Great video Anthony! I'm going to share this around a bit. Cheers!
That would be awesome, thank you!
This is a super great upgrade! As if the pump fails you can instantly diagnose it.
Ya I saw when Z1 came out with it I knew I had to have it. I run one on my project truck and it helps a lot.
just got my 350z! i made a playlist of all my favorite Z videos of yours wish me luck!!!
That's awesome to hear! Hope they help you!
This is a must have! I've had this since early spring and its used strictly a service port since I already have guage and injector cleaning kits. I had a hard starting problem and setting up the guages was a real pain in the ass since the fuel pump is located near the seat framing and there is NO service port. A lot people are really going to appreciate this vid!
Do you run the gauge, or just when you need to check the system?
@@AnthonyJ350I have a schrader valve on the port for when I need to check the pressure or run injector cleaner.
Thanks for more z content :) enjoying the vids.
Glad you're liking it!
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
Thanks for watching!
Another amazing video 👏🏻 as you know I’m building an n/a still. I have the kinetix v+ plenum. Should I also get a 5/16” plenum spacer or no? Also is that z1 port for dry nitrous applications?
I would leave the kinetix or put the factory top with the 5/16th. You can try adding the spacer but I haven't seen anyone do that combination yet. I believe dry setup unless you run a y-adapter and feed additional fuel in as well.
Just saw this. Another great video G!
I was looking to get one as going to start diagnosing my car (starting to get some leaning out at WOT).
Plus handy to have for future monitoring.
One year on, how is the gauge holding up from the mileage?
Car doesn't see too much mileage honestly, but it has been perfectly fine. Haven't made any adjustments, and no leaks. Gauge always operates as well.
I installed mine today and it's right at 50 PSI. 06 G35 6MT. The adapter has its pros and cons without the spacer of course. But overall a great guage to check your fuel pressure on the fly. I tried post a pic but no option.
That's awesome! Post a picture on Instagram and tag me!
I did this mod last year. I purchased mine during black Friday. Z1 Motorsports were running some good specials on a lot of their products. If you can wait to get this product and others from Z1 just wait until Black Friday.
Nice! How do you like the gauge so far?
These should be mandatory on every vehicle manufactured.
Stay gold.
Ya it would be nice to be provided with more info from the manufacturer.
Things that make you go hmm 😒 ! Help, guidance & information 😪n my 2006 roadster Z car preforming Timing & Cam chain replacement 😀
I would consult the Nissan service manual for a procedure like that.
@@AnthonyJ350 I hear ya, on this! The issue as I understand it to be on this is by the time you catch the audible time chain rattle it's game over ! Based upon metallic impregnated fragments through oil circulation that travel past the microns of the filtering system destination points 👉 any given engine bearings! In essence by the significant sounds of the timing chain its already much too late. I've had one indication of this distinctive sound for a period lasting 3 to 7 seconds. The mechanics here in Nashville one in particular goes by the gold ✨️ standardized 200,000 miles & dispute my opinion that this failure has arrived this case is going nowhere 😉 I have no option to work on it at my complex I'm 64 years old & would if I could & can't & so I won't ! I'm in a real fix figuratively & literally 🙃 now you know my story 😒.
I tried putting on a universal gauge, but the vent was like half a turn shy to the top on the VQ housing. Had to order gauge from Z1. Tried to save $, but I ended up paying more. Guess it's intentional.
Thanks for sharing your experience
@@AnthonyJ350 I get 42psi. Isn't 53 to 63 right range? Fuel pump issue? Or could old injectors be the culprit? Lastly, noticed a sound at the damper when you turn switch. Is it normal? Thx!!
@@ericstern1754 Pressure is before the injectors. I'd have the pump checked out
This is a must have bro where can I get this same unit you have
Z1 Motorsports has it
Okay bro thanks a lot
@@josephdavis4627 You're welcome 🙂
Wait so what does it mean if when you put the key to the on position the gauge moves up then back down to 0?
You're not maintaining fuel pressure
@@AnthonyJ350 new fuel pump time huh?
What range should the pressure be at idle?
Seems to be just above 50psi
I can't find the part that you installed. please send me the link. thanks

Doesnt a stock 04 350z have a service port to check fuel pressure with a gauge?
I don't know. Did you check yours?
Nono my car..my friends...i assume it have but maybe no?
@@shelby50411 It would probably look like how the one in this video looks. Unless 2004 is specific, and that's why you singled out that year?
Looks cool but personally I don't need it for a stock car I plan to keep stock
Ya you don't want it on a stock car, it won't fit well. I would look into the RJM Performance clutch pedal and the Z1 rear sub frame collars though. Trust me, you won't regret those parts.
what is the number of the pressure that brings norm
I believe its 51-55 psi at idle.
I have code p0001 on 350z, is it fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator?
Not sure
Lol I just order this from z1 and then I saw your video.
It's a cool piece to have. Definitely help with diagnostics
****Stock upper plenum without spacer you WILL have clearance issues and it will not fit safely. I was the first person to try to use it on a 100% stock motor with a fuel issue that I was diagnosing.
Yup, we discuss the clearance issue in the video
Good video, should always remove the gauge after set up as it'll go out of calibration from daily use.
What psi does the VQ35 at WOT?
I would have to put a camera under the hood to see. I talked to Z1, they said this gauge is durable enough for daily use
Wered you get the adaptor
Z1 Motorsports
Where do buy this fuel gauge for 06 g35
It's available at @Z1Motorsports website
@@AnthonyJ350 Thank you and great video . Do you have a vid on 02 sensor and Evap sensor . I got error code PO443 for my 2006 infinity G35.
how is gauge holding ?
No problems so far!
I am having weird slight misfire. I’m running at 48.5 ish do you think I’m having an issue at the pump?
Service manual says approximately 51 psi so I’m not sure if I’m within spec
How old are the camshaft and crank position sensors?
@@AnthonyJ350 brand new all of them, spark plugs, coilpacks, PCV valve
Jdm motor with 180 compression and good leak down
@@jacobgoyeau Are the sensors Hitachi?
Works for g35
Thanks for sharing!
We’re do i buy it
@Z1Motorsports
The Guage says to pull out the pin after installation.
Which part of the video are you referring to?
@@AnthonyJ350 their's a pin at the top of the guage. On the side of the pin it says pull pin after installation.
@@darrelltuttle8298 Do you have the install guide link that says this?
@@darrelltuttle8298 Here's Z1's video. Pin is still in it ruclips.net/video/lCZtxxZuiZ0/видео.html
@@AnthonyJ350 I understand that but I was wondering when do you pull it and what happens when you pull it. This the first gauge I've installed on my G.
I was doing mines and the pipe was rotten
Did you order a new fuel rail?
First
