Cowboy lassoes would-be bike thief in Walmart parking lot

- In a Walmart parking lot in Eagle Point, Oregon, 28-year-old cowboy Robert Borba stopped a would-be bike thief armed with little more than a lasso. Steve Hartman went "On The Road" to meet the the man who roped in a perpetrator.
This is quite literally the most American thing I've ever seen in my life. A cowboy, bike thief, and Walmart.
All that’s missing is an obese woman on a scooter and someone with a gun. That’s basically all there is below the Mason-Dixon Line.

@A Teleskier • "a real man, in every sense." Yes, a true honorable, young man. His parents knew how to bring him up!
Stories like this one should abound to inspire many youngsters to lead a healthy life.
Out of the past? No! There are many cowboys in the world -- right now! They are not obsolete! They are hard working people, providing the steaks all the city folk demand.
@@vickypylant7271 Sorry but you missed my point. Yes, I know cowboys and ranch-hands still exist; we do have cattle farmers here in the UK as well believe it or not. I was referring to his manner and demeanour, his step-up attitude coupled with his quiet modesty afterwards. That's not common anymore.
Nowadays most people either don't step up at all or, if they do, they want selfies and praise so they can boast on social media.
So yes, he did step out of the past.
@@Nemisis2290 And this is an example of why I've deleted all of my social media accounts except this one, which is going shortly. I do spend most of my time outside; in fact, I only saw your comment because I fired this up to look for a DIY video to help me fix something.
The Internet is awash with people using comments sections to pick arguments or start fights. It's just too tiring to keep explaining to people when they take something I or someone else says as 100% literal and then argue with it; I don't have the patience or crayons to keep doing it.
The best course of action, I'm discovering, is delete all my accounts and just look things up anonymously as I need them. That means I cannot comment or converse with people, but Selfish Media is now just too much of a sewer, a swirling mess of narcissistic vitriol spawned by people with low educational levels and equally low intellect.
