Is it just me or is anyone else noticing the large amount of people who are turning to Jesus? I'm one of those people. I'm 51 and I've finally figured out that I need Jesus. My Saviour chipped away at the wall I'd built around myself and I am in awe of his patience while doing so. Thank you Jesus!

As a cradle Catholic I learned that from the modeling of both my parents the very first thing they did when they woke up. That's good; really, I mean that. But I think father's suggestion was to be more childlike and less theological to start the day. If you could see Jesus in your room when you first get up (and not completely surprised, like it was usual to see Him), what would you say? I've been down the theological approach for a long time myself, but I had surgery for a brain tumor in June. Spent a couple weeks between the hospital and a rehab facility, and initially had a hard time even remembering how simple prayers go (actually had to concentrate at times to remember the next line of the Our Father, etc.). Fortunately both facilities had EWTN, so even on the day of surgery, I still was able to be led in my daily rosary. And it was there I began to see that I probably needed to be more contemplative (as in relational), even if it meant being less meditative.

Amen!!! I do the same all day long talking to the Lord. I saved at 16 years and drifted away from prayer and studying. Of course, I returned in my 20s. I can not explain just how much the Lord has blessed me. I come down with cancer at 42 years old. I was told it would come back. If it did, the likehood of my life would be 3 months. It did not come back for 22 years. Now it come back 2 years ago. But, I go every 3 months, and if the doctor sees a tumor, we cut it out ASAP. The Lord bless me again. I will have you to my prayer list. Keep the faith.

Every morning I say something like ''Good morning Lord. Thank you for seeing me safely through the night and allowing me to live to see another day''. I say similar at night and mention what I am grateful for such as food in my fridge, a bed to sleep in, air conditioning to keep me cool, air to breathe, no health issues, a car to drive. There are a lot of things that we take for granted that we don't realise how fortunate we are to have in our lives. While you are laying there on your comfortable bed, there is someone else laying on the street. You have to be grateful for things like that. I wanted to add that reading some if His word and listening to Him as we also pray. He heals us with his word we are told to meditate on his word daily. I take index cards and put some scriptures where I will see them throughout the day. I need healing and I know He is healing me so put scriptures like isaiah 53 up and many on healing. Alleluia.!

Since switching from music to saint stories or sermons on my headset when opening the restraint at 5am every morning my life has changed. I started that in Lent. It's now been 3 months, so many blessings, I pray every day now, I am happier, I am calmer, I accept the bad days (seizures suck) with less hostility. God is good.

This is interesting because I’ve been going to bed listening to Gregorian Chants for over a month now, and do I see something extraordinary happening in my life. I am achieving a sense of calmness and security that I have craved for. I feel less inclined to judge other people and situations where I have no control or know nothing about. That has been my main petition every night and I know that Jesus is answering my prayers. I ask for forgiveness by constant confession during the day, and at night I ask for Jesus hold my tongue before I can even utter any judgement against anyone around me. My dear Jesus sure is helping me. I will now start my day as the priest suggests in the video. Thank you!

I was raised nonreligious. Upon reaching my teen years, I found friendships among Christian teens at a local protestant church. They seemed to me to be more accepting and less threatening than other people, and I was certainly a more timid kid. The influences this group had on me were definitely positive. But there were other influences far more cult like. I had heard terrible things about the Catholic Church and I was all to ready to believe them. It didn't help that the Catholics I knew personally seemed less than ideal examples. For some reason it never crossed my mind that those who are not good examples of Catholics should not be used to judge Catholicism. Then in a season of profound doubt, I picked up a book with an insanely dry and somewhat intimidating title: "ORTHODOXY" by a guy named G.K. Chesterton ....... perhaps you've heard of him? Then another profound thing occurred - I encountered actual faithful Catholics. Their joy was evident. Their kindness was undeniable. They seemed to have more patience, more honesty, more humility. And then upon the death of a dear friend, I went to a Catholic funeral. I expected the ceremony to be dull, dry, rehearsed and grim. It was the exact opposite of my expectations.
I've been trying to come up with a morning prayer but nothing ever stuck or felt right and I was trying too hard. This sounds so wonderful and I'm really glad I found it!!

Thank you Father for sharing this story. Such a simple and uncomplicated prayer. I taught my granddaughter to pray good morning Mommy Mary, good morning Baby Jesus, good morning St. Joseph. Then she added good morning donkey. I have a statue of a pregnant Mary sitting on a donkey with St. Joseph walking alongside on the way to Bethlehem.. She taught me to be grateful for the things God provides for us that we often take for granted. She was 2 years old.

@John Wickes I'm sorry for your loss of both parents. That's very hard to deal with. I lost my father last May 2019. I was estranged from him over 20 years. The regret and guilt I feel is like a ton of bricks falling on me daily. Please understand that "dude" from 2000 years ago saved you, me and all of humanity by taking all of our sins on Himself. He was tortured and crucified to death to save US. He is our salvation and we owe Him respect, reverence and our attention everyday. He rose on the 3rd and promises us life if we believe in Him. Put Jesus first in life because without Him, we are nothing. You may not understand this now but you will, give it time. Start reading the Holy Bible. Read the New Testament first, then the Old Testament to make it a bit easier. So many lessons to be learned to help us in this life. Go to a Bible based church whenever you can. Talk to God. He listens. He may not give you what you want, but he always gives you what you need in ways you would never think could happen. @@ItsNotAllRainbows_and_Unicorns No one made me resent my father. I just didn't like the way he treated my mom. It came to a tipping point and I made the decision to never talk to him again. But over the years, there was never a day that went by I didn't think about him or pray for him. Through open communication between other siblings and my father, I thought I could re-establish a relationship with him but I never got the courage to do it. I didn't have the leverage of success or accomplishment on my side to let him know the positives in my life so that he could be proud and know that at least I did well despite him not being there. He was very accomplished and I was and still am struggling with my job and other life areas that I just never got the chance to reconcile. My pride got in the way. I never should have gotten involved between my parents issues looking back. Now, he's gone. He died alone in another state, working till the day he died. Siblings and I had to fly out and go through his things - it was very emotional to say the least. And we wanted him buried next to us when our time comes so he's laid to rest back home. Children of divorce should never get involved in adult issues or be played like pawns for the other's benefit. Kids are so persuadable and will affect how they view the other parent. I hope you are able to get through to your kids but it will take time. Kindness and sincerity always wins in the end.

Is it just me or is anyone else noticing the large amount of people who are turning to Jesus? I'm one of those people. I'm 51 and I've finally figured out that I need Jesus. My Saviour chipped away at the wall I'd built around myself and I am in awe of his patience while doing so. Thank you Jesus!

As a cradle Catholic I learned that from the modeling of both my parents the very first thing they did when they woke up. That's good; really, I mean that. But I think father's suggestion was to be more childlike and less theological to start the day. If you could see Jesus in your room when you first get up (and not completely surprised, like it was usual to see Him), what would you say? I've been down the theological approach for a long time myself, but I had surgery for a brain tumor in June. Spent a couple weeks between the hospital and a rehab facility, and initially had a hard time even remembering how simple prayers go (actually had to concentrate at times to remember the next line of the Our Father, etc.). Fortunately both facilities had EWTN, so even on the day of surgery, I still was able to be led in my daily rosary. And it was there I began to see that I probably needed to be more contemplative (as in relational), even if it meant being less meditative.

Amen!!! I do the same all day long talking to the Lord. I saved at 16 years and drifted away from prayer and studying. Of course, I returned in my 20s. I can not explain just how much the Lord has blessed me. I come down with cancer at 42 years old. I was told it would come back. If it did, the likehood of my life would be 3 months. It did not come back for 22 years. Now it come back 2 years ago. But, I go every 3 months, and if the doctor sees a tumor, we cut it out ASAP. The Lord bless me again. I will have you to my prayer list. Keep the faith.

It’s reminding yourself _He’s first_ ..and that He was there, watching over you through every second of the night, ordained every rise and fall of your chest with every breath, waited with joy at your waking... only to have you rush off in your day, squeezing Him in at evening prayers, in troubled times, on Sunday morning or worse, not at all.
It’s not a _trick_ (??) but simply a way of reminding yourself to acknowledge the one who made and awoke you and how that simple change can make all the difference.

11 years ago. I shattered my leg ankle severely! They even discussed amputation.Rods and screws the whole 9. After they placed the cast on me. I wrote the words “good morning God”upside down so I could read it every day. I wish that I had kept that habit up. Thank you for the reminder! I love that!
Every morning I say something like ''Good morning Lord. Thank you for seeing me safely through the night and allowing me to live to see another day''. I say similar at night and mention what I am grateful for such as food in my fridge, a bed to sleep in, air conditioning to keep me cool, air to breathe, no health issues, a car to drive. There are a lot of things that we take for granted that we don't realise how fortunate we are to have in our lives. While you are laying there on your comfortable bed, there is someone else laying on the street. You have to be grateful for things like that. Honestly, this is not difficult to do as you lay there in your bed at the start or end of your day. Blessings to everyone.

I wanted to add that reading some if His word and listening to Him as we also pray. He heals us with his word we are told to meditate on his word daily. I take index cards and put some scriptures where I will see them throughout the day. I need healing and I know He is healing me so put scriptures like isaiah 53 up and many on healing. Alleluia.!

Since switching from music to saint stories or sermons on my headset when opening the restraint at 5am every morning my life has changed. I started that in Lent. Making the Sign of the Cross slowly and carefully and meditating on each of the Persons of the Blessed Trinity as soon as you wake I find helpful.
Similar to what I do which is to say the Glory Be. Maybe I should add father's suggestion too and greet the Lord and even Our Lady.

This is interesting because I’ve been going to bed listening to Gregorian Chants for over a month now, and do I see something extraordinary happening in my life. I am achieving a sense of calmness and security that I have craved for. I feel less inclined to judge other people and situations where I have no control or know nothing about. That has been my main petition every night and I know that Jesus is answering my prayers. I ask for forgiveness by constant confession during the day, and at night I ask for Jesus hold my tongue before I can even utter any judgement against anyone around me. My dear Jesus sure is helping me. I will now start my day as the priest suggests in the video. Thank you!

Absolutely, my first words are good morning Abba, which automatically puts a smile on my dial. Then I take my holy Bible, make the sign of the cross and ask Him what He would like to tell me today, picking out a random reading guided by the Lord and finally read Psalm 27 as a prayer to our Lord. I was raised nonreligious. Upon reaching my teen years, I found friendships among Christian teens at a local protestant church. They seemed to me to be more accepting and less threatening than other people, and I was certainly a more timid kid. The influences this group had on me were definitely positive.
But there were other influences far more cult like. I had heard terrible things about the Catholic Church and I was all to ready to believe them. It didn't help that the Catholics I knew personally seemed less than ideal examples. For some reason it never crossed my mind that those who are not good examples of Catholics should not be used to judge Catholicism.
Then in a season of profound doubt, I picked up a book with an insanely dry and somewhat intimidating title: "ORTHODOXY" by a guy named G.K. Chesterton ....... perhaps you've heard of him? Then another profound thing occurred - I encountered actual faithful Catholics. Their joy was evident. Their kindness was undeniable. They seemed to have more patience, more honesty, more humility. And then upon the death of a dear friend, I went to a Catholic funeral. I expected the ceremony to be dull, dry, rehearsed and grim. It was the exact opposite of my expectations.

Thank you Father for sharing this story. Such a simple and uncomplicated prayer. I taught my granddaughter to pray good morning Mommy Mary, good morning Baby Jesus, good morning St. Joseph. Then she added good morning donkey. I have a statue of a pregnant Mary sitting on a donkey with St. Joseph walking alongside on the way to Bethlehem.. She taught me to be grateful for the things God provides for us that we often take for granted. She was 2 years old.

Star Light , please watch bible4truth. He explains it so well. When I was a child I used to ask the same thing. Maybe God wants you to seek out the answer.? I will tell you the truth as best I can explain;
God put on flesh. Because God is A Spirit, so He came ( manifested) INSIDE of the Son. Jesus the Son was born of a woman ( flesh) but God in Spirit. So Jesus was both, man and Spirit of God. God was IN Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. Jesus says, I come In My Father’s Name. He says there Is Only One Name Under Heaven Whereby we Must be Saved. And It says Jesus was given A Name Above Every Name. It says Not to take His Name in Vain. It also says, Stephen, when he was stoned called upon GOD, saying Lord Jesus, ... And it says there is only One Name in which we must be baptized, that is Jesus.
So you see, Gods name is Jesus. And His Son was Named Jesus because He was God walking around with flesh on.
Jesus the son was the mediator because he was human and God, and so bringing us together by the sacrifice, making a Way for us.
Eph 2:15- Having abolished In His Flesh the enmity, ...so to make in Himself of TWAIN, ONE New Man.
Now when we believe, we get the Spirit inside of us, and that is our baptism. Born into Christ, the Spirit birth, and we are New Creatures, created in Christ. The old man is dead. @John Wickes I'm sorry for your loss of both parents. That's very hard to deal with. I lost my father last May 2019. I was estranged from him over 20 years. The regret and guilt I feel is like a ton of bricks falling on me daily. Please understand that "dude" from 2000 years ago saved you, me and all of humanity by taking all of our sins on Himself. He was tortured and crucified to death to save US. He is our salvation and we owe Him respect, reverence and our attention everyday. He rose on the 3rd and promises us life if we believe in Him. Put Jesus first in life because without Him, we are nothing. You may not understand this now but you will, give it time. Start reading the Holy Bible. Read the New Testament first, then the Old Testament to make it a bit easier. So many lessons to be learned to help us in this life. Go to a Bible based church whenever you can. Talk to God. He listens. He may not give you what you want, but he always gives you what you need in ways you would never think could happen.

But over the years, there was never a day that went by I didn't think about him or pray for him. Through open communication between other siblings and my father, I thought I could re-establish a relationship with him but I never got the courage to do it. I didn't have the leverage of success or accomplishment on my side to let him know the positives in my life so that he could be proud and know that at least I did well despite him not being there. He was very accomplished and I was and still am struggling with my job and other life areas that I just never got the chance to reconcile. My pride got in the way. I never should have gotten involved between my parents issues looking back. Now, he's gone. He died alone in another state, working till the day he died. Siblings and I had to fly out and go through his things - it was very emotional to say the least. And we wanted him buried next to us when our time comes so he's laid to rest back home.
Children of divorce should never get involved in adult issues or be played like pawns for the other's benefit. Kids are so persuadable and will affect how they view the other parent. I hope you are able to get through to your kids but it will take time. Kindness and sincerity always wins in the end.
A very simple prayer i will add it to my mornings. A simple prayer I grew up with....Thank you for your Blessings Lord, which thou dost kindly give. We shall show our thanks to Thee by how we speak and live. Amen
Day 1 of telling Jesus “Good morning” I was introduced to the seven sorrows of Mary Rosary and I was introduced to the charismatic renewal of the Catholic Church. I’ve been alone all day today, but I’ve been with the Lord so I haven’t been alone.
