.
    Magic Kingdom needs a lot of help, I like the ideas of expanding MK with Coco, Encanto and a Villains Land. 'Its a Small World' needs transformed into a Tangled boat ride which makes the theming of that area much improved, while changing the Pinocchio restaurant into the Snuggly Duckling. The biggest issue with MK is Tomorrowland and how disappointing it is. Stitch remains closed and unused, Astroblasters seems dated when compared with other shooting attractions, Space Mountain needs a massive refurb which they should copy the Tokyo DL upgrade and Tomorrowland Speedway still using gas and not electric cars doesn't feel very 'tomorrow'.
    Epcot is still messy with the 5 year construction project for trees and paths. Imagination needs gutted, we all love Figment, but massive changes are needed. My biggest gripe is that each nation in the Showcase should have an attraction. Canada would be great with a log flume ride. UK with a Mary Poppins dark ride and definitely not an indoor carousel. France is good now. Morocco is in desperate need of an attraction, perhaps an outdoor coaster that stays low to the ground and around regional artifacts. Japan needs a Mt. Fuji coaster, this is my number 1. Italy needs a gondola ride that goes through Venice. Germany needs the Rhine River Cruise that almost happened. Add a new pavilion with Brazil and an immersive rain forest river rapids attraction (as this expansion lot is massive and maybe we can contain the visiting Brazilian crowds there). China needs a Mulan dark ride. Lastly, expand the Gran Fiesta Tour and theme to a Coco dark ride.
    Disney Studios has improved a lot in the past few years but needs a bit more of a nudge. Remove the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular and create a mini land with the Indiana Jones Adventure dark ride and a mouse coaster themed with the mine carts but add an indoor segment with effects. This would take us to an actual Muppets Land which will update Muppet Vision 3D, add in an omni-mover/scaled down version of the Great Muppet Movie Ride and an interactive Muppet meet-and-greet. We need to connect Toy Story Land to the Sunset Blvd and this will be by adding a clone of Cars Land from DCA. Cars Land should cover from Toy Story Land to the Rockin' Rollercoaster.
    Animal Kingdom is a half day park and needs the most work. Expand Avatar to include an E-ticket 'Way of the Water' attraction and more dining. Follow through with the discussed Moana and Zootopia changes to Dinoland USA. Add an Americas section and include animals found in NA and SA. This provides an opportunity to add a coaster based on the American eagle and maybe something on bears.
    Once we get all this (or better ideas than my scribbles) completed, then lets talk 5th gate. By then I am hoping the Marvel rights will be figured out and we can have the most incredible Marvel themed New York/Avengers Campus park.

The shopping district would probably still be free and you buy a ticket to get into the theme park. Perhaps Typhoon Lagoon would also be associated? The hotels are there, the transportation is there, the parking spaces are there, and the desire to visit fantasy springs and radiator springs is also there!! I don’t think fantasy springs would be an exact replica, in order to make sense with what is already at Disney world. I could even see Frozen being replaced with Moana in our version.

And they happened quite a few times causing 30+ minute delays.

    I think in addition to a large scale park Disney should try their luck with a boutique park where they can cap the amount of people who visit while using ideas that are too small in scale for a regular theme park but too big for a land. For example if they didn’t shove Star Wars into a land concept they could’ve done this as an experiment to test the waters.
    Having it be boutique would make the interactions more intimate but not full on LARPing like the Star Wars hotel wanted and there would be a handful of rides that fit into the story if you do want to follow the story of the park to the fullest extent.
    The only problem is getting Disney to care enough about a project like this.

    I know this is an odd suggestion, but I’d actually like to see them add a back entrance into MK. It could enter into the proposed Villains area which could then connect on one side to an expansion of Fantasyland and onto the other side to beyond Thunder Mountain. Then, they could honestly move Frontierland and put a New Orleans Square where the current one is therefore kind of solving an issue you mentioned in a previous video.

    We believe that the problems reported since 2020 at WDW have 3 main causes: the high prices Chapek initiated, irresponsible (adult) Guests, and the current situation in Florida. We urge Disney to re-hire all the Cast Members let go in 2020-22 to help maintain the Parks and assist Guests, before expanding in any form.

    Yes I always pass right by the espn complex and it’s a huge area of land they have there. I think a fifth park will fit there perfectly! Hope we do get an announcement for a 5th gate in the next D23! Plus like you said connecting the skyliner to the new park would be greatly beneficial for everyone due to Disney not having to spend too much because of the proximity.

    How about building out EPCOT?! As you know there is plenty of space and updating to be realized just in that one park. Or building out the Dino area of AK as we’ve been teased with blue sky concepts?! I could go on and on. Over and over and over at WDW they dream it all up, then slash budgets, then dumb it all down and eventually cancel most of it and what isn’t cancelled is often just a shell of the original announcement to expand or update.

    I think that this “fifth park” should focus completely on their animation division: I say this because Hollywood Studios doesn’t really focus on animation. Disney’s animation really lends itself to highly themed areas (just look at Arendelle in Hong Kong, or the Beauty And The Beast ride in Tokyo. There’s a neat limitless pool of creative possibilities here, and it could be more lucrative than epic universe. And Disneys already made some lands that could be import

    So I have 4 ideas for a Disney 5th gate;
    1. Disney’s Tragic Kingdom (based on villains)
    2. A Pixar theme park
    3. A sister park to Disney’s California Adventure (Disney’s Florida Adventure)
    4. A park celebrating the newest Disney IP (from like 2010 on)

      I agree.
      But they need to not repeat Disney Sea. Instead be forward thinking go for a future themed and newly imagined fantasy worlds. What really makes more sense is if Disney were to just do major expansions and its existing parks and perhaps add another way to get from the parking lot to the Magic kingdom.

    This issue is the theme of the park, realistically there isn’t a Disney theme that doesn’t fit into an existing park. People have suggested Pixar & animation but that then affects DHS reducing what can be used there. Also when Toy Story land is at DHS that would potentially be an issue for a Pixar park as to how Toy Story should or shouldn’t be included in it
    There is the legacy park idea which I can’t really comment on as I don’t actually know what it would include

    There no more new plans for the fifth Theme park at Walt Disney World Resort anymore!!! Only a new land and attractions could be expansions in across tbe four existing parks!!!
    And then, Ron DeSantis gets fired for being ruined everything!!!! And apparently, i want to see a sneak preview of every upcoming attractions and projects at EPCOT and Disney Parks, Experiences and Products in Destination D23 2023 at WDW in September!!!
    Because i believe that "Spaceship Earth: Our Shared Story" as fifth renovations of this ride in World Celebration, new unnamed Mary Poppins teacup spinner ride in United Kingdom Pavilion, new Wondrous China film in China Pavilion and PLAY! Pavilion in World Discovery, are ALL still PUT ON HOLD at EPCOT when the construction is done!!!!

    Honestly, what we dream up as armchair imagineers probably doesn’t come close to all the plans and incredible ideas just sitting in a Disney archive or office somewhere. I mean, what else did joe Rhode or Tony Baxter dream up that has yet to see the light of day? Seeing pictures of the old model of Epcot with Mt Fuji AND the Matterhorn still makes me really fantasize about what Disney world could be. Could you imagine world showcase with two mountains? Incredible! Honestly,
    All the parks could use several more smaller and larger attractions before a new park gets built. I hope that 17 billion goes to some grand expansion to the already existing parks

    I have long been enamored with the idea of a legacy attraction park to move aging rides to as well as acting as a museum to the history of the parks/company. The theming could be a bit like Paris with a number of large studio buildings that things are moved into for 'storage.'
    I personally also think that there is a great opportunity in having a ski resort/indoor waterpark with some outdoor fair-weather rides somewhere near the population centers of the northeast (Pocono mts, upstate NY...). This would make it more physically accessible to a large number of people who can't make it to Florida for an extended trip. It would be smaller and only be pulling people in for a day or two or a weekend, and would not be as grand as WDW, but would allow families to experience the 'Disney Magic' closer to home.
