      It’s heartbreaking when no one shows up to your child party. It’s happened a lot since one my kids birthdays is the 4th of July. He’s 9 now but every year we tried to throw him a party it was a flop. Now He definitely understands that sharing his bday with his country means sacrificing a typical bday party lol. But we always do something special for him now just as a family.

    Nothing cooler than knowing you raised a good kid.

    • @longnamedude3947
      @longnamedude3947 4 года назад +12

      There is, actually.
      Knowing you raised a good kid, that actively encourages others to be good kids and helps those most in need, even when nothing is said :)
      Autism can be very difficult to cope with even as an adult, as a child it can be almost impossible to cope with, especially like is mentioned in the video about large crowds of people.
      And yet these group of kids brought out the best of themselves to the word, and not just once, but continually, always putting the more defenceless young kids first, that's good parenting all around by all parents of the kids in this story.
      Having the kindness to put others first at all times. It will be great to see how things turn out in a few years time as they grow older, I can see a long term friendship in this video despite what differences you may see on the surface between them (Age, mental ability, etc).

      ish Sadnezz they’re just following a crowd, if you stick up for mentally challenged kids or gay kids you’ll see that the person doing the bullying doesn’t mean it they just want to make it clear that they’re against them to fit in with the crowd. I have a gay friend and me and him are both males and people automatically think just because i support him than i myself have to be gay. It just goes to show that they’re more interested in being accepted than putting other people’s emotions into consideration.

      @P Watson Actually no I was talking with my guidance counselor and there was an autistic first grader talking with him too.And the Guidance counselor tried to introduce me to the first grader and the first grader refused to shake my hand.After a couple of minutes he decided to shake my hand(or so we thought)
      And he said "Okay I'll shake his hand" and when we went in for the handshake he immediately pulled his hand away and palmed me in the nose. It didn't really hurt beings how he was alot younger than me.

    As a person with autism, this brought me to tears i get bullied a lot for having autism, I’m just glad that someone my age was willing to show the kindness in his heart.
    Edit 1 (a year later): Thanks to all of the people who have responded, I am doing much better now! Though I do still have some problems because not many people understand the way I act sometimes or my stimming but I try not to let it get under my skin! besides that, my grades are pretty good, and I’m going to high school next year, and I’ve been planning what I’ve wanted to do for my future career, My mind is Set on Animation, I hope everyone (who has sent me nothing but kind responses) Is doing well right now as well! :]
    Edit 2 (still a year later): I forgot to mention I’m learning Japanese! (you’d be surprised how hard it is to learn greetings)

She graduated in 2019 and her family invited us to her graduation and the graduation party. We took pictures with her and even invited her to our graduation ceremony and party (c/o 2021) we’re still in touch and we love her very much 🥺

    I'm happy these kids showed kindness to this boy. They didn't care if he was autistic, they wanted to be friends with him and that means so much to me. My brother is autistic and I was always worried people would treat him badly or different because of how he was, especially as he was younger when he didn't talk very much. Thankfully we went to a school where people were nice to each other. I'm not as worried as I used to be, (I still have my moments though) he just turned 24 a couple weeks ago and he is very independent and is able to talk to people and has friends he's met.
