Your Rapid Red looks great. I have been looking for a Race Red or Green GT500 but the Rapid Red I will look for that too because it looks great, I was thinking of adding an Edge ST in this color.

Ruby Red is what drove me to want Rapid Red on the 2020. I bought two, spec’d the same way. I have since sold this one.

External lock is under the cap next to the driver's door handle. There's a slit on the underside that the key blade fits into to pop the cap off.

Mustang Cobra was last produced in 2004. The 07+ is simply a Shelby GT500... no mention of “Cobra” on the window sticker or title.
My apologies. I meant GT500 . I seen the cobra emblem on the fenders and had it on mind.

@Ghost Ridah AK47 Well said! My thoughts exactly! I'm still undecided about getting this car. A big issue for me is not offering a traditional manual transmission, and no AWD option. This car makes 760hp. However, due to traction issues, you will have a very hard time beating a stock base Nissan GTR (565hp), a stock BMW M5 (600hp), and a stock Merc Benz E63 S (603hp) on the street because these cars offer AWD and can put the power down! No wasted wheel spin or horsepower / torque going up in smoke! If Ford can put an automatic transmission in a car that has traditionally had a manual transmission, then they can also offer an AWD option to get better overall performance.
This car actually puts the power down better than any other Mustang I’ve ever driven.
@@ShelbyFlyer Couldn't agree more! just picked one up a couple weeks ago. Has no problem putting the power down unless you're launching from a dig; even then it does a decent job🤟🏽

I would have thought they routed the heater hose up top like that to put the hottest things they could towards the top, heat rises and that car will heatsoak itself to death in the summers in texas just like a 03 cobra or any other gt500...beautiful car is it gonna get a chiller killer? ;D
Have you experienced the leather seats on the GT500? I am a big fan of heated and cooled so I would like the “base model” over the recaro or CFTP as funny as that would sound. If you have experienced both let me know what you think. I found one of each for sale and may sit in them.
I built a GT500 on ford’s website but of course that all gets put to a stop with dealer allocations and market adjustments.
I have Danny. A friend has base seats. I spent a day driving his car. I like the look and feel of the Recaros, especially when at the track. The base seats are nicer for long road trips and better for people that are heavier (read: wide girth). I ordered two 2020 GT500s and got the Recaros in both. I’m happy with them. I take my CFTP to the track... Recaros are a MUST at the track!

BTW, my parents had a flight school as I grew up. We had 5 Cessna 150s and a Cessna 310Q. That’s really cool you are a pilot, and I enjoyed your story on staying calm when they cracked your transmission pan. Keep up the good content. Man I’d take that rain tray off ASAP to get that vent going and getting as much heat as possible out… it’s too hot in Texas
I sold this car a year and a half ago to get a CFTP. I pulled the rain tray off the CFTP when it was new and haven’t used it since. I race that car.

Review on the Shelby GT500 out there. But I got a couple questions #1 is there a breaking period you gotta wait before full power like a certain mileage ? Or as soon as you get it out of dealer mode and get it to the right temperature it’s ready to roll #2 was at the beginning of the video you was showing the trunk and mention the fuel filter ? What was that
Thanks Dylan! There are 2 levels of break-in... 100 miles before going extended WOT and 1000 miles before taking it to the track. I personally kept RPMs below 5k during the 1st 100 miles as well. The fuel thing was a funnel that you stick in the filler neck to open the valve if you are using a gas can to fill the tank.

I own a variety of Mustangs. In my collection, I have a Whippled 2011 GT500 and a Cobra R. If I could only keep 2 of my Stangs, it would be my 2020 CFTP and my 2000 Cobra R. The new 500 is ridiculous! Check out the video on my channel of my stock CFTP vs. a stock 2013 GT500 and this battle was straight line stuff only. You are going to love the new beast!
I’m having trouble with my active exhaust on my 2020 Shelby, I get a message saying active exhaust not available.

Body panels line up reasonably well?
I had a fender that was rubbing on the hood. My PPF shop loosened and adjusted the fender. Other than that, I haven’t had fitment issues, but I see people talking about issues online. The 2020 GT500 is a helluva car!

On the seats, can you manually raise it? That's a deal breaker for me due to my short torso lol...
My old base model (this car) had fully functional electric seats. My current CFTP has manual seats. The CFTP driver seat manually raises. The passenger seat does not.
The shifting is insane, maybe I missed it in the hundreds of time I watch this video, lol, when you are in my mode setting what do you keep your steering and shocks modes at around town having fun?

This was my base model. I now have a CFTP. My Mode is set to everything sport except suspension, which is set to normal.
Quick ? Does your shift light work in the Heads Up Display? I am not able to get my light HUD working on my 2020.
Rock Blockers are bad. The rocks will bounce off the foam & then will nail your paint. I learned the hard way on my old 18 GT350R.

I’m planning on a new toy next year, I’m thinking this or a gt350. I sold my 2013 viper last year due to covid.
Coming from a Viper, I recommend the 500 over the 350. The power difference between the 350 & 500 is substantial!

Set your nav on your center display and go! I never use it… I use Waze.

Thanks! I use a really old Cobra detector that still works. There are plenty of newer options. I do recommend the Waze app though!
