Stuff like this, and similar real life cases, is why I can never take exorcism horror movies seriously. There’s something far more disturbing and horrific about the idea of troubled girls being physically abused and killed under the guise of saving their souls by the people who should’ve cared for them than any made up demon ever could be…
It's really quite sad. It's a form of abuse that these people have justified by saying that they're trying to save their souls so their physical bodies don't matter. Literally, they cannot see that what they did was murder. This is why exorcisms were banned by the church. Because churches refused to believe that there was a scientific explanation for a person's behaviors and thus they thought that it was okay for them to do this kind of thing to them. You know, a lot of so-called "possessions" in the history books were eventually proven to be just regular old epilepsy or seizures. This is why the Church no longer has sway over the courts. Because they're biased and will use their bias to harm others.
@@jessicaarmstrong5035 So shocking to think that this kind of thing happened, Thankfully the church has strict rules and dosen't allow exorcisms, only prayers and blessings if they consider real possession (after medical/psych evaluation).
That's why I'm also not a fan of the "evil little girl" trope, or the "evil mental patient" trope, or the "evil disabled person" trope on horror movies or anything like that. It always feels like it's being done through the perspective of power and those in power being made the victims of "difference" or "deviance". I'm not explaining it very well
Certainly, the circulatory system is internal, and that's where the blood belongs. So, internal bleeding means that the blood has leaked from the veins and into body cavities.
@@moderndaymedusa The entire point of the show was that there had been a massive spike in violent crime including murder in the U.S. It's not a happy go lucky time. The violent crime numbers didn't start to go down until 1994. The show continued to portray a society in crisis with many violent crimes despite the decline. Yet some want to look back on the 1980s and early 1990s as a time to return to. Okay.
@@KCKingdomCreateGreatTrekAgain So are you saying that where there are more people there are both more violent criminals and more potential victims? The amount of people matters? But the rates are what we're talking about. And the rates rose and fell both in rural and urban areas.
What's the guy who sent her to the hospital some kind of disabled? He didn't seem to have a full deck. And yet he was the one who understands she needed professional medical help.
It's really quite amazing how people who are mentally disabled have such an inate sense of morality. They may not be able to tell you that 1+1=2 but they certainly know that when someone is injured that they need to go to a hospital. That's why they're trying to get rid of the term "disabled" and want to be called "differently abled". Just because you're not a genius doesn't mean you're not smart about other things.
Correct. He and his roommate both have limited IQ. I know a couple of people like this, who look and sound (at least at first) like anyone else, no “syndrome”. It can be just the luck of the draw, or the result of pregnancy problems like shortage of nutrition via the placenta, or else shortage of oxygen during the birth process. This is how Donald Trump would look and sound without wealthy, long-lived parents - if he had not had the best private education that money can buy since toddlerhood, then 30 years of drilling, training and mentoring in adulthood from his dad, from their “pastor” and from Roy Cohn, plus an endless supply of tailor made suits and a tony, British-influenced accent.
I know this is very serious but reading the opening line “The whole inside of her body was full of blood” Made me go “Good! That’s where it’s supposed to be!”
Blood doesn’t just float around the inside of your body, it flows through your veins and arteries. If blood is just sloshing around your organs then you have internal bleeding and that is very dangerous.
The blood is only meant to be in your circulatory system, not just floating around in your body. If you have blood leaking around your organs then you have internal bleeding and that is dangerous.
🤦♀️ as in she had internal bleeding that had pooled and filled around her organs - areas where blood is not supposed to be. Not that she had blood in her body in general

Good. Always remember kids: STFU and get a lawyer. You are not being questioned because the cops want to ‘help’ you.

Inside the human body? There are many liquids. Water, plasma, blood, acid, bases, etc. Y'all don't wanna know what's inside the human body.
