Astonishingly this worked for me, having tried a number of other fixes. I cleaned the cable without removing the connectors with an alcohol wipe
Well I didn't expect it to work on my daughter's 2015 Macbook Air that stopped picking up the Keyboard and TrackPad on boot up, but I gave it a go and hey presto it worked a treat when I put everything back together. Thank you so much for sharing how you tackled this problem. I hope to get another year out of the mac air so let's see how it goes. All the best!

Thank you! I used deoxit after seeing the corrosion,/oxidation at the trackpad end of the wire. Now it's working great. I just had to figure out the plastic lever on the trackpad connector. My first effort at working on a computer! These are very tiny things like giving an ant a knee operation.

guys, it's not a hardware problem but a software issue
Alt+Comand+R+P reset, turned off Bluetooth, and changed my resolution to normal FIXED!!
No more stuttering as well while scrolling.
How is this exactly you have to turn off your computer and press this keys?

Thanks for the video. I have went to the Apple center they have check with a new cable it won't work either.... Now they said logic board is faulty and ask me to pay 500 dollar to 600 dollar. Keyboard trackpad works fine in option mode. How can i fix it bro. Please help
Hey mate is it a macbook air? And does it work fine when plugging a external keyboard or mouse in? Have you tryed taking the macbook to another repair shop other than apple. As sometimes you will get lazy workers that just want to swap out the logic board, and not diagnose it properly.
@@trentxr8 yes I have tried external keyboard mouse working fine with it. And yes I have tried another shop as well he said I can fix this issue in 100 dollar with 3 months of warranty. But one of my friend said no one can repair apple logic board if he can fix he will fix this temporary it will again stop working after few months.

@@Leo-lh7ts I think my problem occurred because (I think) steam got inside my macbook. It just had to evaporate and it took a couple of days. The strange thing was that it worked if you restart it. Because of this I didnt order anything.
2015 pro didn't have to remove the battery
