What is the secret of these perfomances of Bach's cantatas by Rudolf Lutz and all his precious friends that they move me all the time to tears? Is it passion reached by perfection or is it perfection reached by passion? You name it..
Every performance I hear by the Bachstiftung is superb. Herr Lutz knows how to choose the best vocalists and instrumentalists, all on the highest level. Always a joy to hear these Bach cantatas!
Absolutely sublime, as are all these brilliant performances of the Master's crowning works. The tenor aria is outstanding with its ravishing violin obbligato. Thank you!
It is for your good that I depart; for if I did not depart the comforter would not come to you. Thus, as I am going I will send him to you.
No doubt can disrupt me from listening to your word, Lord. I believe you go away so I might be comforted that I, with the redeemed, will come to the desired harbor. 3. Your Spirit thus will govern me, that I walk upon the proper path; at your departure he indeed comes to me, anxiously I ask: Oh, is he not already here? 4. When, however, yonder the Spirit of truth, does come, he will guide you in full truth. For he will not speak of his own accord, but rather what he hears, this he will speak; and what the future holds, he will proclaim. 5. COMPOSED: April 29, 1725 (Leipzig) for Cantate (4th Sunday after Easter)h gut, daß ich hingehe
The individuality of so many of the chorales astonishes me more than almost anything. Bach created a musical universe, but much of his genius, unlike Mozart, lay in a workman like attitude. This hard labor is to me more evident in the chorales than any of his other work.
It is interesting to see that the Bachstiftung has selected a large Italian instrument with both 8' 4' registers as its usual continuo harpsichord. Nikolaus Harnoncourt commissioned an instrument from the German builder Martin Skowroneck of the same type, and it produced a distinctive kind of continuo sound: clear, plangent, yet sweet, that truly defined the sound of that ensemble for years. I wonder if it was a conscious choice here, too? A wonderful performance here, as usual.
This kantate the text of which is from von Ziegler is intense like the Aria from Kantate 87 Vergib o Vater, unsre Schuld where a contralto voice is dominant
They all play with heart and soul. Old Bach would be completely moved!

Pure Bachian magic signed by Maestro Lutz!
whoa the violin and the tenor duet is divine i get all tears -Mich kann kein Zweifel stören-
That tenor's voice is like melted butter!
Haha so true, couldnt have said it better
Beautiful cantata. Three fantastic arias and dizzying chorus piece

François de St Blanquat (Haiti).
Again, flawless musical form and musicianship wrung from the most profound talent in music history.
I have just returned home from an exhausting road trip. How reviving to sit with this cantata and a mug of hot tea. Thank you, hugely.
Absolutely sublime, as are all these brilliant performances of the Master's crowning works. The tenor aria is outstanding with its ravishing violin obbligato. Thank you!
Plamena Nikitassova is simply the best.
Bach never heard it so well performed as far as I know.
Especially wonderful violin at the tenor aria! Everything else also exquisite!
The final chorus is absolutely both astounding and amazingly beautiful.
thank you so much.
9:40 AMZING! WONDERFUL!!! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤

Bravo! Another superb performance with soloists, choir and orchestra excelling. The JS Bach Foundation sets the benchmark.
And the chorus... every note exposed beautifully!
I love the the chorale. The singers are so clean, so on pitch.
... and we love this kind feedback, thank you very much. 🙏🏻
A wonderful performance of the JS Bach Stifftung, as usual. ☺🎶
You are fantastic! Wonderful!
This is sublime.
❤️Johan Sebastian Bach👏👏👏👏
If scholars are correct, that Bach wrote one of these gems each week for six straight years, well that’s just....frightening.
The individuality of so many of the chorales astonishes me more than almost anything. Bach created a musical universe, but much of his genius, unlike Mozart, lay in a workman like attitude. This hard labor is to me more evident in the chorales than any of his other work.
Wasn't it 3 years? Whatever, more than enough to just listen to over a lifetime ...
bachkirche, and all the musicans needed copies from Bach's original score, and without photocopiers..
I couldnt have produced a single aria after a lifetime if studying nothing else
Wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing. ❤️👍🏻👌👏🎼🎵
This ranks up there as highest on my favorite list. The piece or brilliance of the work to me has to be the Chorus.
Ganz fantastisch - vielen Dank!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wenn aber jener skulle det vara 9.42

Does this music sound as good in the Trogen church as on RUclips?
mozgren why don‘t you come and visit one of our concerts and find our yourself? 😀
