What if this really happened in the past? Will it change how we'll live? Imagine if all the ice in antartica melts and we find evidence connected to all the mythology of the past civilization.
I'm a Muslim but I always see these thing possible why you may ask. Well because in islam god created many beings before creating the humans but because those being caused chaos all the time he had to send angels to fight them off and then create a new world then settled with the humans and all of that idk it's not far fetched I'd say that those mythologies were written before humans existed like idk how but the manuscripts existed in the past and were found by Vikings and then made into a religion but with modern society those manuscripts are hidden away and such I believe in those mythologies not directly as in oh yeah it happened but I believe that somehow this was possible not in the same way as its thought of by people but in a certain way I believe also in greek mythology
If that happens I think we'd be dead from the sea water. Plus, I care more about the polar bears and penguins etc that'll go extinct. If all that happened then I donno what kind of world order is going on but the mistakes of the past are sure being repeated.
For a minute there I couldnt figure out if I had clicked the wrong video and I might be listening to A Game of Thrones theory or explanation video and then I realized, this is where George RR Martin got the idea for the long winter.
What's amazing is that the forces of the gods(einherjar) were far more numerous than one can imagine During fimbulwinter Men constantly warred with each other and died in battle Either dying against each other or packs of wolves while on the hunt This means there was a surplus of the usual amount of einherjar that the valykries took to Valhalla More people died fighting than people who died in other ways Meaning more people formed the army of Valhalla than people who formed the army of hel Even before fimbulwinter this remained the case As vikings existed Yet surtr was still able to no diff all of the gods remaining(presumably even the vanir, since surtr generates all heat in the universe) As well as all the einherjar

The allfather of the Vanir did not die in Ragnarok. But he returned to his fortress over/ by the sea. He is also said to take over after Odins death and settle the realm of Swedes as their king. May the remaining aesirs got to take over when Njord became king of the Swedes. One son of Odin is also said to have become the king of Danes.
Well at least it's better then how people constantly calls the Jotnar "Giants" when they are not. It's the same as refering to Gnomes and Cyclopses. There is nothing similar between them.

What's with mythology and dogs or wolves guarding the underworld Thanks for the 10 likes and thanks to the people who commented helping me fill me me big brain.
Canines are naturally territorial. That’s the same wherever you go. Most ancient religions believed in some sort of afterlife. They needed to believe that there was some sort of primordial force keeping the dead from ever coming back to the living, and the wolf or dog was an unsympathetic animal when it came to guarding their realm. You can’t reason or bargain with an animal’s natural instinct like you could with a traditional guard. The dead or living wouldn’t be able to play on the guard dogs’ sympathies, and an animal can’t be bribed with riches like humans or even gods. Ancient humans most likely used that “logic” to come to the conclusion that the guardian of the underworld was some sort of canine.
i'm really hyped for GOW Ragnarök's plot because we know lots of it are gonna change for example both magni and modi (the god of courage, originally, how ironic) are dead and loki's half greek lol
I think loki in one piece ate legendary devil fruit based on Fenrir. The fruit would suit prince of giants. Plus he is captured in chains just like fenrir and Norse loki

Let’s go god of war ragnarok!
Personally I love God of War’s take on the Norse pantheon and Ragnarok
Tyler Rodriguez yeah but the problem with it and god of war generally is that it makes out basically all the gods to just be completely evil, which just doesn’t make sense, it does have a good portrayal of the giants as not just evil but it makes the gods a little too evil
@@Valiguss It doesn't portray all the gods as evil. The Vanir Gods are good, and Tyr was a good God.
The reason they are kinda evil because of greed or from the Pandora’s box in which Zeus kept but Keaton opened
Expect that Thor was a champion of the common people, not some evil person
God of War is as historically accurate as much as a fish can climb a tree...just wait until Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to see an actual Ragnarok scenario!
"Jormungandr" was pronounced differently every single time it was said.....
Lol
And misspelled in a Recommendation Banner (without the second R or accents on the letters) while I was watching it!
Best ragnarok version I've ever heard. Great job! Thank you for such a complete telling.
Till God of War
All prophesy and truth to such a future, war of the norse universe
Until a God who lived among them. Kratos

Republic now THAT would wake Everyone up-! What a wonderful thought.😳
Isn't Ragnarök supposed to happen? I mean its not a thing that happened, its a prophecy for the future
@@FufflesTheLion i thought ragnarock already happened and that we are the new age of man, at the end it heavily implied the adam and Eve plot.
Okay I need a Solo movie revolving around Ragnarok.
Thor ragnarok

@@vandarrylhampton3779 OHHHH WELL THATS STILL A LONG WAIT UNFORTUNATELY
I love this channel so much ❤️ thank you for the amazing videos
Stuff about ragnarok is popping up every where ever since Kratos said "prepare yourself"
You seem like a calm and reasonable person. Are you a calm and reasonable person?
For a minute there I couldnt figure out if I had clicked the wrong video and I might be listening to A Game of Thrones theory or explanation video and then I realized, this is where George RR Martin got the idea for the long winter.
Coral Hunt true
Thought world in this myth would forever end but didn't expected that it would eventually end good. Wholesome
What I learn from the vids. Ragnarok only happened cause loki existed 😂
When Loki killed Baldur it set in motion the chain of events. If he didn't do that everything would have been fine. I think.
Ehh Odin and Thor and the rest of the gods were massive dicks Loki just created what they deserved
And the Greek GOW
False, it is urðr. It's not for anyone to change.
Also it didn't happen yet.
Thanks for the video, It really helped put things into Contexed.
Strangely enough, during lunch break at work today, I just happened to be reading the Ragnarok passages in the Prose Edda.
after valhall and Viking, this channel made me clear about gods and their subject...
Ive watched this video 6 times in a week. Thanks to God of war I'm Intrenched in norse mythology
Now I see the biggest inspiration of Tolkien's Silmarillion, from Ainulindale to Dagor Dagorath, they are so similar.
Kratos have a smarter plan he begins with killing the gods who will remain after ragnarok(two sons of thir and baldur) before killing the others.
Only magni died, modi's death is unconfirmedm
@@nancyabsalon9436 It is bro he was already beaten and did take a knife inside his neck then throwed down, It's impossible to survive all of this.
@@NIGHTMARE_KRATOS he's a god man, No ordinary person.
Mythology is something I've grown to love during isolation with covid! Norse, Greek, Roman, Egyptian and even Aztec mythology!
Kratos after realizing 6 gods survived ragnarok: do you crave death is that it?
I think the existence of Kratos changes the outcome of Ragnarok. He's already killed Magni and Modi, and they were supposed to survive.
@@xxedddwr3011 Yes pretty sure Kratos can change prophecy
This is my favorite channel.
What's amazing is that the forces of the gods(einherjar) were far more numerous than one can imagine
During fimbulwinter
Men constantly warred with each other and died in battle
Either dying against each other or packs of wolves while on the hunt
This means there was a surplus of the usual amount of einherjar that the valykries took to Valhalla
More people died fighting than people who died in other ways
Meaning more people formed the army of Valhalla than people who formed the army of hel
Even before fimbulwinter this remained the case
As vikings existed
Yet surtr was still able to no diff all of the gods remaining(presumably even the vanir, since surtr generates all heat in the universe)
As well as all the einherjar
But Surtr still unable to harm Vidar, Vali, Magni, Modi and Njord.
This is far better than the last season of Game of Thrones.
truth, wow, nailed it to the cross like a teddy bear!
I honestly don't get the head of the last season of the show
Anything's better than season 8 of Game of Thrones.
God Of War Ragnarök has released, and with it, my interest in Norse mythology has returned.
Iam a Norse pagan and I find this video beautiful ❤️
For anyone who has been looking for the intro music I finally found it. Its is The Wooden Trail from Deskant. Enjoy

This video gets me excited for the next god of war!
Thanks for the help man I needed a quick rundown for my assignment at school
Great video man!
I love some of the images of the weapons in this.
The antler sword, some of the custom axes, diff designs of Gungnir and Mjolnir and a few others.
Norse Mythology is my fav
Keep it up man
Best channel ever
This was great. Thanks for posting.
The fact that Baldur came back to rule as a god brought tears to my eyes
i love it that you use Tom Hiddleston as the portrait of Loki
This is really helpful thank you I was researching about Ragnarok, to write a novel
Im not sure if you will read this, but if you finish the novel, would you want to let me know. I would love to buy it
I love your channel but how you say jörmungandr kills me😂
Well at least it's better then how people constantly calls the Jotnar "Giants" when they are not. It's the same as refering to Gnomes and Cyclopses. There is nothing similar between them.
@@Lupinemancer87 no it's not the same as calling gnomes cyclopses.
This dude butchers most of the gods name.
Also "aai-si-er"
Dutch Plan der Linde we say asare in swedish or asa-gud
I think some female gods also survived ragnarok, but i am not sure which.
kota mato Freya in some takes survives, and Hel theoretically is invincible in Helheim, where she most likely created the corridor in which she sent Baldr back. These are the only two goddesses that I have found to survive across any accounts.
@@alofaska1241 I thınk fews are survived too lıke some valkyries
I think Thrud survives also.
No only a few minor gods/godeses sadly at least according to the old sagas all the major ones die sadly
Old norse is really hard to translate recomend learning icelandic its not perrfect but its the closest to old west norse that is available and english can not due it justice no mattet how hard you try scollers have tried fore at least a century
5:45 I been looking for this song 🤣 can’t find it
The warriors must've been very considerate to let these painters finish their paintings before continuing the fight.
I’m here after god war .. so many familiar words such as hel heim, mid gard etc, got my interest now in norse methodology... thanks GOW
Raman Kumar me too
Imagine this in the new god of war,Kratos and Atreus fighting side by side against Odin,Thor,And the legions of hel
Chills❤️
The legions of Hel will be in their side.
@@haruyoshida2338 yeah didnt Atreus was named Loki ? Also Jormungander( i butchered it i know ) if he dosent bite his tail means ragnarok is soon to happen that is what i figured out since i saw the serpent in the game
You psychic bro?
Sorry no chills! We don't mix GoW with myth. Just like we dont mix MCU with myth
Really entertaining watch, Hats off to you sir
While I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation - i feel its a great shame that you didem not include the details of the black dragon nithhogg who flies out of the mountains after the end of ragnorak bearing corpses on his wings. I think that is an important detail you should have included because it displayed that while good will never truly die, neither will evil. Both will always exist.
Also neglecting half of the gods' army is shamefu. Half of the fallen warriors were taken by Freya's Valkyries to her realm of Folkvangr to train.
Gamers: all I want this year is Ragnarok

This did not age well
I had to watch this video a million times to under stand everything but it was worth it 👍
Thank you for the video. Imma use this so I can somewhat predict the new GOW
i absolutely love fenrir and their offspring: skoll, the wolf who aims to swallow the sun, and hati, the wolf who aims to swallow the moon, theyre so pretty and awesome!
And symbols for the destruction of Asgard.
Finished GOW this morning after having it since launch. Shelled out for the collectors edition, been watching a lot of these videos this morning. Looking forward to the next game
What's with mythology and dogs or wolves guarding the underworld
Thanks for the 10 likes and thanks to the people who commented helping me fill me me big brain.
Its greek mythology and it's the dog of hades , I don't know the name but it has 3 heads
Because dogs were used as guard dogs back then and still are
Canines are naturally territorial.
Because fenrir son of loki and the giant snake also son of loki and the girl also whis is also daughter of loki were banish in the underworld i think
Cerberus is ur answer
these does put a smile on my face
Me when he said Loki: " *B O Y* "
me when i read this: B R U H
bro the ending music is wow man made me cry
i'm really hyped for GOW Ragnarök's plot
because we know lots of it are gonna change for example both magni and modi (the god of courage, originally, how ironic) are dead and loki's half greek lol
I think loki in one piece ate legendary devil fruit based on Fenrir. The fruit would suit prince of giants. Plus he is captured in chains just like fenrir and Norse loki
Funny how this was recommended 2 days after god of war ragnarok is announced
30 seconds in and THOR the giant Terminator😂. That was GREAT😂
God of War: Ragnarok is gonna be so badass
They should make a movie on this. Came here after watching the God of War Ragnarok Teaser.
