- We heard there were some BIG upgrades (NEW MATTRESSES) happening in the rooms at Shades of Green this week so we booked a very last minute trip to check it out for ourselves. We surprised Story and picked her up early from school. She was TOO excited which made it WELL worth the 6 hour drive to get there. We usually travel early in the morning but this time we made an exception. We got there at the perfect time, just before sunset. Once we checked in and got to our room we settled in, got changed and decided on ordering take out from Manginos for dinner. We went to bed with full bellies and woke up to let you know just HOW well we slept with a full circle mattress review. Important stuff! lol

It did feel good to be there! It was also nice to just spend a day at the resort without waking up at the crack of dawn to leave ya know? We need to do that more often and actually enjoy the beautiful grounds and the pool. Story could have stayed out there all day lol I hope you can convince hubs to go!! 😆

Congrats on your upcoming retirement. I love your vlogs! We're a retired couple who has used SOG for years. Great resort, great prices. Must say disappointed at the Poly disconnect as it was fabulous. We're headed to SOG in Dec and Hale Koa next year. Keep up the well-informed and well-organized vlogs. We just left, the mattresses were stacked in the hallway. They are a pillow top style. We had ours changed out the last night of our stay, much better!!!

Question for you and I was uncertain where to put so hoping you see. But can you enter and leave the disney park throughout the day? Like, can you go into the park and then leave for a few hours and return later that day?

Oh noooo I’m sooo sorry! That is awful! Thankfully we are back home and we are fine so we dodged the germs this time. But we have been sick on vacation before and it’s absolutely terrible. Believe me…I’ve been there! I hope you feel better soon!
