Sloe Gin
Joe Bonamassa
Sloe Gin, sloe Gin
Tryin' to wash away the pain inside
Well I'm sick and I'm all done in
And I'm standing in the rain
And I feel like I'm gonna cry
I'm so damn lonely
And I ain't even high
I'm so damn lonely
And I feel like I'm gonna die
Mayday, mayday I've been shot down
Over the stormy sea
Well I feel that I'm drifting away
Can not seem to get a grip on me
Well. I can't even try
I'm so damn lonely
Ain't even high
I hate to go home alone,
But what else is new?
I'm so damn lonely
I hate to go home alone,
But what else is new?
I'm so damn lonely...
You stand and bleeding people pass me by
No matter if you live
No matter if you die
Sloe Gin, sloe Gin
Tryin' to wash away the pain inside
Well I'm sick and I'm all done in
I'm standing in the rain
And I feel like I'm gonna cry
I'm so damn lonely
Ain't even high
I'm so damn lonely...

My 2nd favorite song off all time after the Alter Bridge one earlier today :D
So excited to see him for the 2nd time this weekend!
They also made a phenomenal live dvd in the Royal Albert Hall, it used to be fully on RUclips. That performance instantly made me a fan.
One of the best blues artists of this decade.
Absolutely agree! And Thankies again 🤘
Joe is the best guitarist and Blues man we have on the entire Planet!!!!
Definitely 🔥
Keyboardist Reese Wynans is a Music Hall of Fame legend. He still tours with Joe. Saw them earlier this year in Chattanooga TN. Red Rocks is amazing and beautiful. I have visited but never have seen a show there. Do more Joe videos!!! Love Smokin' Joe!
Whoop 🙌
OMG! I used to cover this song with a couple guys I played music with in college. I had heard Joe Bonamassa before, but after hearing a band cover him in a nearby (like 1.5 hours away) hole-in-the-wall pizza place, I pretty much wouldn't shut up to my guitarist/singer and drummer about playing this song, and we finally arranged and played it. Also Red Rocks is a venue in Colorado. It's famous because it's a huge amphitheater that was naturally formed in the center of a canyon. A lot of massive acts perform there because it's awesome, and it tends to sell out as there are seats for roughly 10,000 people.
amazing! thankies for sharing ^^
I just saw Joe play this song a week and half ago. This was my 10th JB concert. He is awesome in concert.
Whoop 🙌
Great reaction. Joe was playing professionally at age 12. He is just phenomenal and is a great guy too. down to earth and very knowledgeable about gear and all the greats of blues past. He always pays homage to the forefathers of blues.
Thankies 🙌
This version is good But the guitar solo for royal Albert hall is a face melter and it comes to a real climax at the end.
Awesome 🤩
Agree. That whole concert surpassed Frampton as my GOAT.

More Joe reactions please! His song Woke up dreaming Live at the Beacon Theatre is a great choice! Thanks for this video 👌
thankies so much
Joe is a world class blues rock performer. Now aged 46, been playing since he was 4 and was mentored by BB King, who he toured with aged 12. 3 times Grammy nominee. Gazillions of albums, reputedly the hardest working man in the business. 200 gigs a year. Love him. Definitely more JoeBo please 😎

Just Wowsa! Joe touches our musical souls! Thank you for posting!!
yw
Great reaction! Joe’s superb !
Thank you!! 😁
Blues rock is correct. Joe comes over to the UK quite a lot and has played the Royal Albert Hall more than once. I saw him In Blackpool before he was well known (it must be 15 years ago) and I had a feeling he was going to be big.
Whoop 🙌
The keys player is Reese Wynans from Stevie Ray Vaughan. Drummer is Anton Fig from David Letterman show. That amazing bass player is Michael Rhodes who has since passed away but was one of the highest regarded bass players for country music.
Awesome 🤩
his accustic playing is another level , he is a blues guitarist of the highest .......great review
Thankies 🥰
Thank you more Joe, please. And don't stop it so much, l o l until next time
More to come!
Wonderful version of this song. Seen him live 5 times now. Joe is amazing and some of his collaborations out of this world, especially with Beth Hart and as part of super group Black Country Communion. For something a little different, check out “Down around my place” with John Hiatt live at the Beacon Theatre.
Whoop 🙌
First of all, Great Reaction!!👏👏
I have seen Joe several times and each and every time he brings it to the stage extremely hard for 2 plus hours!! He always surrounds himself with A+ musicians! I was blessed to have seen Reese Wynans, the keyboardist, play with Stevie Ray Vaughan! How incredible it has to be to have played with two guitar legends!!
Red Rocks is definitely a bucket list item!
No problem! Thanks so much! 🥰
Here's another rabbit hole, his drummer is very famous at least here in the US. Anton Fig laid down toe beat of David Letterman's Late show band for years and years.
Whoop 🙌
Live at Royal Albert Hall. (His first visit)
A GOAT LIVE album!!!!
Check it out, guys!!!
Awesome
Piano player is Reese Wynans who originally played with Stevie Raye Vaughan and Double Trouble.
Whoop 🙌
Red Rocks is just outside of Denver Colorado. My daughter lives about half an hour away from it and she and her husband attend concerts there often. The venue is part of a natural rock formation and the acoustics are incredible. Cmbine a great performance with an outdoor venue with stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and you have a wonderful concert experience. I have heard Joe Bonamassa in concert only once and I had to leave early because the music was so loud I was afraid it would damage my hearing. Other friends said they attended his concerts and the volume was fine, so i guess we just had a bad night when we saw him.
Amazing 🤩 Thankies for sharing 🤘
IMHO he is the greatest living guitar player, You haaaave to checcck out some of his work with Beth Hart, Joe was a child prodigy nd was opening for BB King when Joe was only 12. This is very deep rabbit hole everything he plaays is great seen him 4 times and he just came through herew on tour a few weeks back Moooooooore plz
Definitely 🔥🤘🔥
Welcome to Joe B.
I would recommend a really fun track he does "Joe Bonamassa Official - "Going Down" - Live at the Greek Theatre
His band rocks out in that one.
thankies
Glad you checked out Joe Bonamassa 👍
Me too!
Great, fun reaction. The baseball bat bit had me almost on the floor laughing. 😂👍 Joe’s my favourite artist so I love this. Thank you. Try “I’ll play the blues for you” from his “Live at the Greek Theatre” concert next. And if you want something more recent try “The Loyal Kind” from his “Tales of Time” concert.
Actually, this song is originally from someone you might not expect. It’s actually from a 1978 album from Tim Curry, yes that Tim Curry, the actor, who played Frankenfurter in Rocky Horror! And the original song even has the same berserk guitar slide bit that you hear Joe do at 4:15.
Thanks so much! 🤘🔥🤘
How Magnificent WOW oh WOW i rekon i can feel the Boz Scaggs kind of feel but this is up another level to that just amazing thanks for doing this
Thanks for listening with us 🥰
The legendary Red Rocks is here in Denver Colorado I have seen well over 50 shows there it should be on ev bucket list of places to see a show
Whoop 🙌
That smile is priceless! More please
Thankies 🥰
Joe’s collaborations with other vocalists are well worth your time to explore. “I’ll Take Care Of You” with Beth Hart, “Stone Cold” with Jimmy Barnes, “Breaking Up Someone’s Home” with Warren Haynes, and one of my favorites “Strange Fruit” with Beth Hart on a cover of The legendary Billie Holiday. ✌🏼😎🇺🇸
Thankies 🥰
He's got a band of hired assassins

Whoop 🙌
You guys are fun. More Joe please......
Thankies 🥰🤗
Check out Joe singing Angel of Mercy, great guitar work.
Awesome
He opened for BB King at 13! Try some of his collaborations, Beth Hart, Jimmy Barnes, and for something completely different with Tina Guo ; woke up dreaming, I discovered Beth Hart through listening to him, she’s now my favorite singer, love it when people discover someone great, even better that it’s 2 generations, keep it coming!😊
Amazing 🤩
you have a deep rabbit hole coming up Black Country Communion is going to knock you out
Song Of Yesterday Live will bring you back to Classic Rock in The Park
Whoop 🙌
Joe Bonamassa holds the record for the most (25) number one studio and live albums on the Billboard Blues/Rock charts of any artist in history.
Whoop 🙌
👍
For something quite different from Joe, you may want to listen to "Joe Bonamassa & Tina Guo - "Woke Up Dreaming" - Live At Carnegie Hall"
Would be interesting to see your reaction to that tune !
It is a song the Joe referred to as ADD on Redbull and then Tina Guo takes it up a notch!
Whoop 🙌 Thankies
Red Rocks is near Denver in Colorado. I saw Joe Bonamassa play there during the 3 Kings tour. When he did the music of three blues greats. B.B. King, Freddie KIng and Albert King. In this one he did the blues music of Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. Joe is fantastic. His work with Jimmy Barnes is legendary. "Stone Cold", Lazy, etc. Joe has released around 15 solo albums and has also released albums with Black Country Communion (Glen Hughes).
Amazing 🤩
Red Rocks is an open air amphitheater just outside Denver, Colorado. It's an amazing venue. It also houses the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. I've visited there but not yet seen a show there. That's on my bucket list.
Whoop 🙌

Just FYI if you ever have a choice between a Royal Albert Hall performance and anywhere else always go with RAH. There’s something about that place that causes great performances.
Whoop 🙌

NOW, you need to react to one of Joe's heroes, Stevie Ray Vaughan! You must start with his version of Texas Flood live at El Mocambo!!!!! You are not ready!!!

Red Rocks Amphitheater is about 35 miles west of Denver. Only the best play there 🤘
Forgot to add that you can see Denver night lights in some shots looking above the stage
Whoop 🙌
He has sold out Royal Albert Hall several times and Red Rocks several times as well. You should do some Beth Hart with Joe Bonamassa a song called Sinners Prayer.

Here is the original from 1978. Tim Curry of Rocky Horror Picture Show fame but a fantastic actor of screen and stage. Terrible quality on the vid but shows what the original sounded like. Joe is great at finding special older songs to rearrange and cover. ruclips.net/video/NWjEq5yA9mM/видео.htmlsi=m48oln0ZKoXSlU2G
