Oops, I am late to the party. Glen has an Uncle who lives very close to the cemetery. He would have welcomed you in his house, treated you well, and shared some fantastic Glen and "Uncle" Boo stories. Boo is who taught Glen how to play. Good folks living in that part of the country! Nice job!

i know their was a claim that he still enjoyed performing, but some if the video I ahve seen ( particularly the one with his where they discuss with the poor man standing there how his medication had made him highly sexed and that he had started to urinate around the house were horrific-no-one does that to someone they love, and to say he had given permission for those segments is laughable, they could have givne the poor man some dignity rather than squeeze every last penny out of him.

Nature Girl Birds are wonderful. I had some ground squirrels that I just loved. They were very friendly and had an incredible whistle sound. I had thought it was an unknown bird until I saw it sitting up and whistling. Another loss of friends, that were around the yard for a couple of years.
I moved tadpoles from drying up puddles in buckets after catching them with a spoon and tiny strainer at the gravel pit. I carried them back to the lake at let them go into beautiful clear water. I had wood frogs, toads,
And green tree frogs in the yard after the matured in the lake. 🐸

Hi Steve. Delight AR is like most rural small towns in the deep South. When you visit it's like going through a time warp. It's common to have a family cemetery in the South. Usually they're on private farmland that were working farms 100 yrs ago. My dad is buried in the Welch Family Cemetery on his parents farm in Edenton, NC. We still own the farm and lease it out to local neighbors. I loved Glenn Campbell; Wichita Lineman is my favorite but I love all his music.

My favorite song is Wichita Lineman also. But I do like most all of his other songs. He sure was a talented guitarist first and foremost, and of course his voice was so smooth. There is no other one like him. It's wonderful that he became a Christian later on in life. On another subject, Steve, I sure liked the fact that you videotaped driving around and looking at the little town and the other Cemetery too. It's so nice to see places like that and all the green grass and trees. It was completely enjoyable to watch your video. I look forward to your videos when they send a notification of new ones. Glen Campbell was a musical prodigy. He was self taught, could play just about any instrument, (including bagpipes). His family were farmers and managed to get by. They didn't electricity. Anywae he was a genius at anything musical and was awarded 6 Grammy's. He also was an actor and was nominated for Golden Globe for True Grit. A major talent. I loved a lot of his stuff, too many to call one a favorite. Nice video Steve. I love those thunderstorms and miss them . You're making good progress on your trip-long drive!

I agree. he was so talented in so many ways. wish I had the time to upload a video each night, but the days are just not long enough to film and drive and edit and upload. but I sure have a lot of good film footage to start uploading once I get home in a couple of weeks. thanks, andy!

Country Boy (You've Got YMour Feel in LA & Galveston were my favorites. When I was 4 years old back in 1968, my mother would put Galveston and other songs of his from the 60's on to play as a lullaby for me and my younger sister to go to sleep. As I grew older I enjoyed his music and still do today.

Hi Steve, thanks for another great blog, I spend most my time in Tenn.heard lot glen Campbell, my oldest brother favorite was Wichita line man. That was a popular song. Glad he chose to be buried in his hometown. My mom family bought land set aside some for burial my grandmothers buried there. Her father side also bought lot land they set aside some to it was called the nelson family resting place. That's where he wanted to be buried, he was army vet. We honored his wishes. Some churches only allow members who pay their membership to be buried in church cemetary..I see lot land being bought houses all around where my mothers family cemetery. It bothers me but land is land you have pay taxes...but again thanks I enjoyed this blog.afa.n.j.
