@@hoosierdaddy8002 as a nurse (RN) for about 45 years, I would choose death over having diabetes. People with diabetes usually usually lead lives of chronic illness, discomfort, and feeling that they they are totally imprisoned by their disease- which in reality, they are.

Ahhh, the late, great Esteé Lauder, whose cosmetic company pioneered the long lasting lipsticks with her ALL DAY line.
LONG before Revlon came out with Color Stay lipsticks/ liners, eyeliner, etc, it was All Day in a large variety of colors, including Classic Red, Rose, a Berry like Mauve, etc.
This was in the 80s when both my mother and I LOVED those lipsticks.
My mother also smelled AMAZING in Esteé Lauder's parfum Youth Dew.
    Thank you Mrs Lauder.
And Thank you, viewer for supplying her grave, which brought back wonderful memories of my mother, who sadly, passed unexpectedly in 1991.
    Much Love!💖😘👍🙏

Fun Fact: John Glenn gave my home city of Perth in Australia it’s nickname “the City of Light”. On February 20 in 1962, John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth in the Friendship 7 spacecraft. On this mission, Glenn flew over Perth and the people of Perth turned on their lights to acknowledge his mission. Glenn observed that the city was clearly visible from space and Perth became known worldwide as the ‘City of Light’.

"Play it, Sam. Play As Time Goes By."
Arthur, you overlooked one crucial detail about Audie Murphy. The machine gun he used to hold off the Germans belonged to a tank....that was on fire. Yeah, Audie was that guy. To Hell and Back, that famous movie of his own life that Audie was in was named after a book of poems he wrote.
    That death does wait,
    There's no debate.

Arthur, you did it AGAIN! Respectful, informative, detailed, moving; it was all that AND MORE! Clocking in at 59:52! I had to take a break to recuperate. My memories of those covered:
Maureen O’Hara: Jamaica Inn and The Hunchback of Notre Dame both with Charles Laughton! She did numerous films with John Wayne!
Divine: “Hairspray” was so funny I saw it twice!
Francis Scott Key: You know, there is a stanza of that song that we don’t sing because it’s VERY problematic!
Tallulah Bankhead: Black Widow on Batman is where I first saw her.
    Frank Gorshin: Riddle Me This!
Thaddeus Stevens: Who Knew? What an inscription!
Pearl Bailey: It Don’t Mean A Thing, If It Ain’t Got That Swing!” Married drummer Louie Bellson (hence the headstone)!
Nancy Kulp: That Beverly Hillbillies was appointment television in the 1960s. She ran for political office in the 1980’s and Buddy Ebsen supported her opponent!
Arlene Francis: What’s My Line? Watched the network and syndicated version(s)! She was also in “One, Two, Three” with James Cagney!
Ben E King: Stand By Me. Nice to see that song released again when the movie came out and chart again when Harry & Meghan used it!
Shirley Booth: Another show we watched as a family in the 1960s (Hazel)!
    Joseph Wiseman: Dr. No himself!
    Yogi Berra: The Yogi-isms!
JFK & Jackie O: What can anyone say?
Luthier Vandross: Stop To Love and The Power Of Love.
Medger Evers: Only a coward (among other adjectives) would kill someone the way Medger was killed!
RBG & Thurgood Marahall: Not to get political but I don’t know when the next time we will see justices like them on the bench again!
Joseph Cotton: A Mercury Theater player and SIA Director on It Takes a Thief!
Arthur Ashe: That is a sad shame a tainted blood transfusion did him in!
Johnny Olson: “This is Johnny Olson speaking for The Price Is Right; A Mark Goodson Bill Todman Production!” Goody/Toddy had that man employed for YEARS on ALL their game shows!
Charles Durning: The “side-stepping governor” from The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas!
Hershey/Reese/Heinz: Favorites until I started making healthier choices!
Jackie Cooper: The Champ (1931) and Jackie was a last minute (literally) replacement for Keenan Wynn as Perry White in the Superman movies! Keenan had chest pains at Heathrow and Jackie stepped in!
Hedda Hopper: Mother of William “Paul Drake” Hopper from the 1957-1966 Perry Mason series!
Hank Gathers: BAD MEMORIES! This death made me stop going to college basketball games. I watch now but mute the sound. No more than 10-15% of a game is watched!
    R Lee Ermry: “I Don’t Know But I’ve Been Told. . . .” Nothing more to say!
Lee Marvin: The Dirty Dozen and the one who was sued by Michelle Triolla for “Palimony!”
Joe Louis: I remember when he was a greeter at Vegas hotels. Max Schmeling gave him a stipend to pay bills until Joe died!
Patsy Kline: Her husband had one of my favorite names, “Charley Dick!”
Audie Murphy: War hero and married a costar in his movies. The PTSD is what really messed him up!
Challenger & Discovery: I remember where I was when both accidents happened!

I only heard about the fire at the club that killed Ty Longley a couple of weeks ago, my dad was shown the video in work as part of a fire safety lecture. It was horrific, the whole venue went up in flames so quickly and some of the bouncers near the stage blocked people from using the stage doors to escape. There were so many people trying to get out through the doors at the same time that a lot of them got stuck in a pile and suffocated from the smoke.

I heard about it the same way, but some years ago now. I work for the NHS and it used to be referred to in the Fire Safety face to face training.
