I tried to “leave” my life 3 weeks later. I know now how truly wrong they were. I hate them too
I was being stalked and attacked several times by the same man. When I called the cops, they asked me what I did to make his so angry. I don't trust the police.

I'm sorry but what about episodes like "Damaged" (Season 4), "Chameleon" (Season 4), "Raw" (Season 7), or "Rage" (Season 6)? These episodes don't even scratch the surface of how good SVU can be.
Raw is my favourite episode because I find researching white supremacy fascinating, and I draw the links between real life white supremacy (like Patrick Purdy's schoolyard massacre).
He's trying to get on the kid's good side. Lots of officers do that when they're trying to get a perp to admit to a crime; they get them comfortable first.
He’s an old man and he’s tryna relate to some extent. You especially can see it in his eyes when trying to relate to younger people, a mix of trying and realizing how silly he probably sounds.
"Downloaded Child" was gut-wrenching. Jenny's whole life was, frankly, the stuff of nightmares. One of my personal favorites is the season 3 episode "Denial" guest starring Martha Plimpton. The dynamics between the daughter, mother, and grandmother had me glued to the screen the whole time.
