To be honest, after all the "too energised and hyped up" ppl on youtube that try to be as intense, loud and annoying as possible... your channel feels like a fresh breath of air. You're real, relaxing to watch and on top of that your videos are both funny and educational. Love it. Keep it up man! 🩵
the thing you mentioned about the meals at the end of the video! The way I fixed that issue for myself is by eating small things throughout the day. Instead of one big meal, I would eat like 5 small ones. What happens is that after your blood sugar is so low for so long, eating a meal makes it go up dramatically and then you get a big crash right after. The way to prevent it is to make sure you're not too low on your blood sugar for too long. If you eat small snacks then you also will still get the productivity of how you feel on an empty stomach.
Unless you're a nutritionist, dietician or biochemist specialising in human diet, don't out give questionable advice about something you don't understand. Eating one meal and fasting IS actually better than having five small ones. while insulin in famous for keeping blood sugar low, we all also have glucagon, a hormone responsible for preventing our blood sugar from getting to low by releasing glycogen (stored sugars) that we all have in our bodies. If you want to eat five times a day you are welcome to it but digestion is a process that takes hours and the more often you eat the more often your body will be working on digestion, our bodies need a break too. Eating on an empty stomach after less time or more time will not make the insulin spike bigger. Spikes are caused by carbohydrates and most people think they need carbs for energy but they eat too much, often without adding sufficient fibre of fats to achieve balance. It also helps to eat fibre first then proteins and fats and carbs last where possible. several studies have shown the order in which we eat foods in a meal effects how we digest it. Snacking is ok if you are snacking on savoury high fibre snacks such as smoked almonds. The best way to feel good is to maintain a steady blood sugar level and this IS NOT achieved by eating lots of small meals. Fibre first, carbs last and doing a short amount of excercise after a meal (10-20 mins) which forces our muscle to uptake glucose and lessen the spike; acetic acid is a drink or salad dressing can also help slow down gastric processing of sugars. Always speak to a registered nutirionist when considering dietary changes or if seeking dietary advice and don't do random things people suggest online. Few actually understand the advice they are giving out.

Yes, definitely. You can easily do one meal a day and feel great after eating, you just have to eat normal stuff and not the junkiest junkfood I have ever seen in my life.
yes, with less or no carbs in your OMAD ( a big junk of meat) you won't feel the post meal coma quite as much But there could be a different problem where your digestive system can't stomach a lot of liquid rendered fat and makes you terribly sick. To combat that just keep the temperature below the rendering point of the fat. (dont make it well done, make it rare at like 50°C)

To make the best tzatziki, here is the recipe. For a kilo of yogurt you need one cucumber grated 4-6 cloves of garlic, salt, pepper, vinegar and olive oil. Grate the cucumber and add salt to it, leave it for 5-10 mins to release the juices that way you don't have to squeeze much, and it makes the tzatziki less watery. Put the cucumber in the yogurt add pepper, the garlic (I prefer it minced but grated is OK too) and almost equal amounts of olive oil and vinegar the tzatziki should be mildly peppery and garlicky (I overdo it sometimes). Stir it intensely with a fork and let it rest for at least 1 hour for the flavours to combine (better to leave it overnight).
Being sleepy after eating may be a sign of your glucose spiking, which is not good on your insulin and hormones, maybe check with your doctor and do the blood test, but not only the glucose one, it may come up normal. Do the insulin levels before and after eating+ after 2 hours have passed, to see how it fluctuates. You can curb glucose spikes by eating in this order: 1. veggies/fiber 2. Proteins 3. Dessert (i.e. starches and sugar). Don't eat your carbs without protein and fiber. Also, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar diluted in a cup of water before meals will help too. Anyone who's interested, look up glucose goddess.
@kbrown3787 it's not that low carb. If he's already insulin resistant a big portion of food with moderate amount of simple carbohydrates can still spike the glucose and cause sleepiness.
For your Chicago Style pizza, to avoid having your sauce char, drizzle a layer of olive oil on top of the sauce. To make it bigger, literally just add even more sauce and cheese. Then, to help the pie stay together, you can layer another very thin sheet of dough between the sauce and cheese.
that sushi cucumber baguette looks reverse amazing ngl. also if you eat a crazy heavy meal try drinking a double espresso as desert and a shot of water to cleanse the pallet. or just go full italian mode and commit to the noon/afternoon nap (biphasic sleep)

You really encouraged me to cook some stuff even if I don't have all the right ingredients, sure it isn't always the best but hey it's mine and it's better than ordering all the time or going to the store to look for yet another youtuber ingredient that rarely exists in my country
Late to the party, but for the deep-dish/casserole: Pre-bake your pizza crust a bit. Or heat up the pan beforehand, either way. Just need to get some more heat in there since it's double layered with food on top, and double layered with metal and ceramic on bottom. Not sure how well the pizzastone works when it doesn't make direct contact with the dough, but hey, maybe it helps?
I have been OMAD for 3 years & it's amazing! you just have to be MUCH more cautious about what you eat. & making sure that what you eat is far more based on being nutritious. avoiding sugars & cheap filling foods..
hey @FutureCanoe, about the fasting, what to eat right after breaking fast. Needs to be meat, eggs, veggies that kind of stuff. When I break fast with carbs (bread, croissants) or cheesy stuff it puts me directly in a food lethargy. Still worth it #croissantIsLife, but yeah, it wrecks me for a few hours

P.s. taking a walk after a meal helps massively too
this diet is very low sugar/carb. insulin shouldn’t be spiking.
@kbrown3787 it's not that low carb. If he's already insulin resistant a big portion of food with moderate amount of simple carbohydrates can still spike the glucose and cause sleepiness.
From just making videos for your mom's friend, to being known and loved enough to get sponsors. Way to go man ❤❤
8:47 i got that same phone stand, so clutch
For your Chicago Style pizza, to avoid having your sauce char, drizzle a layer of olive oil on top of the sauce. To make it bigger, literally just add even more sauce and cheese. Then, to help the pie stay together, you can layer another very thin sheet of dough between the sauce and cheese.
2:45 best CHEESEPULL in the channel😂😂😂
that sushi cucumber baguette looks reverse amazing ngl. also if you eat a crazy heavy meal try drinking a double espresso as desert and a shot of water to cleanse the pallet. or just go full italian mode and commit to the noon/afternoon nap (biphasic sleep)
Bro summon us Filipinos with this audio alone 2:32

Bro just posting here to say thank you. You really encouraged me to cook some stuff even if I don't have all the right ingredients, sure it isn't always the best but hey it's mine and it's better than ordering all the time or going to the store to look for yet another youtuber ingredient that rarely exists in my country

1:04 classic "yoursister'ssauce"
Late to the party, but for the deep-dish/casserole: Pre-bake your pizza crust a bit. Or heat up the pan beforehand, either way. Just need to get some more heat in there since it's double layered with food on top, and double layered with metal and ceramic on bottom. Not sure how well the pizzastone works when it doesn't make direct contact with the dough, but hey, maybe it helps?
im convinced dude lives near chernobly
Ive been on the omad diet for over a year and its worked realy well for me i recommend giving it a go if you wanna cut some fat
What happened to the chicken strip/noodle ?
I'm high on believing it was probably disgusting
I'm usually all about the lazy pre-shredded cheese, but if you want a cheese pull you gotta grate it fresh.
I love FutureCanoe for risking He's showing us exactly what not to do when cooking🎉🎉🎉
I have been OMAD for 3 years & it's amazing!
you just have to be MUCH more cautious about what you eat. & making sure that what you eat is far more based on being nutritious.
avoiding sugars & cheap filling foods..
“Your sister’s sauce”??? 🤨🤨 is it just me who heard that 1:05
I heard it too 😂😂
Knowledge is a process of piling up facts; wisdom lies in their simplification.
I honestly think the cucumber roll looks really good, very proud of your assembling skills!!
I really do enjoy joy watching you cook
FUTURE CANOE DROPPED A VIDEOOOOOOOOO
In separateness lies the world's great misery, in compassion lies the world's true strength.
The food doesn’t look that radioactive anymore . The chicken is still radioactive tho -
. Ngl the end result looks good
"In story format" I heard that Mr. Ballen ref. Awesome!
Those chicken noodles must have REALLY turned out awful if he wasn't even able to show them in one of _his_ videos
hey @FutureCanoe, about the fasting, what to eat right after breaking fast. Needs to be meat, eggs, veggies that kind of stuff. When I break fast with carbs (bread, croissants) or cheesy stuff it puts me directly in a food lethargy. Still worth it #croissantIsLife, but yeah, it wrecks me for a few hours
anyone else see the face on his slice at 3:13?
Omg! I did too! 😂
