I know people probably think what you do is easy, but to be so detailed in putting these videos together is a lot of work.
So many families benefit from the work you put in ❤ - it's one thing to hear about what will happen, but seeing and hearing at the same time is incredible.
I go to Disney and Universal often, but your videos are still useful for me as well ❤ - so, thank you!!

Last year I rope-dropped Astro Orbiter as a resort guest. I wasn't in the mood for Space Mountain, don't care about Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and I had a 9:30 am Lightning Lane for Peter Pan.
I'd never ridden it before bc I didn't want to wait in line for it. It was fun and I enjoyed the view but I probably won't make a point of riding it again.

Magic Kingdom is an absolute beast to conquer. This video just proved you can make the best out of any situation thrown at you on park days. I personally love a low-key early entry. My new routine has been early entry rope-dropping the PeopleMover (I was the first one on for the day this past trip!) and then mozying over to the back of the park for Haunted Mansion. I got gorgeous pictures of the Tangled rest area in between attractions too and it was such a lovely morning.

My mom and I had the most magical trip when I graduated college in 2008. On our mk day we were on the bus and realized we didn’t have a camera battery so ran back to the room grabbed the battery and ran back to the bus. Made it just in time for rope drop with the train and both cried happy magical disney tears!
We didn’t make it back for several years and were so sad the train rope drop was gone. We’ve had some of our best disney memories rope dropping parks.

If Molly didn’t invent the word luxuriate, I nevertheless attribute it to her in my mind. ❤😂
It is so helpful to have the timestamps for all the various aspects, such as when you arrived, when they let you in, wait times at various points of early entry, etc. Also so helpful to have the visual of where resort guests should go. All of this is really difficult for beginners to get a sense of. I really appreciated seeing what “second rope drop” for haunted mansion looks like because that is my plan for my next trip. As always, I appreciate your videos so much!

This video was an inspiration for Magic Kingdom yesterday. We did all the right things to be front of the line for rope drop and they told us 2 minutes before that 7 dwarfs was down we pivoted and went to Peter Pan and we were able to get 6 rides (only 1 using LL) in before our brunch which was the Tachobowl and just as delicious as you described. Another random group of friends heard me talking about our plans and said “she seems to know what to do we’re going to follow” and rode along with us on a couple. Thanks for videos!

I've seen this video like 3 times. I'm so glad that a seasoned pro like yourself had the same issue me and others have had during early entry. Those 30 min are hard because the big rides are already a long line, and you waste time going from ride to ride trying to get on something before 9. I'm glad you validated maybe using that time to knock out small rides or just walking to the other lands to rope drop those at 9.

Love this series. Was at WDW for MLK weekend/week. MK was sold out the day we went. Never seen it so crowded. So glad we took your approach to pick 5 things, etc. otherwise we would have had unrealistic expectations and we would have been tense and argumentative. Just saying. Just getting through the crowds, picking up food, etc., took extra time. So i guess that means we have to come back in a year or two to do the other stuff😀❤️. Anyway. Thanks for your “real” tips.

Great way to show how to drop back and punt. I do the odd things on rope drop. I once did EE at Jeoffry's. Another time I did it and sauntered over to the regular rope drop line for JC and was pretty close to the rope. Did JC then PoTC. Then I went to Westward Hoe and got a breakfast sandwich and coffee and sat on one of the platforms and people watched. One of the country bears was out wandering around and he came and sat next to me, we sat there swinging our legs and discussing my breakfast and the day (well I discussed, he nodded a lot). It was a perfect morning. I was only able to do both those EE's because it was the 6th morning of a 5 1/2 day trip and I had already popped in and out of all 4 parks multiple times during the week so the last day was just a relaxing day.

I just did this when I was there last week. Staying at AKL Kidani we knew we were far away so we caught the first bus and got to MK at about 7:20. We got in and headed to fantasyland for mine train in about 15 minutes. We were near the very front of where they hold the line at Cheshire Cafe. It took less than 15 minutes to walk through the queue and get on the ride. I would've been shorter but little kiddos in front of us were stopping to touch the gems and spin the barrels. Of course I helped get all the barrels to spin so we could see Snow White dancing on the ceiling. TL;DR Follow Molly's advice and catch the first bus from the resort and you'll be in the park early enough to be near the front for rope drop.

Right on Molly! At DL we always try, for 1 day at least, to rope drop the heck out of everything as early as humanly possible (i.e. not alway possible) and plan a res for Carnation Cafe at 10:30 where we can hopefully watch the band go by. Works more often than not, and we are mighty hungry & rly needing coffee by then! (PS Space is perhaps a better wake-me-up first thing than coffee, I’ve found. At 7am, just point me.
Haven’t yet been to MK, but aside from a couple of rides, and a few other attractions for serious nostalgia’s sake, might be one of our chillest parks… Would love to know what folks think are the must-dos for people who’ve been to DL many many times?

My (ex) husband and I were family of the day with another small family for the train station Magic Kingdom park opening show in 2006. 🚂❤ I wish I had recorded it. So magical, and like you said… they no longer do that. 😢

We've always been rope drop people but our last experience may have changed our mind or at least changed the way we do rope drop. Multiple mornings of our trip had at least one ride down. In fact, one morning at MK 7DMT, Pooh and Peter Pan were all down.

I don’t think they let you in early anymore even with a Castle breakfast - did this in January and was SO excited to have the park empty but they let us in with everyone else and everyone who had reservations mad dashed to the castle because everyone was confused and thought they’d be able to get in early (it was messy).
Also, I worked at MK about a decade ago and would be manager on the Welcome Show occasionally. It was the most panic-inducing show (because fireworks, a train coming in right on time, a bus load of characters, live actors/dancers and guests) but I miss it so much ❤

Same thing happened to us in September. Following this advice from previous videos, we specifically made an 8am crystal palace res. Came to the comments to see if there was a trick to it that I missed. Love team mammoth club but I think this particular piece of advice is outdated.

We rope dropped MK last week and we got there by 7:30am and we were about third row back from the rope. We were on and off Seven Dwarfs by 8:40. You have to get there really early!

This goes to show that the best strategy especially during busy times is a mix of ill, genie+, rope drop/ standby. To get the most benefit of rope drop is to be there 50-60 minutes before early entry, which means getting to the bus stop/ boat/skyliner 75-90 minutes before early entry.

Since I'm going to WDW during spring break, this gives me a good idea as to what my Wednesday morning for Magic Kingdom will be like :D
Thank you for these helpful tips! I'm glad that you showed that plans can change, but your enjoyment of the park doesn't have to change with it.
Would you recommend rope dropping for Tron? I'm staying at a deluxe resort and I'm trying to decide between buying a lightning lane for Tron in the morning or during extended evening hours.

I have been wondering for a while if the old rope drop tips to do 7DMT has been outdated. It seems like unless you get there SUPER early, it's not worth it.

We typically rope drop Peter Pan with our early entry and I've found that the line moves much faster and the queue time they give was always pretty off time wise. Not sure I'll ever attempt to rope drop Mine Train!!
