A special note from one of our viewers: if you look above the crypt of Herminoe Gingold, you'll see an epitaph that reads "Godfather of Graving." That is the crypt of Roger Sinclair, who was one of the first famous grave hunters in Hollywood. Big thanks to Roger for paving the way for Hollywood Graveyard.
Hollywood Graveyard Thank you so much for mentioning Roger. I never had the privilage of meeting him but he was a dear friend to all my graving mentors, the pioneers and literally the writers of the books on celebrity graving.
It is ironic that Roger Sinclair is interred in, arguably, the best cemetery in So. Cal. He is certainly among the best company with whom to spend eternity. As one who can't get enough of Hollywood Graveyard videos, I thank you.
DeathStarDiva i had just finished watching it but missed the last 10 seconds. Tried to go back but got the copyright notification also. Chances are this video will either have to be scrubbed or re-editted, deleting whatever copyright material was used.
Michael's final resting place is so beautiful. It's my first time seeing it. RIP to the greatest entertainer who's ever lived 😢 Thank you for this video.
Grandma Walton and Matt Dillion aka Ellen Corby and James Arness are the two I have find memories of. I saw them weekly on television while I was growing up. I still watch the shows they starred in.
@silvereagle2061 I cried too when Michael's grave was shown, and he and I share the same birthday August 29th, there will never another "king of pop" he will never be forgotten, and he's surely will be missed.
Michael Jackson, is a idol of mine....All he wanted was Love, Peace and Happiness. Thank you for showing us his sarcophagus. Wish it was open to the public.
Very interesting Video. Nice job. It was nice to see the final resting place of James Arnes. I still watch Gunsmoke on Me TV every day. May you Rest In Peace James Arness. Smokey Binion, Jr.
Can’t believe it’s already been 9 years since the King Of Pop was called to heaven..such a great shot you got of his grave. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone ever get that near before, nice “seeing” him so close that❤️ Another great video as always, sir 👍
@Elway Dogg hi! James Arness kept his given name but changed the last name abit. The last name is really spelt, Aurness. His brother Peter wanted his own identity and took there mother's maiden name, Graves. That is how the 2 brothers had different names. I just learned this the other day. Quite interesting I thought.
Seeing Michael's grave was a treat. It's amazing how close you got into it. I can't believe it's been 10 years this year. I'm a big Michael Jackson fan and I'm so glad that you put a splash of him in the middle of this video. It was very unexpected but beautiful. Thank you.
Seriously, I hope I'm not the only viewer who truly appreciates the depth, beauty, and splendor of this video. Also, Arthur Dark's persistence in gaining access to the restricted areas of the Great Mausoleum is greatly appreciated. To see the actual location of stars like Ed Wynn, W. C. Fields and, of course, Michael Jackson is beautiful. Finally, the presentations of the great motion picture musical composers is laudable. Their contributions to the world are just as important as any movie star or actor.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE James Arness!!!!He was such a GREAT ACTOR!!!! My personal opinion, if an actor has won an 'Academy Award,' I think a little statuette inscription should be on their headstone.
What a beautiful mausoleum. Thank you, Mr. Dark , for another interesting and informative video. James Arness is one of my favorite western stars. I still watch Gunsmoke everyday. 😊✌️
Thank you for this video. James Arness is my favorite. It saddens me that I didn't get to meet him before his passing. But I know I will see him along with others from Gunsmoke in Heaven. I look forward to this day. R.I.P
Can you imagine if these gorgeous cemeteries had a sort of fantasy element to them? On clear nights, when it’s peaceful and quiet, the spirits of the stars and others resting there would all appear and talk to one another, visit, and laugh. Composers discussing their music, actors who never got to work together finding friendships in the afterlife, and old costars meeting again to reminisce. None of their real life troubles matter anymore, because where they are is peaceful and beautiful. Everyone can finally and truly be happy.
I kinda like the idea of this one book that I read a long long time ago - Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin - it explores the idea that instead of traditional heaven and hell we all go to a new place called Elsewhere, where people live normal lives- without the pain and illnesses they had in real life - they live normal lives, have normal jobs and go to school - they age backwards and go back to Earth as a baby and repeating the cycle, I'd love to believe that a place like that exists and that we could all one day go there and meet famous people we never had a chance to meet in real life
I can personally vouch for your tales of what the afterlife has to offer I had a near death experience many years ago and I felt at peace with no fear or dread it was for me a beautiful experience completely ,and has left for me no fear of death whatsover,,I wish everybody could experience what I did ,all I can say is live your life ,don't dwell on death there is nothing to fear,
@@MrWereWolfGirl That is a take off on reincarnation. No thanks. I will take the road to Heaven as described in the Bible (John 3:16) and stay there forever.

That great that you were able to get into the great mausoleum. I think Forest lawn must be very impressed with the way you respectfully and professionally present these great programs.
Bobby Womack... Without question one the greatest and underrated songwriters, singers and composers of our time. I loved his style and his deliverance. I always thought he had a rebel type flavor to him. Great musician.
My grandfather had a pub/club/diner and his jukebox was filled with the likes of Bobby Womack, BB King, and Johnnie Taylor. It's cool that my children got to know who Bobby Womack was from his collab with Gorillaz before he transitioned.

Such a great/well produced show, found it yesterday night when searching "hollywood cemetery " -- no shortage or content either. I really like how the stars feature are not in any particular order regarding the periods they were prevalent, you get see how much they each had common even while separated by the years.
Loved this video. Thank you for paying respects to Michael by the way. It was awesome to see his grave up close and personal. My favorite song by Michael is probably Billy Jean. I can't believe it's been 9 years since his passing. Time sure flies by. Also, it was awesome seeing Barbara's niche as well. Love all of Hanna-Barbara's cartoons. Looking forward to your next video!
Always wonderful to watch your videos. Makes me want to go and check out the cemeteries myself. Thanks for all your hard work. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
James Arness was also in a classic horror movie "The Thing" in the 1950"s. He played the part of The Thing, a movie that was remade byJohn Carpenter starring Kurt Russell
They just keep getting better and better. Nice changes in background accompaniments to point at 17:57 .....love the changes. You add this tune in all your videos, and also your pause with the William Boyd tomb to point out that no one should be able to carry a firearm that has no business carrying one.

I really like how the stars feature are not in any particular order regarding the periods they were prevalent, you get see how much they each had common even while separated by the years.
I am amazed at all you showed us. I remember so many here. Thank you for all the work you must put in for us to see.
Another and another and yet another masterful production , Mr. Dark .
Always wonderful to watch your videos. Makes me want to go and check out the cemeteries myself. Thanks for all your hard work. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
Top Cat was my favourite Hanna - Barbera cartoon as a kid . Epic 🤩
James Arness was also in a classic horror movie "The Thing" in the 1950"s. He played the part of The Thing, a movie that was remade byJohn Carpenter starring Kurt Russell
One of my most favorite movies, I think I've seen it a hundred times!
They just keep getting better and better. Nice changes in background accompaniments to point at 17:57 .....love the changes. You add this tune in all your videos, and also your pause with the William Boyd tomb to point out that no one should be able to carry a firearm that has no business carrying one.
Thank you so much I finally get to the Michael Jackson R.I.P you will be greatly missed! I love you always and forever til we meet in paradise ❤️
Amazing! Another excellent video, my friend. Thank you for continuing to allow us to live vicariously through you to visit and honor these legends of music & movies.
I love your videos SO MUCH! Thank you for dedicating your free time to making them and honoring the lives of those who once played our favorite fictional characters! I look forward to visiting the places you’ve mentioned when I come to LA soon. Much love!
