Love this tune and Joe is one of the best to come along over the past 20 years ns inviting others into his stage. Check him out in some other joint musical excursions. One was a band called Black Country Communion. The band features Joe and, Jason Bonham the son of John Bonham of led Zeppelins band, Glenn Huges a long time base lead who shared the stage with many including Deep Purple and Trapeze; Derek Sherinian keyboardist who has toured and recorded for Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, and others. A few songs to check out: "The Last Song For My Resting Place"; "Faithless"; "Song of Yesterday"; "Afterglow"; and "The Battle For Hadrian's Wall".
You've already seen Tina Guo perform with Hans Zimmer - "Time" and "Gladiator" song "Now We Are Free" 4 months ago. She is one of the worlds top Cellist.
Great video! I actually know Tina Guo from both of them, but i loved meeting Joe for the first time. If you want more Tina Guo, you could watch her and her electric cello lead the "Pirates of the Caribbean Medley" from "Hans Zimmer Live in Prague", with a whoooole orchestra behind her and a lot of incredible musicians more. She also played live with Sabaton at Wacken 2019 the song Swedish Pagans. Worth checking too.
First song I ever heard Joe do from a google search of the model of Yamaha I had heard some nice recordings from and wanted one, first item on the search was Joe Woke Up Dreaming at Royal Albert Hall, and I became an instant fan. Tina is monster, and Joe is crazy fast, I could play like that as well if I had two more sets of hands.
I must thank the YT algorithm, for a few years ago it brought me "Black Lung Heartache" from this very concert. I loved the performance so much that I ordered the cd and the dvd. Tina is an amazing cellist, and I have to say, the chemistry between she and Joe has blessed my ears and eyes with some of the best duets I've ever experienced.
WOW. The very beginning had hints of The Flight of the Bumblebee to my ears. And the middle part, just before you paused……she was making her electric cello sound like Jimmy Pages guitar when he played it with a cello bow in Dazed and Confused. Wow, yet again
Hello Andrei & Dominika, I thought I'd drop off another suggestion, if interested. "Carole King - So Far Away (BBC In Concert, Feb 19 1971)" (by the channel: Carole King) --This song was written by Carole King and appeared on her 1971 album called "Tapestry". The album spent 15 consecutive weeks at no.#1 on the US Billboard 200, and it still holds the record for most consecutive weeks at number one by a female solo artist. The Tapestry album was certified platinum 14X by the RIAA in the US.
In the bonus footage from this disc, Joe says that during this song, he mentally had dialed '9' and '1' and was reaching for the other '1' when the song finally ended! Great collaboration, and the whole acoustic show is great. Joe said he was warned off trying to do anything much electric in Carnegie Hall because of the great acoustics of the place. You should check the RUclips video of Joe interviewing Tina on his "Live from Nerdville" series... ruclips.net/video/0e27HWOvEPM/видео.html
