Bishop Donal is an incredible hero of the faith. He has given me much support remember meeting him doing the beds on lough Derg, he heard my confession. Such a man of faith.

I really enjoyed so much of this! Thank you for sharing it! I respectfully disagree with you about homeschooling. "Socializing" is the loudest protest against people like me who home educate, as if the children in the brick-and-mortar classroom who interact with their 20ish other classmates and ONE adult all day, over and over, can compare to my children who have to speak to the librarian, the music teacher, the co-op teachers, the old folks we visit in the nursing home, and many, many children we interact with weekly. I see and acknowledge the point that we all need to be able to interact with and live well around people who differ from us and them. However, I believe we should be equipping to do just that while their brains and hearts are developing in the early years without also sending them into the dragon's den at the same time.

Tony and Sheena really enjoyed the talk, very ordinary holy bishop Dermot, relaxing to listen to, I've also noticed that about Derry people there spirituality often touched me over the years.

Loved this interview. Bishop Donal is so inspiring, a humble soul and a man after the Fathers heart. We're truly blessed to have him shepherd the flock here in the Derry diocese. Praise God.🙏🙌
Loved Tonys vulnerability and wisdom as he shared his discomfort with being comfortable and Sheenas hunger to go deeper with spiritual direction is awesome 😊

I was disappointed to hear you criticizing homeschooling. Thankfully you caught yourselves and backed off a bit. A reminder that in the United States, public schools are not Catholic. The public school system in the America is very poor and "socializing" with this group can be very challenging and downright dangerous. I found it ironic that you were commenting on crimes being committed by people under 17 years old yet these are the same people that supposedly we need to socialize with in an effort to avoid the dangers of homeschooling. Just doesn't make any sense. The Catholic schools in America are far too expensive for most people to afford and they aren't even very Catholic at the end of the day. Keep up the good work that you do in Ireland! But please be respectful of homeschooling!

Is it not the 'mother' who's most influential in passing on the faith? Someone known to me refuses to sing "Faith of our Fathers". Claims it's the mother's influence.
