we just took Rob's advice for our planning for this year's trip. Biggest take away for us is grab the Genie + you can when you can and then use the Genie slots to improve the times so your day starts fitting together perfectly. Worked like a charm at all the parks and only caused my family to yell at me three times that I was spending too much time on the app LOL. Don't get to obsessed that you miss out on any family time.

Every time I watch one of your videos it relieves my anxiety about our upcoming trip to Disney at the end of this month. Watching you always makes me smile and I never leave without a couple new tips! Keep it up guys!
LOTS of great tips here, including the emphasis on how much you can get done at rope drop, during and after the fireworks, and getting onto a big ride like 7DMT just minutes before closing. And what I like best is that all this defeated the need to do Genie+ or LL. Park tickets are expensive enough without adding potentially a few hundred $$$ (depending on how many are in your family/group) onto that. Great stuff!

Funny that you did Big Thunder Mountain during the fireworks, back in the 90s my family and I would purposefully get stuck on the side with Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain during the night parade and go back and forth between the two during the parade, we basically walked on both rides for like 30+ minutes lol

Unlike other videos I’ve watched, yours stand out in the crowd! You take great care in explaining AND SHOWING every little detail. First class!
In trying to decide if it’s worth it to save $35 per person for Genie+, I’m making a “spreadsheet” of our “target” Magic Kingdom ride wait times at different times of day. It is very interesting indeed.
We will avoid the puke rides, TRON and Space Mountain, which have the longest wait times anyway.
We’ll look it all over and decide what to do on an upcoming spring break Tuesday.

We are going the end of April for ten days. My plan is to do it exactly the way you did. Start at jungle cruise and just go from there. I told my wife the phones stay in our bags and we will just enjoy the experience like it was the 90’s. I remember going to Disneyland when I was a teenager and not caring how long the lines were. We were just happy to be there and enjoy the experience

this was a great video! Everyone makes it seem mandatory to get Genie+, so I'm very encouraged by these tips on how to make the most of a day without Genie+ and that extra cost. Although you mentioned it was great way to experience the Magic Kingdom without the fuss of Genie+, it does still seem that Disney forces you to use the app to keep tabs on which attractions have the lower wait times. I've enjoyed my visits when using Genie+, but you were able to do everything without it, so I'm absolutely going to try it in the future! I hope you will do more of these No Genie videos for the other parks!

One time several years ago we rode BTMRR during firework completely unplanned. What a fantastic surprise to come out of the mountain just as a burst of fireworks appeared right ahead of us. It was the most amazing sight! One of my most favorite memories.

This video is super helpful. It is scandalous that Disney charges as much as they do for Genie +. Glad to see pointers for how to get rides in without spending $$$$ or languishing in long lines.
Another super helpful video!!! Do you think it’s possible to do this in Hollywood Studios? I’ve heard HS is the one park you really need Genie+ but that it’s the park that Genie+ will only get you a 2 to 3 ride advantage. Love to see you conquer HS without G+!!
