Hi Chad, after buying a MacBook Pro from Bay 2015 13 inch. I plugged it in and put all my information on. 8 hours layer, I plugged it in. Alas, no light on the charger. No power, totally dead. After instructions for the seller and going through different methods, like you described. Nothing. I sent it back and my cost to send it. It turned out to be the logic board. It was changed and sent back to me at no charge. It works like new now, with a new battery as well. An amazing seller and very professional. I shows that it can be deeper than a few finger presses and battery discharge. but a good video from you none the less. 2015 and getting 9.5 hours battery life on average.

Worked at step 3. Thanks, however after I reconnected the battery, it would once again not start. Also when It started w/o the battery connected I tried entering my passwork but the keyboard was not working right - not entering all the digits. I had two precvious key board episodes like this, plugged in an external keyboard and after some days or weeks, the keyboard eventually came back to full function. So any further tips on why it sill is not starting with the battery plugged back in, and also on restoring keyboard functioning?

This is a great video and good to know unplugging the battery can work for things - sadly my screen was black for a while after the last step then went to a question mark folder, I’m assuming I need a new drive or board. Thank you
Thanks for leaving a comment Christina! I'm sorry to hear that, but the question mark is usually related to your Disk. Try Disconnecting and re-connecting it from your motherboard. Best and good luck!
Thank you Chaq for posting this!! I have a MacBook Air Retina 2017 - Core i5 and the only thing that worked for me was the last step. Spent all weekend trying to turn it on using the other steps. Step 3 worked. I don't know how or why, but it worked. It was so nice to hear it finally turn back on. I really appreciate it!
Thank you for this video. I managed to fix my daughter's MacBook Air, with step 1 and 2; held the power button for 8 seconds, clicked it again once and ta da, it came on! Thank you 😊 👍🏻
Hello, I use a MacBook air 2013 and none of the steps worked. I have the pull down connector (battery to motherboard plug thingy) and I pulled it out a little, that didn’t work. I pulled it out completely and carried on with the steps and that didn’t work either. Please, do you have any suggestions on what else to try as I’m really pressed for a solution.🙏🏾😭😭
Omg this video is the ultimate life saver!!! Step 1 and it already solved my problem 😭 huge thank you to u!! Awesome!!
2nd step worked like a charm
Thanks man
Saved me a trip to the service centre
Didn’t have the screwdriver but managed to open it with tools (I wouldn’t recommend), now it WORKS and I didn’t believe it would. Amazing, makes me want to become a technician
I normally don’t leave comments, but I can’t thank you enough. The last step really worked for me!!
Lol i held the power button for 8 seconds not expecting anything to happen. It actually made the start up sound, starling me lol it was like magic. Thanks man
Worked at step 3.
I have the similar situation, but min i can get tu turno on eventually with bettery connected, the problem came again when I turn it of, if I use it just putting sleep mode and not turning of the mac work perfect but if I tun of i have to do all the same procces again.
Man the tapping power 3 times did it for me. I was about to throw my MacBook Pro out the window and you saved the day!
OHHH SHITTTT YOURE A GENIUS
Haha! Same, the 3 taps worked for me too
Wasn’t even at that point in the video when I read your comment. Tried it and it worked instantly. Thanks
So close to giving up and sending it in for repair. Finally ordered the screwdrivers and when I unplugged the battery, attached the power cord and opened the laptop…tada! It was already turned on, didn’t even have to push the power button. I was so pleasantly surprised and relieved. I hope others the best of luck!!
My charger light didn’t even go on, and I was sure the issue wasn’t my charger or charging port. But after step 3, both my mac and charging light was back on!
God sent! Literally just fixed my computer. It’s a blessing to learn quick fixes that can save a person hundreds of dollars. Thank you so much 🌸💕 New Subie
I really appreciate the tutorials. I watched your first videos, but I couldn't get the screen to turn on. Luckily, I ended up combining methods from a few videos, and finally... it works! Thank you so much for saving me!
Saved my computer. Step 3 worked amazingly!
Thank you soooo much!!! My MacBook came back to life for using the method #3!!! You’re really a lifesaver 👍🏻
Fantastic! A really long and hard day yesterday but step 3 has really changed my world! Many thanks
Had an unrelated issue, but following the steps made me realize the actual problem. Thanks for uploading!
Battery is defect because rain dripped through the roof onto the Mac. With ultimate step it runs again on the power supply. Great, thank you very much.
The reset option worked for me. Thank you!
Video starts at 1:13 you’re welcome
I rarely comment on RUclips videos but I just wanted to say thank you brother. I had 3 major university assignments not backed up, and my MacBook Pro decided to pack a sad. Was totally panicking but the 2nd to last tip worked! Thought I was totally screwed. Legend! 🙏
Thank you for the kind words brother. Means a lot! Happy to know I could help.
Worked at step 2. Much appreciated!👍🏽
same!
Did u lose all saved files??
@@nickgera9605
No, nothing was lost at all.
It worked just fine by unmounting the cover and disconnecting the battery! Thank you very much!
Just repaired my 2017 MacBook Pro using this video as a guide.
If you live an Australia go to JB Hifi for the XCD precision screwdriver set. It’s the 1.2 screw head - Not the T4.
Thanks so much for the video mate. Saved the day.
Disassembly was slightly different. The back plate was an absolute cn***t to get off, but with another quick clip I found on how to remove the back, I was sweet.
Thanks dude💜🙏..step 3 actually worked for me
I nearly fainted and thought my macbook was gone forever 😂😂
Currently freaking out bc mine won’t turn on
I appreciate the information however wouldn’t it be better for you to go ahead and show us that you were able to power up the Mac completely?
Holy crapoli! The third step worked! 7euros to fix my MacBook instead of buying a new one is amazing! Thanks chaque
The last step worked perfectly thank you very much...
Did u buy the tool ?
You go through all those steps showing great details. Then at the end you never powered up the Mac after reconnecting the battery.
3 years ago video still save my life Today,Thanks I appreciate you

Thank you so much I was so scared it’s my first time doing this and the last method worked for me ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Last option worked for me!!! If I can give this video a thousand likes I will!
Hi
Thank you for this video it's really good, Kindly let me know what do you think after all steps and the Mac book is still not on?
Hi, if you carefully followed all the steps and no fan noise can be heard, this might indicate a hardware component failure that needs to be repaired/replaced.
@@Chaq Thank you!
Omfg thank you I almost got an ass whooping lmao
LOLLLL
Yo what step did u do

Thank you so much, disconnecting the battery and reconnecting fixed my dead Macbook Pro 2011!!!! 💻 Video was clear and concise, and worked for me. Cheers and thanks!!!! 🍾
Hi, thank you for your tutorial. Unfortunately none of the steps worked. There´s only a beeping sound now that stayed after I reconnected the battery. Any thoughts?
Hi, do you at least get to hear the chime sound when trying to turn it on? Also does your fan spin?
@@Chaq Not sure about the fan but every time I plug it in, it starts beeping consistently
@@NadiaMinchella Might be a RAM issue
Thank you so much! Step 3 worked and very grateful for the easy fix and for your informative video!
Thank you so very much 🙏🏼 you saved my husband’s Mac Pro (2011). Step 3 worked for us. Have a great day!
No way😮 If this works I will subscribe straight away. Tried everything on my Mac Book Pro, but didn't tried the battery thing as nobody says nothing about this. I'll keep you updated. It'll be a miracle🎉
Man you are life saver. The first step worked for me ❤️
I’m a 12 year old do you think I can do this I can’t tell my mom or dad they would not be happy
Hi Nuggie, firstly I’m sorry for your macbook! Before, tell me which macbook model do you have? And also, do you have someone older around to assist you while performing the steps?
@@Chaq Mack book air and no I have noone
@@matchafroggie1959 okay, try step 1 and step 2 only, and let me know if it worked! Could you also explain me how your macbook stopped working? Did it fall down or anything like that?
hey there! thank you for the awesome video! the only thing that fixes the macbook was disconnecting the battery and connecting the charger although after i reconnected the battery it won’t turn on anymore. what should i do? does this mean i have to replace the battery?
U R A GENIUS!!!!!!😭😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
IT WORKED!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I was already shopping for a new computer, and I don’t have the money right now!!!
