Came for the weight loss story, stayed for the calming demeanor and eloquent speaking. Happy for you Robert. 💪
Glad you enjoyed it
I agree totally. You put it in a nutshell. I loved it too.
His voice is so calming
@@everything_robert Me too! I'm so happy for you!
Just eat carnivore. No seed oils sugar carbs oxalates pestozides taloid and pharma products
Never ever take the clot shot
I really appreciated how not-overstimulating this was.
Thanks glad you liked it

Me, too. He doesn't mince words. That is nice to watch.
That's what she said
this man just straight up passing knowledge which he shares from his own life experiences to improve your health. No BS. Thank you sir!
Your welcome. Thanks for watching.
Yes that's what I liked also.
I love that you included the brands and why you chose them. Well done on the weight loss!
Thanks, hope it helped.
Yes! I’m so grateful
I’ve probably watched 50 of these types of videos in the last month on different ways people eat, “what I eat in a day“, “how I lost 50 pounds in 4 months”, what to eat when you’re over 50. You get the idea. This was by far the best video out of all of them. No fluff, no weird foods, no chaos or overwhelm. Even if people don’t end up eating the exact same thing you do, and they should probably eat according to what their body needs, this video gives really good guidelines. Really appreciate you sharing where you got each of the foods. Thank you.
Thanks, I watched a ton of these types of videos too. I tried to not do all the things that were annoying about those videos.
Thank you.
I've always hated asking people how they lost weight because the first thing they tell me is they stop drinking soda and they stop eating sugar and I don't do either of those things
It can be frustrating. Might need to change 1 thing, for instance bump up protein a bit. Try that for a couple of weeks and see what happens. Small changes that work for your body.
Try sparkling water, like San Pellegrino. I quit soda 10 years ago and using sparkling water is still a great help. Just cutting back on soda can make a huge difference. Here's to your good health!
Look up carnivore diet. Dr. Shawn baker or Dr. Anthony Chaffee or the carnivore doctor etc
It is probably different for everybody. The big thing for me was reducing grain based carbs, especially if the meal also contained meat. So two eggs and fruit and yoghurt instead of toast. One low carb tortilla with a ton of salad and beans rather than two white tortillas. Or meat and veggies but no rice and potatoes or very small portions rather than half the plate. I also about 3 times a week make my lunch a little later and skip the evening meal altogether and go to bed early. I am often not hungry in the evening anyhow since I started eating more fiber.
Just eat less. Dont listen to all these other fools. You can loose weight by eating pizza all day as long as you eat less calories than you need. But dont do the pizza diet, you wont be healthy.
"I missed it, but I got over it" Words to live by.
Succinct and powerful! Replace the “it” with whatever/whomever necessary 😊
I really like your style and delivery, you stay on topic and it's not full of filler. The secret to your success I believe is keeping it simple and personalizing your nutritionist's advice with things you enjoy eating.
Yes a personalized plan is best. Do what works for you. No need to follow what ever the diet fad is. Just eat in moderation and eat whole food, unprocessed foods.
Yep... staying on topic is what I prefer as well. When I click on a video if the videographer starts a bunch of blather that's off topic, I click off of the video. I don't have time for nonsense.
Great job Robert. I’m proud of you man and I don’t even know you.
Thanks alot
I like the minimalist idea at the end of the video. I'm trying to scale down my whole life and focus on the things that matter.
Give it a try, it can be fun. Just take your time with it, no need to rush in and get rid of everything today.
I really loved downsizing being a woman we love pretty thing like earrings, bracelets , necklace, hairpins , belts….. I got rid of everything but 10 of everything I don’t have more than 10 tops more than 10 pairs of pants. I don’t go crazy on the colors. I keep them neutral, but I buy colorful scarves, etc. got rid of most of my coffee cups, wine, glasses, Tupperware, and appliances that took up too much space…. Again, I love it.
New sub today. I'm 76, lost 182 pounds from 400 to 218, eating half good half carbs. Never in my life able to sty on diet. Always was in 300's. Starting to eat 1 big salad for supper, no snacks, have lost hunger feeling. Saggy skin because of age, but feeling great! Love your content Robert! I'm heading to 148. Started April 2022. Wanted to go slow. Bless you...
Congratulations! That's a huge accomplishment. It's never too late to start being healthy.
@@everything_robert Thank you for the compliment. You are a very nice person. You show and talk about each item. I like that. I am going to be buying Kirkland peanut butter because you showed and talked about it. A BIG thanks!
@@dianalynn8781almond butter so much tastier
Buy a no sugar brand!
Try carnivore tho if u hit a plateau now that ur getting closer to goal
Getting this wgt off absolutely blows! But it’s no use complaining, the only thing that works is keto/carni with IF and extended fasts weekly (48hrs)
Fasting ... sometimes longer fasts are needed. Will pull back the skin in to your body.
@@Mrclean431 Your skin replaces itself every few months. Numerous videos say that over a period of years excess skin will be recycled by the body, and eventually you will see less and less loose skin, maybe by 1% per month, provided you continue to eat plenty of protein. My own experience is that I've lost 55 pounds and still need to lose at least that much more to reach my ideal weight on a mostly meat diet, which doesn't feel like a diet. It's just how I eat now. I do eat OMAD.
Adding a sprinkle of cinnamon to your peanut butter sandwich adds a sweet taste without adding sugar.😊
Good idea, I have only been adding it to my yogurt when I eat vanilla yogurt.
@@everything_robert Ooo good idea.😊Now, I'm going to try to add it to other things to see if it works. Thanks.
It also keeps blood glucose low
I like Teddie peanut butter with flax seeds
I like adding frozen berries to a small bowl of PB for Peanut butter and jelly in a bowl.
Eating the same every day can be a good answer as you don't think about what can I eat ? all the time. Went from Diabetic to not diabetic with no medication and eating fresh low sugar foods.
Congratulations
Thanks for sharing your story and Weightloss journey Robert. Congratulations on your weightloss. I've stopped drinking soda and rarely have it during special occasions or parties. I rarely eat fast food and have been cooking more healthy meals at home. I'm working on losing 40 lbs by the end of this year.
Congrats, that's a great plan you have. Try adding in a daily walk. Watch some videos on walking 10,000 steps a day. Start with walking for how ever long you can. Work your way up to 1 hour a day every day. If you miss a day don't give up just start again the next day, no problem. After you get to 1 hour of walking start to increase your speed. So keep walking for 1 hour a day but walk a little farther in that 1 hour time frame.
@@nejo4664 eggs & eggwhites….to fill up….add meat, veg.
Asparagus is great baked on 400 degrees for 25 minutes
Thanks, I will have to try that.
I agree. Veggies of any kind are so flavorful when oven roasted. A little olive oil and your fave spices .. yum!
I prefer asparagus drizzled with olive oil, sea salt and cracked pepper. Then put in the broiler for about 5 minutes.
Wow - you have some kind of willpower! Total respect for your achievement 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks, willpower helped at 1st but wont take you forever. Now that I have learned so much I dont need willpower I can just reply on my knowledge. Its been 2 years since I had a soda and I'm still eating healthy every day.
When you remove refined carbs and sugar, and fill up on good fats and proteins, you don’t have to rely on willpower. You feel full and satiated and you don’t increase your insulin, which makes you want to eat again.
Thanks for not doing gourmet complicated looking meals and just keeping it simple and real! Too many unrealistic 'what i ate to lose weight' videos out there!
Thank you for this honest, comprehensive report of your weight loss journey!
Apricate it, thanks.
Dude the collagen in the chobani yogurt is such a great tip! I've been using the vital proteins in my coffee but have had a hard time finding ways to get a second scoop during the day. Thanks!
No problem, glad I could help
I put whey protein in my low fat Greek yogurt.
10,000 steps = 4.73 miles every day

Ive been doing this way of eating since Jan 2024 low carb IF 16/8 currently down 51kg this is the real deal. No fast fix
Congratulations
That sausage veggie meal looks delicious!!!
It is!
You look great…as my dietician friend told me 30 years ago…people need to rethink what that drink! ( Gatorade is bad, too & so many people thinks it’s healthy)
I totally agree. Tons of sugar, artificial flavors and artificial colors, no thanks.
They are finding that Gatorade contains a dye that may cause cancer!
I am so proud of you
I appreciate it, thanks
We eat a lot of the same things. It makes me feel like I’m on the right track. Thank you so much for sharing!
I love how you are promoting no sugar and seed oil! 🎉
I feel like it has helped me
Seed oil is fine. Layne Norton talks about it.
@@Phil_529 maybe seed oil is not fine for everyone though. We are all on our own journey.
It's empty calories though when you're trying to lose weight. Same with sugar. Same with processed flour.. I do think carbs are fine, especially fruit or legumes with lots of fiber. Carbs help fuel workouts and fiber helps fill you up longer and keep things running smoothly. I really only use olive oil when I want the flavor like drizzled lightly on top of a red lentil soup.@@Phil_529
@@everything_robert did you ever fall off with sugar n bread 🍞. How long did it take to get up to 10k steps?
The American diet is ULTRA PROCESSED. We should all try eating more foods without a label that states it’s nutritional content.
You encouraged me to stop stalling and get on with it.
I like the way you talk. It's interesting and soothing. I'm going to listen to more. I'm trying to get back on track with good health practices. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks. Good luck with getting back on track, you can do it. Get started today, something small. You don't need to have the perfect game plan for every thing to get started. Go for a short walk, then tomorrow for another walk. Just slowly build up how long you can walk each day, over time you will be able to go longer and longer. No need to rush it right now and go all out. Just ramp into it and take your time and enjoy your small victories each day. The key is to be consistent every day and they days will add up to months then years.

congratulations on succeeding to do something most of us struggle with. Your real success is not the weight loss but the ability to make healthy food choices while educating yourself and keeping it exciting. Wishing you all the best on your wonderful journey to health.
I agree the real win for me was learning about nutrition and taking control of my health
I cook using fresh ingredients, I eat healthy. I never drink soda, always water and tea. No caffeine either. I have MS so I can’t really exercise much. I’m 148 pounds at 5’3” and feel like sludge. It’s also so much easier for guys to lose weight.
Guys can skip a meal and drop 10 pounds. We can't.
This is an amazing video.
Just to the point. With an excelent storytelling. Really professional video edition.
And most important, packed with excelent information.
Keep doing videos man!!
Thanks, I watch too much youtube and hate when the don't get to the point. I'm a photographer so I used those skills in the video, I don't really have any video experience but I think it turned out nice. I will hopefully have time for a new video update soon.
I have the same amount of weight to lose this is so helpful
Me, too. Thank you, Robert!
You got this! Get started today. You don't have to have all the answers the the perfect game plan to get started.
you can do it
I’m 63 and vegan for 8 years. I will say this. Around age 50 is when most people start experiencing hormonal changes and a slower metabolism. So I would recommend starting to eliminate animal products from the diet. If not, a person may find that they are eating the way they have when they were younger, but still gaining weight. By the time one is 60, it is extremely difficult to lose weight.
Great video Robert. Thank you. Very helpful and informative.
Glad it helped
Well done!
I also found that eating pretty much the same things every day, and at around the same times, helped me to lose weight too. It sure made life AND calorie counting a lot simpler (and I used a scale so that I knew exactly how much a 100g of chicken was, or 30g of cheese, etc).
I'd load everything up with as many veggies as possible (they helped me feel full faster), and made sure to have adequate protein with every meal (it keeps your metabolism from slowing down, and helps you feel full longer).
And I made sure to always have the ingredients on hand for my quick, ready to make meal plan so that I wouldn't just start eating whatever I could get my hands on when I was hungry (and probably eat too much by doing so).
I also cut back A LOT on carbs (although I always had some carbs every day, mostly just a slice or two of very coarse bread with lots of seeds and whole grains, to help keep my innards moving properly - I'd initially tried to go almost no-carb and things were NOT good in that department).
It also helped that I didn't keep hardly anything in the cupboards that could really throw me off my meal plan and/or let me eat a ton of calories in a very short time.
But if I had a terrible craving that I just couldn't shake, and it lasted for more than a few days and was on my mind CONSTANTLY, I would allow myself to buy just the smallest possible portion of it that I could find (I never put any food on the absolute "can't have" list). But then I'd also forego eating something else that day in order to try and balance out the extra calories from the treat (it didn't always break exactly even of course, but I tried to not to go WAY over by eating all my regular meals PLUS a high calorie treat). One treat I did allow on a more frequent basis and in a small portion size (and without foregoing one of my regular meals) was Chapman's Frozen Yogurt. It comes in a variety of flavors and is virtually identical to ice cream but with WAY fewer calories and sugar, and more protein!!
And I took up walking (and plan to add resistance training/weight lifting soon).
And then of course once you've lost weight, the most important part is to keep eating (and exercising) pretty much the same way (i.e. do NOT go back to eating like you did before) so that you don't gain it all back!!!
Oh, and thanks for the guacamole tip, I didn't know it could be frozen!
Wow great tips for everyone here, thanks.
I love the simplicity - you got me when you gave up bad oils - what a fantastic idea and I did not know that about Siete - it helps a lot that you named brands - think I’ll dive in ❤ thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to film this, Robert! I’ve been looking for something sustainable to lose weight and this is definitely doable! 🤗
Good luck you can do this. Start walking everyday and keep learning about nutrition. It takes time but just get started today, you don't need to know everything before you begin.
Thanks for sharing! This is surprisingly uncomplicated. There is so much info online, I find myself lost in all the different plans. But this is very doable. I can do this.
You can do it. I agree there is a ton of info and it can be overwhelming. Just get started right now. You don't need to know everything and have the perfect game plan, just get started you can learn on the way. Start walking every day, walk for as long as you can every single day. when you are able to walk 1 hour start increasing your speed. I would walk 1 hour each day and to increase the difficulty I would just walk faster. Figure out how many calories you need a day using a TDE calculator, use the sedentary lifestyle option. Then track your calories and eat a little less than the TDE says you need. Learning about nutrition will help you stick with healthy eating, after I learned there is no way I would go back to eating what I use to. So to recap start today, walk daily, eat less, learn about nutrition.
Thank you for laying out your weight loss success to all of us without asking us to pay for the information. Congratulations on your weight loss success.
I appreciate the way you speak on this video. It’s straight to the point without fillers.
Thanks, those videos that spend 5 minutes rambling and never getting to the point drive me crazy too
Thank you for your common sense approach to seeing your physician, getting a physical, labs, establishing a baseline and then seeing a nutritionist. Really great and your daily approach is fantastic. I tend to need structure and follow the same meals instead of having all of these choices. That's where I get messed up. You have given me incentive to just do it. Thank you so much. Great job on your wellness journey and thanks for sharing it. I actually love unsweetened Greek yogurt. I love the creamiest and add garlic powder and veggies to it. Baby Cucumbers, radishes, green pepper, scallions...mix...delicious.
Thanks, I hope you get started today. No need to have all the answers and the perfect game plan to just get started.

Siete has chips made from corn and some from cassava, they are cooked in avacado oil. Just look at the ingredients list on the bag and look for a chip that has a small list. The list of ingredients in Doritos is massive.

I really liked your video! It makes sense to work a meal plan around things you like to eat. I think Boulder is the brand of chips I bought a few weeks ago at my local health food store. They were cooked in avocado oil. Small bag and kinda pricy but super crunchy and I was able to limit myself to a serving bc of how expensive they are!
I rarely eat out, cook pretty healthy food for myself but portions are my main problem, and so is exercising. Thanks for the motivation to do better!!
Sometimes boulder is on sale at sprouts, check the weekly ad. You can find big bags of it at Costco sometimes and Sam's club. Just make sure to read the ingredients on the back to make sure you are getting the right one.
congratulations on making these changes, my guy! i’m changing my diet to heal my body from bad habits, and i can feel a difference. it is easier to fight my depression and cravings.

You limit your food way too much. I lost the same amount of weight in the same time frame. I lost 130 pounds years back. Gained it back after mom's death, now I'm down 110. Almost where I was. But the health of choosing types of oil is way too excessive. Just limit bad carbs and fats. All you got to do. Get enough protein to be full, fast when you can. Save your calories when needed. You can eat bread. Can do low carb wraps, egg white crust, or low flour mixed with yogurt. But if you happy with your diet, stick with it. I couldn't do your diet. Sounds heartbreaking haha. I eat pizza, tacos, cakes pies. Whatever I want. I just make them low calorie big volume high protein
