Are “Altar Calls” a Good Idea?

When a Christian minister preaches the gospel, there has to be an invitation. But that invitation is a call to repent and believe-not to physically relocate your body at the end of the service.

I think it really depends on the audience you are preaching to. I use both methods with effectiveness, but have generally found an alternative call with further counseling after the service as the better option. I love 9marks but feel like I disagree with him somewhat here.
