Correction: Further research seems to indicate that Carole Lombard may not have actually been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The original Medal of Freedom wasn't established until 1945 after Truman took office. President Kennedy established the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1963. There don't seem to be any official records of her having received either such award. Will update if any further information arises...

You should mention that Elizabeth Taylor wanted to be burried close to one of her dearest friends Michael Jackson. They were really close and always there for eachother.
She also purpously put herself somewhere fans could come and visit

Aishia I do! That young man was so talented and I felt an emptiness when learned about his passing. He still had a sweet innocence about him that never went away through the years. He could sing, dance-noone compares- and bring a smile to my face. He didn't spread controversial garbage; his songs were happy and upbeat; and think of this- he never depicted women as trashy sluts. He was just a down to earth man who made the world a better place with his wonderful music. I'm so glad it was during my lifetime he lived; he was too young to go! But I sense he is in a place now where he suffers no more and I believe he's smiling down on us all now because he was a blessing to us all to bring smiles and joy with his unequaled talent! GOD bless his family and children to someday join their father! 😇

thank you for showing us the graves of the once rich and famous people....yes, it is sad to see my fave Michael Jackson, die at the peak of his career.....I do hope that someday, visitors will be able to pay their respects to his gravesite - up close, before the generation forgets who he use to be.....I loved Elvis too and he was my hearthrobe....my sister and I use to compare Cliff richard and Elvis and argue about who's the best ...in our younger days....I am glad to have been through that generation of the 50's to current in the 2000s and lived through those timelines...such beautiful memories and what they have given to us.....God Bless them and may they rest in peace...I do hope one day we will all meet again in another dimension and time! For everyone who wonders that Michael Jackson is that locked away from the public:
Its a graveyard and a Mausoleum. its a place for peace, quiet and for to remember the dead.
Can you imagine about the "Circus" when thousands of fans visit his grave daily? Talking, singing and "dancing"? And how much stuff they would bring, day by day, Teddys, Flowers, Posters etc...? And all the dirt and trash?
Its a grave for a nice man, not a Disneyland.

DrLukeHan not a dumb question at all. The family chose to place him in the gallery that is completely closed off to the public...only they and mausoleum staff are allowed there. There are other celebrities there, as well. I’ d bet it is to keep MJ away from the media in death, as he tried so hard to in life. Unfortunate for us, but at least now he really is at peace.

Elizabeth Taylor's grave is Soo beautiful. I must go visit it next time I'm in LA. Not only was she a wonderful actress but she was an absolutely incredible activist especially with the work that she did with AIDS. the amount of courage it took for her to come and speak about the disease so early on makes me love her even more

well feel much better now hes not dead , he faked his death its very obvious too but not if youre american, you guys think wwf wrestling is real lmfao , ok ill type one more explanation, see if you can find the picture of him on the stretcher before he went into the ambulance, i wont be too surprized if you cant find it , even though they showed the whole world the pic , hes brown and has a fat nose , thats because its cropted from a pic of him from the 80s see if you can find the pic of him in the casket? the pic was cropted from james browns casket pic , they added michaels head hes white again , i saw a video of loads of cops surounding the ambulance when it arrived at the hostpital they shrouded him and walked him into the hostpital , he was also at his funeral dressed as a blonde lady in pink wearing dark glasses introduced as a freind of his , his family kept looking back at her and smiling and you can see they are not very sad, his family know hes alive and well too, he did this is it to make money to live off for the rest of his life hiding , he spent all of his money fighting accusations of child abuse so he needed one last gig ,, this is it,, a dead give away hes a master of disquise too he didnt want anymore of michael jackson he wants to live free like us guess what he is and he will be so so happy and free, his identity is dead michael jackson the king of pop is dead but he is alive under another name trust me

My husband and I visited this cemetery a few years ago. So many famous people were laid to rest here. You can spend all day here searching for grave markers. Fabulous!!!!!
