I just realized that the soprano is using Braille to 'read' her music, that's so cool! @Bachstiftung, please tell Ms Sämann that she sang effortlessly!
@@scheepalicious We asked her and she said that she is awake. She is connected to the musicians around her and the conductor. She also mentioned that if you look at the video one more time you might be able to get a feeling for that connection. ;-)
@The MIDI Bach Project I'm a cellist, so I'm well aware of the fact that the 6th suite was meant to be played with E-string...most modern performances are on a traditional 4-string cello and that makes it muuuuch harder!
Tenor manages to sing brilliantly and beautifully all the way through last movement despite wooly mammoth caterpillar resting across the bridge of his nose :)
Bravo Georg!.. I'm strictly anti-SuperArtist (there are so many excellent artists that do not reach notoriety) I am reacting remembering the public's reaction to Scholl
I think in the state in which these people play there is just no way of separating all that the brain does from its motor functions and sensorimotor feedback from the body. Any effort to hold still would stop the flow, the precision, the timing and phrasing. I imagine that it would collapse the impossible 'quantum state' in which they can do these wondrous things.
Merci j. S. Bach
Madame Sämann est magnifique. Bravo.
I was so surprised by the blind woman reading braille with the angelic voice! What a treat to witness! I'm curious about how she reads her music now.
great Oboes.
Strålande spel av cellisten i andra satsen!🎉
9:36 Seeing the braille score of Gerlinde Sämann is an eye opener for those of us who can see
The aria "Der Herr ist mein getreuer Hirt" is hauntingly beautiful. It is Eternal Harmony speaking to us.
SUBLIME !
lovely lovely lovely voices... so pure, clear, precise... I would love to hear a duet with Ms. Sämann and Mr. Poplutz!
Wonderful performance
months ago (edited)I just realized that the soprano is using Braille to 'read' her music. That brings tears to my eyes. Bach would be so happy.

We will. Thank you very much!
@@Bachstiftung I think she's amazing too. But a question: how are cues to begin singing conveyed to her, for example in the chorale?

@@Bachstiftung superb response!
Exquisite indeed music & performances. Unforgettable wish it be to me (am not an outright Bach fan though).
Amen 😇
Ooh 5-stringed cello and bass. Beautiful as always from Bachstiftung!
Hmmm... the bass is a viola da gamba. It has frets and he's holding the bow underhanded. I've never seen one.

Opera ❤❤
Male alto good here. So often I'd just as soon have a woman alto.
Också alten/countertenoren Terry Wey sjunger underbart!🎉
Magnánimo...

Jesus Christ is still alive!
Rudolf Lutz like to improvise between choral verses ...
I was intrigued by the soprano's gaze until I realized she was blind.

I took him for an alt ... similar range to Scholl??
and his voice is lighter... which I consider a plus!!
SDG!
I wish the musicians would limit their body movements. Its distracting.
Specially in baroque music, they seriously depend on those movements to keep unity.
I think in the state in which these people play there is just no way of separating all that the brain does from its motor functions and sensorimotor feedback from the body. I wish yt viewers would stop making distracting and stupid comments like these...
I agree. You said limit, which is correct, and yes, it detracts from the music-making.
@@Twentythousandlps no. it doesn´t!
so sorry, but very distracting those eyebrows...
It's a shame because his voice is lovely lol
@@SteelyPhil37 it is indeed. feel horrible to make a comment like that, but couldn't help myself
@ lol
Good grief what a petty comment. Certainly ego driven and not constructive to the artist.
