I honestly prefer the "HDR" + ABL High mode on my unit.
The "HDR GAME"+ ABL High just causes some highlights to be clipped, losing the fine details, especially on things like neon signs in a rainy night in Tokyo, and light reflecting on wet, grainy concrete footpaths for example.

    • @tftcentral

That combination behaves like peak 1000 modes on other oled monitors so is a viable option. It’s darker than intended for mid grey shades at larger APL, but can reach the 1000 nits peak at least

Is there a way to the display work with the OOTF used for video, because if I have seen this correctly the only option to use the sRGB gammut is by using the sRGB preset, which then disables the Gamma_2.4 option. That means that the Gamma_2.0 videosignal, can't be viewed with the 1.2 OOTF by using the Gamma2.4 or bt.1886 gamma-function, but instead get's a 1.1 OOTF, because of the locked Gamma_2.2 ... a mathematical transform of the color-management output to a 1.8 Gamma could result in a OOTF of 1.2(22222), but this is not officially allowed ... Do you know if there is a way to get a "rec709" display structure with this monitor without an external LUT-box (or ICC-profile) to be able to use this monitor for at least normal editing work? => e.g. Is it possible to map the RGB color-primaries to their corisponding positions with the 6-axis controll of the monitor? and do you know which numbers need to be set to achieve this?
    Best regards, Nico

But just as a question - Isn't it posiible to map the Red, Green and Blue primary channelt to the sRGB primary-point with the 6-axis controll by reducing the max. saturation and rotating the hue to match the sRGB hue values? And by doing so the Temp slider as well as individual RGB controll for ColorTemperature and Green-Magenta conpensation would be still accessable ...

(even though the camera won't show a correct copy of "what can be seen on the screen" due to the very extrem spectral disctribution of modern OLED screens, it can still be used for such a comparison, because it's the same screen with the exact same spectral distribution. we simply adjust the "how much G and B has to be added to the R primarie to get it to the rec709 R-primary" ...
