I love how you encountered a hiccup, rolled with it, and ended up still having an awesome morning. I also love seeing Erick and you doing different rides to see all the different possibilities.
Thanks Chrisann! While I do wish we could have had a more typical comparison, I also think it’s good to show how things sometimes happen and how you can still make the most of the situation and have a great morning. Thanks for watching! 😃
I just got back from an amazing 2 week holiday at Grand Floridian/ DisneyWorld and cannot tell you how grateful I am to you for your awesome videos! I am from London, and hadn't been to DisneyWorld since I was a kid in 1995, and so I spent 2 months watching all of your videos and formulating a strategy for the visit with my family. We had the BEST time and I was keeping my eye out for you and Eric, but sadly we didn't spot you. Your tips were invaluable, and we really had the best time. Thanks so much again, and I'll be recommending your videos to any friends who are headed to DisneyWorld! Best wishes, Elisabeth
Thanks so much, Elisabeth - we’re sorry our paths never crossed, but we’re very happy to hear that our videos helped you have a great vacation. Thanks for taking the time to leave us this lovely comment and let us know how things went - we really appreciate it. 😃
Omgsh Erick is so nice to that cast member who just squashed his early entry plans. So glad we’re getting to see more of him lately ❤. You guys are the best!
We always try to make Cast Members’ days a little brighter because they definitely do the same for us. And I love that Erick is warming up to being on the other side of the camera. At least for a little while. 😅
Hi Rob and Erick, I like the separated strategy idea, this helps to decide which would be the best way to start the park for a given family. It is ice to see Erick in the videos more and more. Thanks again for another great video.
Hi Timea! Erick is peeking in more and more. 😃 Glad you’re enjoying these split strategies (even though they sometimes go awry like in this video - but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes and it helps to see what can happen). Thanks - as always - for watching!
Rob showing once again how even on Spring Break, WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. You can get plenty done. I feel like so many people that complain about spring break crowds are simply unwilling to or unable to see the value of getting to the park EARLY.
I have to say you guys are the best at explaining how to do the parks! I recommend your vlog to everyone I know that’s heading to WDW and is clueless. Thank you and bravo!
I like these videos before I even watch. LOVE the multiple perspectives and find it very helpful when trying to plan for our trip in September! Thanks for all you do!!
My husband and I went to Disney on our honeymoon last year and love to watch your videos after a long work week and reminisce and talk about Disney. Thanks for bringing joy into our week!
I just wanted to compliment you and Eric on being one of my favorite vloggers. In case you're wondering why...you just give facts with helpful opinions...you don't have any political under tones ever. You guys are strictly fun and business. Even your challenge with the Lost in a Wonderland crew was fun, fast and informative. I've now started watching them occasionally. They don't have your pizazz yet but if they keep studying you I'm sure they will. I'm hoping you and Eric start doing Universal vlogs as well. Hopefully, before Epic Universe opens. We could use fun to the point people. The Pugh two are awesome as well but they only put out 1x per week so it'd be nice to have your perspective as well. Thanks for all the magic!
Thanks so much - we’re so glad you’ve been enjoying our videos. And I have some good news - we’ll be doing some Universal videos very soon! Thanks for watching! 😃
Thanks so much Rob and Erick. Please don’t stop all that you do. Your approach, explanations, and advice is truly leading the field. Thank you so much!
I can't tell you how excited I get when a new video is uploaded! Yay!!!! :) This is awesome. Leaving two weeks from today for our trip. So helpful as always!! You two are my favorite.
Great video! Once again, you took one for the team and got up in the middle of the night to start this early entry video 😊 What a great morning, and fun to see Erick in the video too!
Thanks so much, Kathy! We get ‘em up as fast as we can, but it always takes longer than we’d like. 😅 We really appreciate your support for what we do - thank you!
Just got back from my trip and I did exactly what you did last Sunday in MK. We had the perfect morning! Walked right on to Mine Train, headed to Space right after, and had time for some breakfast at Gaston’s. It was the smoothest day ever! I can say that because we did not do early entry properly on our last day as we were dragging! But we did second rope drop at Adventureland. Worked out! Thank you for doing these! 😊
Got to meet you both last weekend and you were so kind! I was the awkward one at the fireworks that panicked and didn’t know what to say 😂 but Erick was so nice and took a picture for me and gifted me a pin. You both are the best and it was great to meet you!
missed you by one day- I got to Disney on Saint Patrick's day -walked in to Magic Kingdom on accident-long story-and the parade was JUST reaching the front of the park-set the tone for the whole trip. Going to be back Jun 16-28th hope to run into to you I'll buy you a coffee or something thanks for all the great videos
Great video as always, Rob! Our family of three said hi to you that morning as you walked towards fantasyland. It made the first day of our trip extra special! You told our son that he will be surprised by Space Mountain at DL. We also enjoyed meeting you (in our dapper wear no less!) at Jollywood when you were filming some much needed positive comments for those who were unsure about that new experience. Thank you so much for the great content you and Erick create. Our family is a big fan! Your tips were a big part of what turned our “once in a life time trip” last year to likely a lifetime of trips to WDW ❤️ Hope to see you around when we are there in June 😊
We met you waiting for rope drop the day you recorded this video! Rob and Erick, you are so kind and friendly! I love my Ear Scouts button 😊 Your videos were instrumental to our trip planning. Hands down my favorite Disney RUclips channel. The one where you each did a different strategy for Animal Kingdom Pandora was so good and informed how we planned our day there. I love that photo studio in Sir Mickey’s. My girls had the most precious photo shoot there after Bibbidi Bobbidi. You are so right about that day at MK being lower crowds. I was concerned about it ahead of time, but it was our most productive day of our MK days, even with a few rides being down in the morning. Thank you so much for all of the hard work you put into these videos!
It was an amazing morning, right? We got super lucky. 😅 I’m so glad to hear that our videos helped you to have an amazing vacation. Also - thanks for saying hello! Hopefully our paths will cross again on your next Disney adventure. 😊
We finally had our Disney trip this weekend after a few years of missing Disney. I was able to use your tips to secure a lightning lane for Remy at 8:30pm and then bumped it all the way up to 11:45am. This made our trip, Remy was my 7 year olds must do ride. We also had a few rides go down while we were there and I already knew what to do from your videos. Thank you for all your wonderful content.
I love seeing Erick in videos now too! Also love the separate strategies, I think that’s super helpful. Hubby and I are planning one more solo trip, likely for September, so I’m excited to do my Disney research which consists of watching Earscouts over and over again!
Thank you so much for all your videos. I have been to Disney many times as a kid and now as an adult taking my five year old (usually just once a year though so we try to employ the best strategy to accomplish all our must dos). Your videos and strategies have been so helpful, even for someone fairly well-versed in Disney. We are going to be there next week and loved a 2024 update video. And thank you for all the beautiful shots of the rides and ambiance in between your helpful tips - you guys are great at what you do.
Thank you. You and Erick are such a good team. My recent visit to Disneyland, even though more than twice as far than disneyworld, makes it harder to plan a Disneyworld trip. I’m just spoiled! Even that little aside at the end about the photopass opportunity reminds me how we enjoyed photopass being included with genie in California and how we took more pictures than ever before. So grateful to have you to do the disneyworld visits so I can go along without the hassle or heat of traveling there.
Thanks so much, Carol! I wish they would include ALL the PhotoPass photos with Genie, but the ones taken by photographers aren’t currently included. That said, they are usually happy to snap a photo with your phone if you ask nicely. 🙂 Thanks - as always - for watching and taking the time to leave us a lovely note. We really appreciate it!
This video has perfect timing- we are going to be at MK in 10 days! (My five year old daughter’s very first trip.🎉) I love the split strategy and I loved seeing how empty the carrousel was for Erick. I’m thinking our EE strategy for day 1 might be to rope drop Winne the Pooh and then do the Carrousel and Tea Cups afterwards, and save Peter Pan for Genie+ and Seven Dwarves Mine Train for ILL. Thanks so much for the tip about the photo studio in Sir Mickey’s- we will definitely be doing that! You guys are the best! ❤
I was soooo excited to see a new video. We will be going to Disney in two days. Your videos have prepared me so much. I have watched many of them multiple times. You make them so easy to understand. I can’t wait to put all your tips into practice. Our plan is to do genie+ at MK and HS and just do early entry at Epcot and AK. Thank you so much. P.S. I have been greeting my family members with a Hi-ho every morning this week.😁
Great video as always Fellas! I have a couple of theories as to why the park was quieter and queue times shorter. Most importantly, it's the 8am public opening time. When it is 9am far more people can get there for the official open. Being on resort guests your awake time for the 7:30 entry will probably mean a lot people cannot make that. It's sooo early! Secondly, as it was Spring Break (does that include Easter?? Sorry, from the UK) and Disney are it to be busy, they staff the park up accordingly. The third thing is the impact of 1 & 2 together - it is huge. Hence the lower crowds. I seem to remember Genie+ hitting price highs and selling out that holiday so the people were there. For me the take-away is if early entry is on an 8am opening day - make the effort and go for it!
Perfect way to demonstrate the power of a good rope drop strategy. Then you have time to go back to your hotel for a nap and finish the rest of your rides in the evening. ❤
I am a new Ear Scout- love the channel! Please keep it up! Also would love to see and hear more of Erick’s thoughts in addition to Rob- you guys are a great team!! ❤
Love this videos the many possibilities and options and like you said stay on the lookout 👀 for opportunities. Erik me encanta que apareces más y más en lo videos saludos a los dos. Keep up the great job!
Hola Karen! Soy Erick. Me gusta más aparecer en los vídeos como si jugáramos a encontrar “dónde está Waldo?” De verdad apreciamos mucho el apoyo que nos brindan al canal, significa mucho para nosotros.
I LOVE your videos! I do have one request: I want to show family members how worthwhile it is to wake up really early and wait for an hour at the park entrance, and they're much more responsive to language like "getting to experience more" than "knocking rides off the list." It often sounds like you're talking about the rides like they're tasks, and I get what you're saying, but if I show this to my brother, he's going to key in to that and say "I don't want to go to the park like it's a chore." Love, love, love what you're doing, please receive this feedback in that spirit!
This is really great feedback. Thank you. While I truly love enjoying the rides at WDW, I think you’re right - my language doesn’t always sound that way when I am focused on the task at hand making these videos. I appreciate the suggestion!
Rob, love this video, and showing how flexibility is key! Btw. I ran into you on this same day, around 8pm at Skipper Canteen. I was the Dad taking my kids through the SEAS room, saw you and Erick at the Butterfly table! Didnt want to interrupt too long, but am truly grateful for your gift of this channel, made our 2 day quick vacay amazing, did almost everything we wanted, even showing up late! As annual passholder now, excited to keep watching and making MAGIC happen for my family. Thanks again!!
Great new video. So much helpful info and I love the split format with both of you trying different strategies. Will you be in the parks Friday-Sun? We will be using all your tips!
Hi Jenn! We will probably be in Animal Kingdom for a hot minute tomorrow afternoon, but that might be it this weekend unless something comes up. Maybe we’ll see you then? Thanks for watching! 😃
Hey Rob. Headed that way in 12 days. Thanks for all the tips. I'm buying LL for seven dwarfs, hopefully virtual que for Tron, and Genie plus for Peter pan. Hopefully a good start...
Hi Rob!! I absolutely adore you and your videos!! My husband and I have an upcoming trip in August and this will be our first time and I have been binge watching all of your videos 😂 & throughout all of the Disney content I have seen you are by far THE BEST You mentioned something about riding rides after fireworks. Can you show us what reverse rope drop looks like in the parks and the strategy if there is one? I’ve tried to find more information but can’t seem to come across it. Thank you for all you do! Hope to see you then!! ❤️
Rob and Eric, love this video. As always. You guys are fantastic. Are you planing on making a video of early entry plus genie +? That would be AMAZING!
Hello! We actually started this series last year. It’s called “all the bells and whistles” and so far we have only done one for Hollywood Studios: ruclips.net/video/-I79q2CF9dk/видео.htmlsi=G2YPsmeHOns0fwdv
Rob, I always appreciate videos like this. I’m wondering if you could make a similar video for people who can’t ride roller coasters or do big drops. I know a lot of your top rides (Seven Dwarves, Space Mountain, Big Thunder) are coasters, and I’m thinking that if you take those off your list there are others that maybe i could fit in (Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion.) The last time i had MK early entry i spent it eating a Cheshire Cat Tail! Thanks for all you do!
Great video always look forward to your videos for updates….wanted to ask you for my upcoming trip to Disney in July we are staying at art of animation are we able to drive to the park in our vehicle to access early entry or does it only apply to buses and monorails 😊
Hello! Art of Animation can access Epcot and Hollywood Studios by Skyliner and Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom by bus. You could drive, but you would have to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take the Monorail or Ferry to Magic Kingdom. It would probably be easier to take the bus. Thanks for watching! 😃
Wow! I went in August during the supposed slow season. Got into MK for early entry and 7DMT was swarmed as soon as they let us in. It immediately went to a posted 70 minute wait!
Yup - it’s hard to know what the “slow season” is anymore. I just feel lucky when we happen upon days like this one where the parks are unexpectedly quiet. 😊
Hi Rob, Found this video and was wondering if you’ve done an update on all of the parks early entry to reflect the new lightning pass system in conjunction with Tiana’s and Tron. Keep up the great work! I find your lightning videos the most thorough and informative of all the accounts!
Hello! They are coming soon. We’ll have a new batch that shows the changes from TRON, Test Track and new procedures at Hollywood Studios after we finish the remaining LL strategy videos for each park. We also have holiday stuff to cover, so it may be 2025 before they all come out. Thanks for letting us know that you’re interested in those, though. It helps us plan what to prioritize. 🙂
These are great but when I go end of June. Early entry for magic kingdom is 830am. Your video says 8am. I’m staying at contemporary. What time do you suggest us arriving at magic kingdom?
Great video! I have a question... Now that tron no loner has a virtual que, nor does it have a LL multi pass option, should this be our 1st early entry rope drop ride? The removal of the virtual que has thrown a small monkey wrench in our plans, and we will be in Disney on October 10th. Crossing fingers you see and reply. Take care.
We LOVE busy days when we make a video because we feel like it gives folks a better idea of what to expect. But sometimes we end up with a quieter day than we expect and those days are really fun. I guess it was a little St. Patrick’s luck that we missed all the crowds. 🍀
Would you consider doing a video on all the transportation around the parks? Like what's the best mode of transportation to get from one particular park to another? Especially if you plan to park hop and want to maximize your time.
We are actually planning a video just like that, but we’re still trying to figure out how to make it fun and not confusing (which is harder than it sounds 😅). Thanks for the suggestion! 👍
As an AP holder, I don't feel the necessity to rise before the crack of dawn to be in an early entry line. I can come and go whenever I please. Yes I will have longer lines, but so be it. I don't feel like I have to see and do everything in one trip. I usually come up with a specific purpose in mind, like do one or two rides and a show or two, have a lunch or dinner reservation, and leave. Fortunate to be able to do this with my AP ticket. But to each his own. If this is the trip of a lifetime for a young family, I'd say go for it and follow his instructions. , Just not for me, a single older lady with plenty of time to spare.
I have a question, you mentioned the best time to do some rides is after the fireworks, is that time available to all guests or only guests with early entry?
Hello! At Magic Kingdom, the fireworks pretty much always take place before the park will close - in some cases hours before. This is the regular park close time for everyone, not just hotel guests. That said, there is typically one night a week (usually Wednesday) when Magic Kingdom has extended evening hours for guest at Deluxe Resort Hotels (not all Disney resorts qualify). Even on those days, there will be plenty of time after fireworks to get in a few rides even if you don’t qualify for Extended Evening Hours. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Hey Rob. Greetings from brazil. I have a feeling that in 2020 just before pandemic, we did rope Drop even though we were not at a disney hotel.. at the regular open time (8:30)...we've gone tô seven dwalfs, and made it immediatly (8:30) But.. In 2022 we've gone again.. and in that time... our rop Dropbox at 8:30(regular)... we stood in front of the castle side.. looking foward.. fantasy land was croweded ... when we arrived seven dwalfs... the time line was 60 minutes already.. Soo we didnt do it.. The question: Early entry aways happens? Every since the begining? Or there was a time early entry used to occur on especific days? Sorry for my english. You are the best in this SUBJECT=DISNEY
Hello Mauricio! They used to offer what were called “Extra Magic Hours” both before and after regular park hours and they were typically specific to one park per day. So it would have been possible to go to Magic Kingdom when there was no early entry. Now, with early entry, it is every day at every park, but extended evening hours are only on a specific night of the week (typically Monday for Epcot and Wednesday for Magic Kingdom - Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom rarely offer extended evening hours) and they are exclusively for Deluxe resort guests. Thanks for watching! 😃
@@EarScouts thanks.. keep doing that incredible Job. By the way, you could Record a vídeo talking about children in the Park. How to use child swap or similar. 🤩
A group of 11, ages 5 yrs to 76 yrs. Some will not be able to do a ride and other times all will ride or go to a movie. Can a group split and go to different rides or movie?
Maybe I missed it… Sorry if I did, does early entry at Mk is always at 7:30 am ? I did not start a day at the magic kingdom during my trip, so now I am wondering…
Exactly as Jennifer said - you just need to check the My Disney Experience app or the website to find the hour for the day you visit and it will be 30 minutes earlier than regular opening time. Thanks for watching! 😃
I love how you encountered a hiccup, rolled with it, and ended up still having an awesome morning. I also love seeing Erick and you doing different rides to see all the different possibilities.

I was always a park open to close type of girl! Turned 30 and stayed in property… this mid day breaks made my trip 1000000x better!😂
I am a new Ear Scout- love the channel! Please keep it up! Also would love to see and hear more of Erick’s thoughts in addition to Rob- you guys are a great team!! ❤
As helpful as usual, thanks for the tips. We are steadily planning for our big family visit in August 😊
This is perfect! Our trip is in a month and I love watching your videos to get ideas!
I absolutely love these videos. I find the different perspectives so helpful in planning for our trip! Thank you 😊
Thanks so much, Kayla! We’re so glad you’ve been digging this series. We still have a few more in the works. 🙂
Love this videos the many possibilities and options and like you said stay on the lookout 👀 for opportunities.
Erik me encanta que apareces más y más en lo videos saludos a los dos.
Keep up the great job!
Hola Karen! Soy Erick. Me gusta más aparecer en los vídeos como si jugáramos a encontrar “dónde está Waldo?”
De verdad apreciamos mucho el apoyo que nos brindan al canal, significa mucho para nosotros.
you're amazing, i'm local and your tips were amazing! keep doing this please!
I LOVE your videos! I do have one request: I want to show family members how worthwhile it is to wake up really early and wait for an hour at the park entrance, and they're much more responsive to language like "getting to experience more" than "knocking rides off the list." It often sounds like you're talking about the rides like they're tasks, and I get what you're saying, but if I show this to my brother, he's going to key in to that and say "I don't want to go to the park like it's a chore."
Love, love, love what you're doing, please receive this feedback in that spirit!
Hello! Yes - I remember meeting you - and I’m so glad to hear you had a great time at the parks. Thanks for saying hello! 😃
I need this for Epcot and hs by end of May!
I love the separated videos where you have two perspectives and different starting points!
Thanks - that’s helpful for us to hear! We’ll try to keep thinking of new ways to use this format in helpful ways. 😀
@@EarScouts are you going to do the same thing for 2024?
@@doronalperin9480 Yes - we are planning to continue the series, but not sure when we’ll make the next one yet.
New ear scouts video =great day! Thanks!
Aww - thanks, Laura! 😃
Perfect timing! I’m heading to Disney in the morning!
Hi Diana - hope you are having a great trip. Thanks for watching! 😃
Good morning! Love all you do. We hope to run into y'all in June.
Hi Tiffany! Thank you - I hope our paths cross while you’re here. 😃
Refreshing video , love it 😊 as always
Thanks, Lindsay! Glad you enjoyed this one. ☺️
Crazy, about the crowds. I could not believe my luck on 3/18/24 and 3/19/24. Another great video.
It’s been so crazy - you just never know anymore. 😅 Thanks for watching!
Love Erick’s solo Carousel ride! 🎠 One morning last week we rope dropped Aladdin, and had a private screening of Tiki Room 😂
Awesome! Private shows are the best. Say hello to Bea for us. 👋
@@EarScouts I sure will. She asked yesterday when we could see you both again 😊
Just discovered your channel. Great video!! Can you give me your opinion on Genie+? If you do the early entry strategy, is it necessary to?
Thank you so much for this video
Hi Rob,
Found this video and was wondering if you’ve done an update on all of the parks early entry to reflect the new lightning pass system in conjunction with Tiana’s and Tron.
Another great video!! 👏👏
Thank you, Rebecca! 😊
So, do you use some Disney genie plus that day? Because according to the early entrance you were able to do most of the rides without genie plus
Thank you so much for making these videos.
Hi Julie! Thank YOU for watching! 😃
Take care.
What are you using to record your videos. Phone? Holder ?
St. Patricks Day, and Spring break. Brave my friend, very brave. 😀
We LOVE busy days when we make a video because we feel like it gives folks a better idea of what to expect. But sometimes we end up with a quieter day than we expect and those days are really fun. I guess it was a little St. Patrick’s luck that we missed all the crowds. 🍀
I love watching Rob
I love these two approach videos
If you could do it for non resorts too
Hi Jessica - that’s a great idea. Thanks for the suggestion! 👍
What day of the week did you go on this day? I’m wondering if this was a weekend with this amount of people and kids going for early entry.
Never mind you mention later it’s spring break 😅
Would you consider doing a video on all the transportation around the parks? Like what's the best mode of transportation to get from one particular park to another? Especially if you plan to park hop and want to maximize your time.
We are actually planning a video just like that, but we’re still trying to figure out how to make it fun and not confusing (which is harder than it sounds 😅). Thanks for the suggestion! 👍
Solo carousel ride is now on my bucket list ❤
It’s pretty do-able during Early Entry. 😂 Thanks for watching! 😃
Is there a way to find out in advance what time the first bus to any given park will arrive in advance?
I've now seen how early entry works for MK, HS, and AK. How is the early entry different/same at Epcot? Thx!
What time was the 2nd rope drop for Adventureland that you were done with the Jungle Cruise attraction by 8:40?
I am staying at a Hilton the night before, but at Disney Pop after that. Can I do early entry on the morning that I check-in to Pop
Hello! Yes - your check-in and check-out days both qualify for the perks. Thanks for watching! 😃
@@EarScouts thank you!
How do you get this early entrance ? :) Normally it is half an hour
Yay! Also Erick is so cute-you too.
Aww - thanks. ☺️
Hey Rob. Greetings from brazil. I have a feeling that in 2020 just before pandemic, we did rope Drop even though we were not at a disney hotel.. at the regular open time (8:30)...we've gone tô seven dwalfs, and made it immediatly (8:30)
But..
The question:
Early entry aways happens?
Is Peter Pan always closed until park open or was that unusual?
Maybe I missed it… Sorry if I did, does early entry at Mk is always at 7:30 am ? I did not start a day at the magic kingdom during my trip, so now I am wondering…
It's half an hour before whatever the regular opening time is that day (which varies)
Exactly as Jennifer said - you just need to check the My Disney Experience app or the website to find the hour for the day you visit and it will be 30 minutes earlier than regular opening time. Thanks for watching! 😃
Thanks to you both !
Erick alone on the carousel 😭
😂 I think he was loving the chance to have an entire Magic Kingdom attraction to himself.
Thanks you this is how to do Disney
Thanks, Martha! 😃
Where did he get his Mickey sorcerer ears?!?! I’m seeing them everywhere
Hello! They are from Disneyland Paris. Thanks for watching! 😃
What day do you usually go to Magic Kingdom? Every time I’ve ever gone, it was slammed busy.
The height difference caught me off guard :o
I’m the first for early entry lol.
It’s one of the few instances where I am excited to get out of the bed that early. 😁
Yay
🥳
Good morning
Good morning, Cruella! Thanks for stopping by! 😃
First
Thanks for watching (and watching so quickly 😅)
