I grew up near deaf in one ear due to an infection (fixed by a tympanoplasty in my teens). A friend is blind from birth, and once when he came to visit, with his guidance, I went an entire day blindfolded out of wanting to experience it for myself. Much respect to Helen Keller, I can't imagine what it must have been like to live with both.

totally weird. The segment in Ephrata, Penn, time marker 42:44, the camera person comes up to the family plot of REEMSNYDER before panning left to the subject of their video. The Reemsnyder's were immigrants from the area of Hamburg Germany. This is the family of my wife's 5th great grandfather! She was quite pleased to to see this. Whoever shot that video, thank you. I played the tuba in my high school's Symphony Orchestra, and during football season, I played the Sousaphone in the half-time marching band. It was such FUN! playing the iconic instrument. I also played it in summer parades. The children asked me questions and wanted to hear it's unique low sounds. I was happy to do it and they could then pick out the sounds from other instruments. Ah, such happy times.

A fascinating edition of Hollywood Graveyard as always thanks Arthur. What is upsetting is there is no gravestone for Fred Gwynne. Fred is iconic on both sides of the pond and worldwide. Its so sad and hopefully it can be rectified. 😢😢😢
