Joe Bonamonster is the Blues Master of this generation. His live performances are epic. "Sloe Gin" live is amazing.

Young man, I appreciate your love for music but please don't take my Lord's Name in vain! After all, He's the One who created music in the first place!

The guy that co-wrote this song was part of My Heart Will Go On from Titanic. Joe said when the guy went to write it that the guy Will Jennings took a $100 out of his pocket and lit his cigar on fire and said this will probably be the last song I'll write because my ship has sailed on. I'm sure Will Jennings made a lot of money from My Heart Will Go On.

Joe is one of the best and only surrounds himself with the best musicians .

I’ve seen him a few times and he is an absolute professional. His band is always stellar. This song is always my highlight

Sometimes it takes God to put the right situation in front of you and for you to act on it. He definitely performs miracles

The original version,or at least the one that I know of by Bonamassa, sounded like a Country & Western song. Thankfully, the song morphed a bit over the years <:) I was knocked over when I saw Bonamassa do that song at the RAH. The intro is called Django. The base on Mountain Time is nuts. I never understood why the pianist was holding that note for so long. It makes no sense to

Maybe on your own, watch the song before this, "Just Got Paid" (for me the concert highlight). He starts out by quoting a song from the pre-Zeppelin 1968 first Jeff Beck Group album "Truth", and half way through the song goes into Led Zeppelin's "Dazed and Confused" solo. I don't think that Jeff Beck album gets as much credit as it deserves for being at the point where heavily amplified blues paved the way for the beginnings of metal. His vocalist was a young Rod Stewart, and the bass player was Ron Wood.

Before this, Anton Fig was the David Letterman show drummer for 29 years.

Love this tune "Mountain Time" and Joe is one of the best to come along over the past 20 years and inviting others into his stage. Check him out in some other joint musical excursions. Some one else mentioned Beth Hart but another was a band called Black Country Communion. The band features Joe and, Jason Bonham the son of John Bonham of led Zeppelins band, Glenn Huges a long time base lead who shared the stage with many including Deep Purple and Trapeze; Derek Sherinian keyboardist who has toured and recorded for Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, and others. A few songs to check out: "The Last Song For My Resting Place"; "Faithless"; "Song of Yesterday"; "Afterglow"; and "The Battle For Hadrian's Wall".

Intro is called India..That dvd is Outstanding! Great backstory....You gotta see him live, no words to explain but so worth it

  • @erickvermeulen9734

Lol, he and his guitar are part of each other. Everything sounds so natural and logical, yet great feeling in it.

  • @barbsmusicman

I have listened to this many times, in different times and seasons and it always brings me to an inner feeling, a remembrance of seasons past, and a hope for the moment and seasons to come. This song is timeless, has no specific genre, and will be joyfully absorbed into the heart of those who can really feel the musical message that flows intricately and flawlessly from the souls of this amazing group of musicians. WELL DONE.

  • @jimreeves1

Glad you liked this. I don't recall JB getting this close to Dave Gilmore's soul on guitar.

  • @SharkeysMachines

Great Reaction ! Thank you !

  • @davidscroggins7728

Thank you ! More Joe please. You won't be disappointed

You can dislocate your "jaw from awe" if you react to a song from THE SAME ROCKPALAST CONCERT called

  • @ShadyLeo66

Joe is unreal musician. And make sure to listen to songs from 2012, 2014, 2016 etc you will not believe his voice over the years and his playing is top notch as always! This concert is what catapulted him into the next phase of his career.

  • @redzone77p

Rojas a great bass player, the band was superb.
