[comment repost] In April 1987 a group of friends and I went to see Wayland Flowers (and Madame) at Studio One Back-lot in West Hollywood. It was his last booked cabaret appearance on the west coast I believe before he died of AIDS complications the next year. One of my friends knew him and we went to Wayland's apartment after the show. My friends were ragtime pianists and we sat in the living room with Wayland bringing out the various puppets and riffing to the music. Then there was a knock on the door. I got up and answered it and it was an older gentleman with a characteristic scarf. It was Charles Pierce. I had no idea who he was (I was only 21). I then found out the next day at work about his career. I had no idea the night before. Now only one of the group and I remain, the rest are part of the ages. I miss the 80s...and my friends, and a little brush with celebrity. Search YT for "The Charles Pierce Show (Uncensored)" to see Charles's talent, and "Madame In Manhattan" for Wayland's. Have a ball witnessing real cabaret skills.
Don't sweat it, Arthur! We're always willing to watch a reupload. My grandmother drowned to death on July 2nd, 2022, so, Naya's death now hits too close to home. I miss my grandmother everyday, she was the pride and joy to so many. My life has been a wreck since she died, but, your videos provide solace for me. Hopefully, my grandmother can hang out with all the legends you've visited over the years.
Back in the early 2000s I worked for WB Television and got the opportunity to work with Fred Willard on a Sitcom. He was so humble and down to earth RIP
Fred “Rerun” Berry was such a funny actor, especially his dance that he always did on “What’s Happening”. When that show was on, I never missed an episode. RIP Fred, you made me laugh so hard.
I use to watch Car 54 Where Are You? I have watched all 6 of Forest Lawn Cemetery episodes. It's a beatiful Cemetery quiet & well maintained with beatiful statuary. Very large. Mr. Dark a well done vid posting. Factual as usual. Thank you 🎉❤.
Thanks for putting together these fascinating programs, Arthur. In case you decide to do another Forest Lawn Hollywood, I would love to see actress Joyce Compton included. She is buried in the Beloved Hope section, lot 1051, space 1.
Arthur you , in my opinion, are the best of all the graveyard remembrance shows. No one and I mean no one is even close to your talent and presentation. Your knowledge of your subjects is uncanny. Thank you Arthur. Oh and your handsome face is a plus too.
The spelling error is forgiven Arthur. I still miss Naya Rivera she died way too young. She will never be forgotten and may she Rest in Peace. Keep doing what you do best Arthur. Your channel is one of my all time favourites.
Thanks for going to John singletons grave. He directed some of my favorite hood movies: Boyz in hood, higher learning, Poetic Justice. I also appreciate the other grave rememberances.
Charles Pierce...glad you included him. I attended his funeral. It's on RUclips, showing us in the White church and at the gravesite. Bea Arthur was his best friend.
I LOVED THIS VIDEO AND THANKS FOR VISITING NAYA RIVERA'S GRAVESITE, SHE WAS A PROTECTIVE MOTHER UNTIL THE VERY END/IT'S HEROIC HOW SHE SAVED HER SON'S LIFE BUT IT'S ALSO SAD THAT SHE COULDN'T SAVE HER OWN/I WOULD LIKE TO ONE DAY VISIT HER GRAVESITE MYSELF TO PAY TRIBUTE!!!!☺
I have just finished binge watching all 87 episodes. Arthur's voice is wonderfully calming to me. Thank you Arthur. Looking forward to your next video!
Repeating myself from yesterday’s uploaded episode, Outstanding! Outstanding! Outstanding! I was listening to something on the radio and saw the notification. Had to stop listening and tune in to Arthur! Rita Shawl: She was on my favorite episode of The Andy Griffith Show. She and 2 other ladies played escaped convicts who kidnap Barney Fife and Floyd the barber. Lots of “tension” in this very adult, yet very funny episode! Charles Pierce: Remember him from 1970s talk show appearances! Buck Henry: Get Smart, The Graduate, Heaven Can Wait and SNL are where I would see him or his name in the credits. Vesta: In an office I worked in over 30 years ago, the women would play that song of hers, “Congratulations!” Boris Sagal: I remember when he died. That was such a freak accident! I knew he was Katey’s father. Christopher Lloyd Dennis: I remember him being shown during live shots outside the Jimmy Kimmel Live studios or on eXtra and Entertainment Tonight that featured him. Brock Peters: Wrongfully accused Tom in To Kill A Mockingbird was his best. Ernie Anderson: For years I wondered whose voice that was introducing ABC shows FOREVER. When ABC did their anniversary show in the 1970s he would be there! Ray Collins: Lieutenant Arthur Tragg. He brought humor to Perry Mason. “Well, fancy seeing you here, Counselor! Then Paul Drake would show up and he would say; “I knew you wouldn’t be far behind” or he would say; “You two are like bookends” or some other quip! Steve Allen & Jayne Meadows: Separately or together they were fixtures on 1960s and 70s television. I miss Steve’s 1960s late night talk show that aired after Carson’s. Funny and serious topics. Nothing like the mindless/talk/gossip shows of today! John Singleton: He directed a lot of television episodes as well. Ralph Bellamy: Best role was one of the much hated Wall Street financial brothers along with Don Ameche in Trading Places. Fred Willard: The “Ed McMahon-esk” sidekick on Fernwood Tonight and he was the dispatcher in Silver Streak who was calm and cool until the crash into Union Station! Fred Berry: He was one of The Lockers dance group. Another stellar installment. Thank you Arthur for the outstanding service you perform in showcasing the people we grew up watching!
I really loved Rerun because I loved the show "Whats Happenin" and Naya Rivera from Glee. All of the people on here were so good at what they did, and I am so glad that we have Hollywood Graveyards so we can see and make sure that everyone is never forgotten. Thank you for this :)
Naya’s death was heartbreaking 💔 I remember it like, it was yesterday 😔. I absolutely loved John Witherspoon he was so funny. John Singleton was phenomenal! Thank you Arthur for these videos ❤️ 🕊
John Singleton also directed MJs video Remember The Time, and I think directed Poetic Justice. May be wrong on that one. That was a huge loss for us. I forgot Vesta passed away, and the Naya tragedy is heartbreaking
Quiet Riot was a big influence of mine and seeing Arthur cover Kevin Dubrow at Pacific View, Randy Rhoads at Mountainview, and now Frankie Banali really put a smile on my face.
I remember it like it was yesterday she drowned saving her son's life when first seen it on the news i could not it believe but there is a video on youtube with her and her son getting out her car to get a boat
It was quick, but I saw grandma, uncle, and dad. We saw them on Friday to put grandpa with them, but even in a flash, it’s nice to see them. Thanks for being as respectful as you are.
Wow, I remember you We had you on as a guest on our late night show After Midnight (1990s or so ) for a Halloween special. You gifted us with miniature wooden coffins as I recall. Great to see you are still going stronger! Still sporting a the Art Deco moustache, I see. Good job. Take care and prosper best wishes
I remembered watching Fred Willard in "Real People," on NBC television. And the "Salem's Lot," mini series in 1979. He was one of my favorites. Mickey Jones was another favorite, I remember watching the Incredible Hulk tv episode, "Ricky," and a few other characters he played in the series.
You called Nayas son a her by accident when he was tellin authorities “they had gone for a swim and her mom disappeared under the water” great video never the less I love watching these videos
Thanks again for you terrific work on these graves of the famous. I especially liked Fred Willard who played two great characters in the last 10 years, Phil's dad on Modern Family and Amy's dad on Everybody Loves Raymond. He was terrific in those roles and in everything he's done. RIP
I for one hope you never change the music. It too has become iconic; congratulations Giuseppe! A pro musician, I appreciate the quality and variety. Viewing them all again.
The entire Hoolywood Graveyard series is amazing. These aren't depressing tours. They are celebriation of people whose names we know and many whose names we don't but we know their faces.

Joel Goldsmith. Some of my most favorite TV series are Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, and the music he composed for these shows are outstanding. Seemed right, as his father, Jerry Goldsmith, composed for another most favorite franchise, Star Trek, most notably The Next Generation and the movies from that series. They were amazing composers, father, and son, alike. I got goosebumbs seeing that headstone. Thanks for including him this time.
Fred Willard was VERY underrated as an actor.... Check out his buffoon announcer character Jerry Hubbard - a real scream. That being said --- this is QUITE the trip down memory lane..... keep up the great work in making this series.
The amount of time, research, and work that goes into these videos is amazing, admirable, and appreciated. I have watched since the very beginning, and always look forward to new videos. What I love most is they are always done with respect to the deceased, even during viewers special. Thanks for your hard work Arthur!
I look forward to these greatly. They are so peaceful I can watch for hours! I love history also so it's fantastic learning about all the lesser known contributors to entertainment and society. Keep up the great work! (Have you done Rudy Vallee's grave yet?). He's in Westbrook, Maine at St. Hyacinth's cemetery. He was Sinatra and Crosby before there was Sinatra and Crosby.
Brock Peters also voiced Darth Vader in NPR's Star Wars radio drama trilogy and appeared in the "Murder On the Rising Star" episode of Battlestar Galactica (1978-79).
It was nice to see Paul Winfield's resting place. Always loved his acting work in the movies mentioned plus smaller roles like as a record producer in the film "Mike's Murder" and "Hustle" with Burt Reynolds.
It's all right just gave me an opportunity to watch a second time just for the heck of it. Thank you for these videos they're very informative and very entertaining
Thank you for your videos, Arthur. Thank you for your hard work, your time and energy and your integrity and compassion, when creating these videos. Your videos are amazing, insightful and are done beautifully.
Thanks for the videos. And I just want to say may God bless the people who get involved and have put head stones and markers on unmarked graves. Many of the great entertainers died with very little money. It’s an ultimate tribute to give there grave site a proper stone. ❤ God Bless.
Wow , I’m so glad you visited the grave of Vesta and mentioned her here, didn’t know anyone knew of her outside of her R&B and Jazz fans , she was one of my favorites and her death was a shock to me, it still hurts. She was making a comeback with a new album when she suddenly died. Rest on in eternal heaven Vesta 💐💐💐💐💐🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🎤🎤🎤
Winfield is also remembered for his narrating the true crime series City Confidential which he did up until his death in over 90 episodes. His unique voice gave a touch of melancholy to the stories, as well as a bit of humor in less serious moments about the cities or places where they occured....
Loved this latest chapter in the series. I can tie a memory to almost everyone in this production. Fred 'Rerun" Berry was one of my favorites. As a fellow audio and video producer, Hats off to the Hollywood Graveyard production team! Great work! Best, Mike
Luckily you managed to fix it relatively quickly. Great video as always! Keep doing what you are doing! Really wants me to go to my local graveyards and see who I can find. - a fan from the Netherlands
Welcome back Mr. Dark! And another highly enjoyable video (of course). Keep making 'em and we'll keep watching 'em. Or just talk about some related stuff here and we'll watch that too. We're here for not just the videos, but you as well. Thanks again for all you do!👍

Perfection, as always. You are a rock star, Arthur! Thanks for letting us tag along with you on these visits. Appreciate your extensive research and respect given to those you visit. Keep up the good work, my friend. Lu Ann
Re-Run passed almost 21 years ago really makes me feel old. As a kid that grew up in the 70s he always was like a friend that made us laugh. RIP
What I like about this channel is the professionalism in the production. The music, narration and respect given to the fallen is commendable.
i agree. very well done.👏👏

Yes,too bad the sound track sucks
I disagree, it looks like he's walking over all the graves, standing on top of them...that's disrespectful, supposed to walk at the top of the headstones, or at the feet of the buried...its courtesy for the resting
I'm happy we were FINALLY Able to meet Fred Willard. I remember him as Swindle from Transformers Animated.
Nayas death was extremely tragic but I'm so glad her son didn't go back into the water trying to get to his mum. Very very sad
I love watching these, because Arthur is so respectful of those that have gone
No he's not
