I was hoping you could do a video, please and thank you on explaining the difference between using the Aphogee two step protein treatment with the balancing moisturizer versus the keratin 2 minute reconstructor. I bought both, and it would be great to know how to use them properly on High Porosity 4C hair 😊
I'm 50 and I still don't know what the meaning of pre-poo plus I cut my hair 6 years and all my hair's doing is breaking and shedding, now the top front is thining i need some good advice please plus i've been taking the same meds for years ago my hair was below my shoulders at one time.🙏
I’m 53 and recently learned what pre-Poo is myself so I get it. Coconut oil, babassu oil & banta oil are the main ones I’ve heard but there could be others. African Pride carries a pre-shampoo product. You apply whichever one to your hair following the product’s directions. The purpose is so that you can properly detangle your hair before you shampoo without causing damage or stress to your hair. It’s an extra step but I notice a difference. Hope this helps.
What is your opinion on natural shampoos like rhassoul clay, shikakai, Zizyphus Cristi and the like? Also, what do you think of the "gentle poo only" movement that seems to give some women super long hair? I personally don't think it works for everyone, but i do wonder why it seems to work for some !
I am a mixed girl so I don't have black girl hair or white girl hair, I have over porous hair so it dries out quickly and breaks easily. I am having a hard time finding products for me; they are either too much or not enough. I have also lost a lot of hair so it's not full anymore...I need help! Any ideas?
Find out if you have hard water. That messed my hair up. Dry, tangled mess. Basic regimen….moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, light leave in conditioner and a lighter oil like jojoba, argan
Hello, fellow mixed girl over here! You want to support your hair in the ways it needs. If it's dry, moisturise it. Tonya has a video on her PMP method that is very helpful. Just do it EVERY time your hair looks dry And also support it with protein treatments. You can do a super simple rice water rinse or egg mask and see how your hair responds to that It's possible your hair needs to become stronger for products to take hold I also have high porosity hair that is fine and 3c, and Camille Rose's pink line works well for me. However i'd advise you to do a porosity test first; Tonya has a video on those as well. Your hair could break due to lack or too much protein/mineral build up. If you have low porosity hair, CR's blue line is more suited for you to give a try. The hard water tip is also great, you could test this with an apple vinegar hair rinse to remove hard water build up. Again, Tonya has a great video and recipe on her channel for these 😊 Hair loss: be sure to address any nutritional deficiency, hormone imbalance, stress levels, etc. Be sure to be gentle with your hair. Be sure your shampoo has no harsh surfactants (sulphates) that dry out your hair. Trim any split scraggly ends. One easy thing that can help is to increase blood flow with daily scalp massages. Really move the skin over the scalp when you do this. Good luck! Hope any of this helps. Hang in there friend ❤. It can take ages but your hair WILL get better with consistent attention and care! I follow as many of Tonya's tips as i can, but don't even do everything. And i started out with heavily damaged hair that wouldn't curl and was super limp and brittle and wouldn't grow past my shoulders. Now it's nearing hip length 😊 If i can do that, you can too ! ❤❤❤
Sorry to hear about your hair loss 😢 When you say everything, do you mean everything?? Because there are a LOT of potential causes. If you do everything right hair care wise, it could very well be a deeper, possibly hormonal issue Please consider getting blood work done and visiting an endocrinologist Best of luck to you ❤
I had a question if Tonya not able to respond, anybody can. With the green tea rinse do I put in a bottle and spray or put it in a bowl or something like what do I do?
Both work. Spray is more targeted though. I concentrate on my scalp. But when I wanted a tea on my strands, pouring it over my head from a jug. I don't think putting the length of your hair into a container with the liquid is not really effective if the product is meant for the scalp
