@@Psilocybism Sure, but that sort of write-off isn't a tax credit, it will count towards income deductions before taxes. So if he is in the 33% tax bracket, and he donates $60,000 then it's still $40,000 out of pocket. Only $20,000 of it would have gone to taxes otherwise.
Tax writeoffs. It’s a crazy world we live in. However you’re right and I think he did this as a charitable act. I just wish it didn’t have to be the way it is. A lot of corporations only donate small % so they can look good AND not have to pay taxes.
unfortunately , I have come upon those who unlike that man try to look charitable, at the victims expense, name , reputation . I could use prayers for reversal.

The farmer is so kind-hearted. His original intent to donate the car to the women's shelter says enough about him. Wishing him and Tanner's family nothing but health and happiness!
A REAL man and an absolute LEGEND! This is the kind of man you want to look up to. He didn't have a camera crew or an entourage and wasn't trying to promote himself to the public. He was just doing something he felt was right and it's only because others caught in on video that we get to witness this.
He was doing it for tax purposes. He saves more money on taxes than he donated. These are random numbers but imagine you make a 10 million dollars a year, the tax bracket you're in has to pay 40% or 4 million as taxes, Since he donated 60k his taxable income is only 9.4 million which drops him into the 30% tax bracket so he only has to pay 3 million in taxes which means he now pays 1 million dollars less than he would've had to otherwise. Because of his donation he now gets an extra 940 grand. He owns an oil company or something, while it's a nice thing to do, tons of large corporations and companies make similar donations for tax write off purposes, even the shittiest companies you can think of. It was nice of him to give the car away but I can almost guarantee he drives something way nicer and has several display cars just crowding his garage, the car is just a bonus from his tax write off. It's basically tax evasion and you should definitely get mad when large companies are cheaping out and evading taxes, could argue that this guy deserves it but he still basically took a million or so dollars that otherwise could have funded a school or a hospital or something which would be fine if he needed the money but he's rich so...🤷♂ Also, I think he literally has to donate the car otherwise he's just buying something and not making a tax deductible donation. I'm not really sure how that works tho... Otherwise I feel like you could just buy stuff at auctions for a reasonable price and sell the item to get your money back
@@DrakeOola although it does seem your math was spot on, the phrase it doesn't matter cause he's rich kind of defeats the purpose of being able to manipulate money. @@A_Random_IRS_B0T_ Exactly. You only control your own actions and you can only hope to inspire a small group of people around you.
It's basically tax evasion and you should definitely get mad when large companies are cheaping out and evading taxes, could argue that this guy deserves it but he still basically took a million or so dollars that otherwise could have funded a school or a hospital or something which would be fine if he needed the money but he's rich so...🤷♂
Also, I think he literally has to donate the car otherwise he's just buying something and not making a tax deductible donation. I'm not really sure how that works tho... Otherwise I feel like you could just buy stuff at auctions for a reasonable price and sell the item to get your money back
It really was a wonderful thing that man did for the boy. Yeah..it teared me up.

The kindness of some people is overwhelming at times. Imagine a world if we all cared about one another like this.
Instead of imagining, it's within our power, each and every one of us, to protect those who cannot protect themselves and thrive to make our life full of purpose.
The problem with this is that many will just erase our kindness, I mean it only takes 1 person to change everything, 1 act of kindness everyday might tip the scales to peace.
But it will probably be erased by some other people for who knows why or how.
@@A_Random_IRS_B0T_ Exactly. You only control your own actions and you can only hope to inspire a small group of people around you. And let's be real, most overall good people aren't perfect and do bad things sometimes. There is certainly hope to slowly move things in a better direction, but there will always be people on the other end of the spectrum who have no problem taking advantage of others for personal gain. It's good to strive for personal improvement, but there's no point in denying reality. The real world will never be utopia.

@@GudInformation you must be BLM or ANTIFA. you don’t like this country, then get out. If you don’t want to get out, then go to CA and and become your own nation. See how that works out for you.
