So glad you showed Freddie Prinze's crypt. I had a huge crush on him and so many of his fans as well as myself were so sad when he died. Love your channel.....
Thanks for watching and for sharing with us, Rose!
I visited corpus Christi two years ago and visited Selenas grave and her memorial on the beach but my phone factory reset so I lost all my pictures
Thank you for taking the time to share where all of our favorite actors actresses and entertainers they will never be forgotten
OMG, that's too bad, but at least you were able to visit. Thanks for sharing, Christina!
Another great walk!! I really liked Chico and the Man..So sad they passed so early..Stay safe..love n hugs!!
Andy Gibb had just turned 30 .He passed 5 days after his 30th birthday and his final resting place is also near Freddie Prince.I have seen your visit to his grave.Thank You.I have mentioned this to some of the Gibb family and they are very grateful.❤
Thanks, Janie, I appreciate you watching and sharing!
I’m only here for the QUEEN OF LATIN MUSIC SELENA
Selena's murder is a true travesty.
My favorite Selena song was “I could fall in love” We were the same age and I remember this tragedy well. She was so sweet and kind. Her voice was amazing. Such God given talent with no vocal lessons. You should check out her disco melody. All these awesome talents taken too soon! Heartbreaking 😞🌹
Steve what a great job and tribute to the young stars that left us too soon! Tks
thanks, jay!
Thank you for that beautiful tribute to Selena
thanks, maria!
Earth angel was a beautiful song. Thanks for the memories.
it sure was. thanks, sandra!
Selena was such a beautiful and talented young woman. She was taken too soon. Freddie Prinze!! I absolutely loved him! It hurt me something terrible when I heard of his death...Looooking gooood!! 💙 May all the young people you have told us about in this wonderfully done video Rest In Peace...you left your mark on this world. Descanse In Paz 🙏✨🌻
Thank you so much for including Jon-Erik Hexum. I run one of his largest fan sites, TenaflyGuy.com and it was my group that put this together and had it installed. I’m so glad others get a chance to see it and pay their respects. 👍
Thanks for doing that and for letting us know, TG! I wish other fan clubs would do the same. There are so many famous and worthy people who have no final resting places or even a cenotaph!
I remember the song earth angel. I like the big bopper,
And buddy Holley. Thanks for the tour steve👋👩🏼⚖️🍺
thanks, lora!
awe Dominique Dunne
Great to see you! I figured you were busy, changing up to keep it all good & viewers can participate or recommend their suggestions! How unfortunate for these talented young people! Here I am 58 and their lives were cut so very short! It was fresh to honor these young souls! God bless them all!
I try to do one video a week. Thanks for watching and commenting, ITAOTU
So sad. A treasury of talent gone way too soon. One wonders what heights they could have reached had they lived a full lifetime. R.I.P. to all of them.
I always look forward to seeing your newest uploads. I think what I love about your videos most is that you include those celebrities who are maybe a little lesser known or their star has faded a little more than others.
That's my favorite part, too. Keeping their memories alive, before some of them fade away. Thanks, Sheri!
Hey Steve! Dreaming of You is one of my favorite songs by Selena! A beautiful voice tragically silenced. R.I.P Selena! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤
Living in Corpus Christi, I appreciate the inclusion of Selena. And, yes, her final resting place definitely receives a lot of visitors. Thank you for the inclusion. This is a great 'theme' to cover.
Been a while......
I've missed you.
Glad you are ok.
Great stuff as always....
You must have missed my vlog last week. I usually do one a week. Thanks for watching, Steven.
I remember Selena. I have a cd with some of her songs. Was a sad day when she was killed. So young.God bless her.🙏🕯
Thank you for sharing, Always enjoy watching your video's
Thanks, Ronald!
Thank You Steve for another Great vlog ! Please keep them coming !
Thanks for contributing and being a part of it, Connie!!
The Graveyard Guy I was Happy to share , if I visit any other places I’ll be sure to get a picture of me with them next time . Thank You Sir for all your time you put into doing all these vlogs it’s appreciated 🌹
Steve, I admire your goodness as a person. That is so obvious and so refreshing.
Thanks so much Lisa! 😊👍
RIP to all in this video 😢 I will always love Selena 💜 She's was so beautiful and sweet to everyone. Also her brother and father didn't like "Dreaming Of You" , but Selena saw something in it and made it a hit. My favorite song from her is Amor Prohibido. Sorry if I spelled anything wrong English isn't my first language Spanish is. Proud Latina 💜 Another of my favorite singers who died in their 20's, Aaliyah 😢 she was the princess of R&B. She had hits with "More Than A Woman", "Rock The Boat", and many others. She unfortunately died in a plane crash in 2001coming back from the Bahamas.
Thanks for sharing this with us, ULA! I hope someone sends me photos or videos from Aaliya's grave. I would love to include her in part 2.
I had such a crush on Freddie Prinze. When I heard he was was shot, I cried, could barely eat.My mother, who was a ragin alcoholic, was even quiet around me.(Thanks mom,RIP)The weirdest thing, I knew the exact moment he passed.I was crying and a weird feeling of numbness came over me.I found out that night, the time it happened was the same time he passed.Gone to soon
It's mysterious how we can pick up on things like this when we are close to or have an affinity for someone. Thanks for sharing this, Magpie!
Yes Earth angel! Iam a baby boomer ! 😉Great vlog! Come spring time I'll be visiting the graveyard s up by me right now we're in a deep freeze n snow! Very interesting today look forward to seeing more of your videos!
Once the snow melts I hope you'll send me some cemetery selfie photos or video clips to share in future vlogs. Thanks, Karoline!
Another great video !!
Love Chico and the man ...great comedy...Im still going through pictures for Hank Williams Sr grave ....until next time
Yes, he was only 29 when he died. If you have pics to send I will including him in part 2. Thanks, Jill!
Thank you, Steve, for another great cemetery tour. Always enjoy your vids!
Thanks, CapnHawk!
Selena was such a popular singer. Plan to visit her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on my next visit to LA.
It's also very popular. There are always lots of people there.
Nice job as usual Steve thank you very much and be safe out there.
Thanks, Alexander!
Thank you again, Steve, for a great video! I watch every one of them, even if I don't comment. Sometimes I am watching on the tv and can't comment.
Thanks, Amanda, I appreciate it! I always watch RUclips videos on TV, too :-)
i agree! with modern technology, if we can get you tube on the tv, i would think that they could come up with something to be able to comment and like!
Thanks for the touring,it's sad that they passed away. And I remember that in94 the singer Kurt Caban passed at age27.And Patsy Cline. And Jim Morrison 27, just thought I'd mention them for you.
Thanks, Lisa. Sadly there have been way too many.
Really enjoyed all your videos love from NC.
Thanks, Kaylin!
John Eric Hexum A Michigan State Alumni (my hometown) also played football at MSU along with my favorite Baseball player Kirk "Gibby" Gibson (1978) season Loved to watch his show it was a very tragic passing way too young
Thanks Steve, very interesting as usual, love your videos, stay safe out there!☮️
thanks, lillian!
I really think its nice of you to include the people that send you their experiences with photos of them visiting different grave sites as well as memorials. I don't see very many people do this on their vlogs. Have a great day and Thank you for being respectful to all the ones that have passed for whatever reason.
I love including photos and videos from viewers and subscribers in my vlogs. It makes them even more personal. Thanks for watching and commenting, Lisa!
A vlog visiting graves of those who died tragically would be a honorable tribute to the victims of famous homicides, accidents, natural disasters, ect...
I agree and I have done some of them. You'll find them if you search my channel. Thanks, Victoria!
Such a beautifully composed video Steve my love. Whenever you loose a loved one its heartbreaking, however for whatever reason they pass away in their 20s is even more painful and the reasons or causes are unexplainable can make it that much more harder to comprehend, i sadly lost my son at just 28. The amount of young stars that died in their 20s is unbelieveable and some died so tragically, some could have been avoided. Thankyou Steve for sharing it with us beautifully done👍
I agree, Mandy. So sorry for your loss, at such a young age, but thanks for sharing the memory of your son with us.
@@TheGraveyardChannel i so look forward to your videos Steve, this may come across as strange but i find graveyards really interesting. Each marker or headstone has its own story to tell, my true interest i have to say are the really old graves. In my small town of Rugeley in the uk, we have quite a lot of graveyards where the stones are sometimes too weathered to read. To me graveyards are simular to reading a book. Keep these brilliant videos coming👍
I agree about the old headstones and graveyards being like books. Thanks for watching and sharing with us, Mandy!
Steve, another great video. I agree with you that my favourite Selena song is ‘Dreaming of You.’ So beautiful. And in this video you went to my other favourite cemetery in LA, Pierce Brothers.
it was so interesting that i'm sure I will be going back. thanks for sharing, kevin!
Selena is huge in TX. She was definitely one taken too soon. Interesting the coincidences here. Young actors, fathers and sons, murders by managers, young singers. Want to talk about coincidences though listen to the stories of Tommy Allsup and Waylon Jennings. They were supposed to be on that plane with Buddy Holly. Tommy's came down to a coin toss. Imagine all we wouldn't have without those two.
I know, Tommy and Waylon are perfect examples of the randomness of luck and timing! Or is it destiny and fate?
@@TheGraveyardChannel You're probably right about it being destiny or fate for those two.
Dion DiMucci (Dion & the Belmonts) - who was on the same tour with Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper - has said in interviews that Buddy Holly offered him a seat on the plane for $36.00 but he turned it down. He said that in 1959, $36.00 was a lot of money and would've paid his parent's rent for a month. He also said that he grew up very poor and was frugal with his money - he just couldn't convince himself to spend it - and that decision saved his life.
Wow, I hadn't hear this. Thanks for sharing this story jtx!
@@TheGraveyardChannel Steve, if you (or anyone else) are interested, Dion has made an hour long video where he tells the entire story. He details his meeting and becoming friends with Buddy Holly, the Winter Tour they were on together, the circumstances and conditions that brought the plane into the picture, why he turned down a seat on that plane, and how it has affected him since.
Thank you friend for another great vlog , can't wait for you to visit Janis Joplins resting place , she was such a talented young woman
I loved Janis, but sadly she was cremated and doesn't have a final resting place. Thanks, Jo!
Oh , thank you for that information , I did not know that
I will never forget Selena! I was still trucking and had delivered a load in Houston on February 24, I was staying in Houston over the weekend waiting for my load and another fellow trucker, plus great friend lived in Houston and his wife had gotten tickets for Selena's concert at the Astrodome. Luck have it, my friend's wife had extra tickets and I was invited to go with them to the concert, because she knew I loved listening to Selena's song and my friend and his wife told me that it would be my early birthday and extreme early Christmas present. The concert was on February 26 and what a outstanding concert it was. Then after the concert, my friend, his wife and myself was escorted backstage and I got to meet Selena, Chris, and Selena's family, plus band members. We were not allowed to take pictures backstage. Selena's father was against any pictures taken. He was a hard man to deal with, according to what I was told by my friends wife.
Then on March 31, I was in Corpus Christi making a delivery and heard the sad news on the radio. My trailer had been unloaded and I was doing paperwork (log book) at the time, while waiting for the load to be taken off my trailer. All I could do was cry and the company receiving man walked out to my truck to see why I had came back in to get the paperwork and pull away from the dock.
My friends wife knew Chris Perez and his family personally; her parents had lived next door to each other in San Antonio during her childhood. My friend and his wife also knew that Selena and myself shared a common ground; are birthdays were the same, just different years.
I have the movie and watch it numerous times during a year.
What great memories you have of her. Thanks, as always, for sharing them with us, Les. I love hearing personal, behind the scenes stories like this. How interesting that you shared the same birthday. I'm sure you really remember her on that day!
wow these were great actors selena i loved
She still had her whole life ahead of her can you just imagine if she would have still been alive today she would’ve of dominated the charts .. And yes Dreaming of you is one my favorites ..
Hi Steve
My name is Thomas, im writing to you from Denmark.
I live in a City named Aalborg, which have 5 cemeteries plus one jewish and one muslim section in the Corner of a Christian cenetery.
In one of the cemeteries, there is a rather large section only with German solidere and refugiers from WW2.
I really enjoying your videos on youtube, Them are so exiting ang life affirming.
Amazing to se the differences in how people are buried ind the USA, compared to how it is done here ind Denmark.
Somre graves are is made the same Way here in Denmark, graves with only a small Stone with a name on.
What amazes me the most is the mosuleums That excist in the USA, Wow. Here only Kings and queens ar buried in something that almost looks like those ind the States 🙂
Best regards Thomas
Looking forward to see more videos from you
Cheers
Hi Thomas, thanks for watching from Denmark and for the comment! Personal mausoleums in the U.S. can be very royal and beautiful. Which is surprising, considering how simple most of our grave stones are.
The day the music died ! Memorial is on my bucket list to see! It's not that far from me in iowa
I'm sure it will be a moving visit.
Yes visit the Surf Ballroom it’s very inspiring and going out to the crash site is nostalgic. From the road it’s maybe 1/4 of a mile walk and don’t be like me and wear thongs because it is in a cornfield. And take water . I’m still glad I went . Hopefully you make it , I’m from Colorado but at the time my oldest daughter was living near Clear Lake .
I love Selena quintanilla perez she's always in my heart favorite song is con tento amor
"Some people are bound to die young. By dying young a person stays young in people's memory. If he burns brightly he dies and his brightness shines for all time."(A.S.) You have just given merit to the quote I selected.
And Karen Carpenter was one of the many who died much too young.
Nice quote and very true. Karen's was one of the first grave sites I drove for hours to visit for this channel. She's still probably my favorite female singer. Thanks for sharing, as always, Michael!
Thanks Steve for sharing this with us ...it surely puts a lump in your throat watching it
Thanks, Martin!
So sad so much talent, just think of all the things they could have achieved, and as always thanks for all your hard work putting these videos together for all of us to enjoy.
Especially sad, since these are just a few of them. Thanks, Paulette!
@@TheGraveyardChannel so so true
Thanks for another wonderful video Steve!
Thanks, Crystal!
@@TheGraveyardChannel : Anytime!
The gun that killed Hexum did have blanks, but most people don't realize that the concussion from a blank can kill you close up as well as a real bullet. Great video Steve.
Thanks Kevin 👍
Thank You again. Love your videos.🌹
Thanks, Jo!

Although all of your videos bring wonderful themes, this video arguably ranks as one of your best. Your incorporation of material from contributors definitely enhances your work. Clearly, you have many viewers who care enough to send photos which you are thoughtful enough to incorporate into your work. Your encyclopedic narrations make for videos that are rarely equaled. Thank you for your great work which only seems to get better with each video. Be well.
Thanks for the kind words, PC. Unfortunately, this video has received some of the lowest views of any recent video I've done. Since it was one of the most difficult and time consuming to produce and edit, I will probably be returning to much more simple videos, in the future, which are more enjoyable for me to do. My channel is definitely still a work in progress, trying to find the right balance between the videos I like doing and the video viewers prefer. :-)
Selena rubbed my tummy when I was pregnant with my son. I live in Texas. My favorite Selena song is " Si Una Vez".
Now that's a wonderful memory for you and your son to have. Thanks for sharing it with us, Linda!
Loved Earth Angle.
I agree with you Steve, I loved Selena’s song “Dreaming of You” 😇🌹🌴♥️
I loved Selina's singing, what a tragedy. That was interesting about Freddie Prinze, all I ever heard was that he committed suicide. Medication induced is a term I'm not familiar with. You always have the most interesting videos. I remember Earth Angel, I hope that doesn't give my age away. LOL
Thanks for sharing Pat :-)
Always great videos. I always tear up when I see Eddies grave.
It is still sad. Thanks, Sonya!
Three years ago, I toured the battlefields and cemeteries of Flanders Fields in Belgium. Hundrreds of thousands of headstones to individuals killed in their teens and twenties in the Great war, and mass German graves containing the remains of tens of thousands killed in action. They are still finding remains every month. There is the Menin Arch in Ypres Belgium that lists the names of most of the 90,000 Allied soldiers who vanished without any graves. It turned out that there were so many names, there was insufficient area on the arch to engrave them all, so another memorial wall with the remaining names was erected at a nearby British military cemetery. Sobering to see.
My son has subscribed to your channel, he loves it! Chris the Shrinerdawg.
That's great. Thanks, Mike!
I love the connections and coincidences! Thanks for all the work you do in documenting these sites and stories.
They are weird. Thanks, Jonna!
In my 74 years the best lesson I have learned is that any day you can look DOWN at the grass is a good day. ;)

Hey buddy. Yet another awesome video. What about country singers such as Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and other greats. Thank you for listening. Looking forward to more of your awesome videos. Thank you
Thanks for the suggestions, Ronald. I'll add them to my list for the future.
Your right about the connections very interesting. The Crow is one of my favourite films. Such a shame as these people had so much to offer. We still have their music and films to remember them by. Thank you and to others for this vlog.

How awesome, I’m so glad u were able to use my photos in this video..Selena is truly missed all over the world

Great video Steve . So packed with information as always . And always good to see my sweet Anton 😥
Thanks, Scott. Sadly, there have been way too many talented people who have died too young, as you well know, from the many you've visited on your channel :-(
I love this video you are awesome !
Thanks, CMK!
The original 4 band members of "the Ramones" are all dead now. Two of them are buried in Los Angeles. You should do a show about them. They have many fans! Thanks! Tony from Texas.
Good idea, ausart. I have vlogged the two at Hollywood Forever. I'm guessing the others are in NY. I'll have to check. Thanks for the idea!
You Should Also Visit Josh Ryan Evan's Grave. He Died In 2002 At The Age Of 20 And Is Burried In The Coloumbarium Of Rememberence. And Also At Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. what an interesting vlog thank you ,
My favorite Selena song is I Could Fall In Love i don't know why but everytime i hear that song i cry it's so beautiful Selena was so beautiful Rest In Paradise Selena
I agree. It's another favorite. Thanks for sharing, Byron.
Byron Benguche' I cry too! It’s so moving and to know she’s gone 😞🌹
You have such a nice speaking voice! You hold my interests !
As a group, I find it amazing how many actors and musicians whose lives end in tragedy and at young age. This is another great video, I love your creativity in grouping similar people together in your videos. I was wondering if you could consider doing a video on actors or musicians who are buried in their costumes. The owner of the radio station I host a show on died a few months ago. He was buried in a vampire costume complete with fake vampire fangs. He as quite the character. At his graveside service we were all told to show up in costumes. What a celebration... I believe Bela Luguosi (sp?) was buried in his Dracula costume. There must be others...
Do you have any pictures of all of you at the funeral dressed up? If so, I would love to share them in a future vlog. What a neat tribute. He obviously had a great sense of humor. Thanks for sharing this and for the idea. I will add it to my list and if I run into enough other stories like this in the future, I'll do a vlog about it. Thanks, Dwight!

Hey!!!! Another great video!!! My fave Selena song is Dreaming of You also, its a very beautiful song, that makes me cry when I hear it... My mom was also a huge Freddie Prinz fan, such a shame that all of these beautiful people died at such a young age, may the all rest in peace.

Otis Redding died at the age of 26 in a plane crash on December 10, 1967.
Thanks, Michael, I will include him in part 2 and give you a shout out!
Four of the five members of The Bar-Kays died on that plane with him. They were all in their late teens or early twenties.
I couldn't find any information about this online. Do you have a source?
@@TheGraveyardChannel Are you referring to the Bar-Kays?
@@TheGraveyardChannel Yes. You can check Wikipedia, or you can go right to otisredding.com
Thank you Steve
I’ve heard Earth Angel many times!! When Selena died i was 15 in 1995.
Another well-done tour of folks who left us too soon, Steve. I have some comments on most of them. I was just starting to learn who Selena was when she was murdered, regrettably. I knew Freddie Prinze, Sr. much better, and was a faithful viewer of his CHICO AND THE MAN in the '70s. Didn't realize his death has now been ruled an accident. Many sources still list it as suicide. On Jon-Erik Hexum, a correction of sorts, anyway, may be in order. As I recall, Hexum was goofing around on the set according to the news accounts at the time, and put the blank-loaded gun to his head before pulling the trigger. For those who don't know much about firearms, a gun loaded with blanks is NOT safe. The firing-charge still has the same force as it would have if loaded with an actual bullet, and so that is what shattered his skull, sadly. Weren't his organ donated? I seem to recall that they were.
The death of Brandon Lee (thank you for the photos of his, ancd Bruce's gravesite btw) seems to have been more of a straightforward accident (if also a sign of poor precautions on the film set where he died). I know theories have circulated ever since it may have been something more, but we can let others debate that.
Dorothy Stratten was a lovely lady, no doubt; I try to never judge, but, presumably, her killer's spiritual energy is inhabiting a different place than her's is now....
Anton Yelchin's tragic death was terribly sad, although I wasn't a huge fan of the attempted J J Abrams "Trek" reboot. The statue is a fine tribute to Anton; I enjoyed his version of FRIGHT NIGHT (2011) more, actually.
I know EARTH ANGEL of course, as well as Eddie Cochran's music; I didn't realize that Jesse
Belvin died so young, somehow; have loved this song. Glad you covered Holly, Valens, and "The Big Bopper", of course. Imagine Don McLean's "Day the Music Died" has helped interest younger people in their music. Anyone here recall that 70s bio-pic of Holly with Gary Busey?
Sorry for the essay here, Steve!
👏 👏 👏 Mr. Steve, you out done yourself this time. This was a wonderful video! You know I'm fascinated with the famous cementries.
