Ngl I wasn’t super keen on bayonetta but the moment i saw the first scene of her killing angels in increasingly bizarre ways all the while serving every look possible while “fly me to the moon” plays in the background i was SAT i was OBSESSED.
As someone who is a fan of and have played all Beyonetta and Devil May Cry games multiple times over, I was so excited to see the initial joy and amazement over Jahara experiencing this for the first time.
I always felt like Bayonetta looked like a fashion designer's concept art that came to life. Mari Shimazaki, her designer, has a blog post somewhere where she details how she did it.

It reached into Inferno, wrapped itself around a dragon-shaped major demon and _yoinked_ it into the world, where her hair kept it leashed and under her control. When she no longer needed it, she sent it back and released it.

So Bayonetta was designed by Maki Shimizaki, she based Bayonetta on singer and songwriter Angela Aki, especially her face, glasses and wickedly long legs. Angela's father is Japanese and her mother Italian-American. Angela does not dress like that though, she rejected all the attempts to mold her image into the over sexualized stuff most J-pop stars are and does a lot of concerts in jeans and flannel. As she wrote and sang theme for Final Fantasy XII, "Kiss Me Good-Bye" at Nobuo Uematsu's request she had the pull to get it put into her contract. She sings in both English and Japanese, her US debut album was called "These Words' (Which I recommend giving a listen, it just wasn't what the studio's wanted so got little promotion) before trying the Japanese music scene where sh found more success. While her own songs do well she's more well known internationally for translated covers, most notably a Japanese cover of Radiohead's 'Creep'.

I'm very mixed about this game. I love the concepts of angels/demons and witches/sages, but the lore reduces the number of characters we get, and Bayonetta's fanserbice came before all.
Everytime someone discovers the mother of slays that is Bayonetta my lifespan gets extended
