I remember I loved Mother Teresa, and was all for her becoming beatified, until I read about her history. When I read what her nuns said about her, about what she was really like- that she was a tyrant who, in a nutshell, abused patients and themselves, I felt betrayed, and I was so angry. This woman sat there and kept medicine and necessities from desperate people because she claimed that pain and suffering made people closer to Jesus by sharing his own suffering, and yet, when she got sick, she got herself top-notch medical care. Guess she didn't want to share in Jesus' suffering. She was such a hypocrite. I'm still angry about it.

I saw a public service announcement on TV back in the 1990's. In a voice-over, Mother Teresa described how she found a man dying on the streets, and her order gave the man a bed to die in. She said something like, "He died with the most beatific smile on his face." At the time, I felt something was profoundly wrong with Mother Teresa. She ignored the man until he was ready to die, then she put him in a controlled environment where she could control his suffering and death...all for the glory of Jesus Christ. That's messed up.
The poor of Calcutta would just die in the gutter by the thousands. She saw this one man and gave him a bed. In the end she gave succor to thousands. It is an error to say that she ignored him before his situation became hopeless. Imagine the terrible plight of those desperately poor people. She did something to ease their suffering, give them dignity, and show them kindness and love. No one ever said that saints were perfect in their lives. Did she handle this reality as you would have? She was maybe a suicidal person and said that before she took poison just to get her name out there. there is all kinds of people in the world and I dont belive in anything no more without real proof
All my life i adored respected and was a follower of Mother Teresa till the age of 22 That's when during one of my conversations about how divine and godly Mother Teresa was, that one of my friend from Calcutta who actually overhead my conversation told me the absolute truth about her, and this was back in 2007 and it was hard for me to belive him at that time. And then i researched on my own and found out that my friend was actually telling the truth She was actually just a person who wanted to spread Christianity and for that she used the poor and their sufferings, she equated the sufferings of the poor to that of the curcifixion of Christ and made the poor belive that their suffering was for a divine cause and for path to paradise and to Jesus Christ She let them suffer and die even if proper medical care could have saved many of them, she would even take the children from the streets and the first thing she would do is baptise them to Christianity and then only took care of them, she just wanted to buy her place in heave, that's all she did
I wouldn't say she was selfish to the extent of doing all that just to buy a place in heaven. I'm sure there would've been easier ways to 'buy a place in heaven' than to work tirelessly in a far-off country instead of just proselytizing nearby masses or simply serving in the church. That being said, I think she actually believed her religion and its ways to be the absolute truth to the extent of forgetting all rationality. It's this fervent adherence to her beliefs, howsoever wrong they might have been, that made her blind to the reality of the people she was supposed to be caring for. I do not think there was any malice or ill-intent involved. Then again, one can only speculate...
That's appallingly to say the least. A true Christian is supposed to encourage hope to the needy and not dwell on their already sorry state. Jesus came and died so that we could have life. He came so we can have a better future. If He wanted us to suffer, then why did He heal the sick, let the blind see and let the the mute speak? If what Theresa did is true, then she'd be answerable to God. "Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life" -John 8:12 Jesus died so that those who are suffering won't suffer anymore. Theresa is wrong. That's not Christianity.
That’s not all what she did . She did a good job by being a political religious person who made lots of money for Catholic Church . Politics and religions always go side by side . God didn’t create religions . People did .
I'm from India. For the majority of life even I believed that Teresa was a great person, as we were taught all the lies mentioned in the video. I couldn't believe when I once came to know the truth a few years ago. These missionaries approach the poor even today with Hindu names and pretend to be Hindu priests (wearing saffron clothing and applying Tilak and wearing beads), even swapping many Christian names and concepts with Hindu ones to trick them into conversion. They refer to Jesus as Shiva/some other deity, The Cross as a tree, and use slogans like "Jai Khrist" (literal translation: Hail Christ).
When we Indian tell you you guys brand us andhbhakts,RSS agent, sanghi when western media tells you you agree. That's the problem with Indians Hindus sickulars. That's what right winger tries to tell by shouting. Buy you won't listen you brand them as hinduwta fascist. Most of you will even brand infographics sanghis.
Trust me,I was in a Jesuit School. The cult like behaviour of the fathers and sisters, the top manangement it is going to give a sane person trauma for life. We were never asked to know about the Hindu culture, only Christianity. Only when you grow up you realise you have been under some type of grooming to not question their idols and follow whatever they do, without question.
Trust me i live in jharkhand and here is a mixture of tribals and hindu biharis (they are kattar hindus) ...i am a bihari and from what i have seen these missionaries are converting forcefully ...the tribals have already been converted, idk what kind of religion they follow in their wedding they wear saree and the white thing that they wear on head in Christian marriages ...Some are forcefully converted others are given rice bags and money to convert ...also there are a lot of missionary school ...all of them are totally against hindus and sanatan dharma ..their history books only have rise and spread of Christianity and islam ...children know nothing about their real ancestors and religion...i am glad i didn't study in a missionary but what about tribals and their rituals the Christians totally destroyed it ....
Don't be confused with Christianity. It has many branches. There's Catholic where Theresa came from, there's Protestant Christians where you'll see real devoted Christian missionaries who follow the ways of Christ (true charity, compassion, love, etc), and there's Orthodox Christian who are like Catholics but are compassionate like the Protestants.
She didn’t want to eliminate suffering because she often said that suffering bought you closer to god. That’s why they had untrained volunteers running their facilities
She manipulated the poor into thinking that god wanted them to suffer and that was ok just to get away. I’ve seen many who put faith first and not really seek the help they need
Apparently that saying applied only to the peasants, because when it came for her turn to suffer, she quickly flew away and went to the best clinics to cure her heart issues, kidney ailments, and malaria. All paid with the money she deviated from her charity. That b knew exactly what she was doing. Bet she didn't even believe in Jesus, because why would she stop her suffering that bought her "closer to god" as she said so many times to her "patients".
She was correct that suffering brings people closer to God, as it enables them to understand what he experienced on the cross to save all of mankind. That being said, you speak as if she had a choice of eliminating suffering. Suffering is a reality of the world that cannot be eliminated. You can only try to cope with it, which is what she did. She did not have a magical button that could end all human suffering.
@@psychout3481 She came from a wealthy family. She always had the means to seek better treatment for herself. She did not have the means to fly every person dying in slums to the US to get treatment. That is prohibitively expensive. I doubt that the US would have even allowed entry to large numbers of people who had no documentation at all, on medical grounds. It is indisputable that she helped people. How many is what the video questions, but would you rather that the people she helped have been left to die?
I really appreciate that you think that Mother Theresa is good! But don‘t worry about if we are in the endtime or not. You could anyway just die tomorrow… so just live a good life and it wont make any diffrence, if the „end“ is coming soon ore not.
It did not surprise me at all as many so called priests, monks and other religious figures constantly abuse their power to do bad things. They do so many bad things but most don’t suspect them since religious people blindly think that religious figures are all good people but that of course is not the case. Many who are not religious see through it all. My late mom who was religious think that all monks are good people but of course that is not true. She even said it was not our right to criticize them but I don’t agree because if everyone just keeps quiet then they will continue to use religion to do bad things.

My 2 nursing colleagues went to her hospital in the 1990, s after paying all their own expenses and accommodation. They went for 2 months, came back after 2 weeks. Scarred for life. Dying patients prayed over, but consistently refused morhine to alleviate pain. It was considered better for the dying person to be prayed over so they could suffer as christ suffered. God knows what happened to the worldwide money donations, it certainly wasn't on medicine sterile equipment, or hospital beds or food. Beds were canvas pallets on floor. At that time, they were appealing for qualified nurses to volunteer. Friends said it looked worse than they imagined the front line crimean 1st WAR nursing stations were. Friends said no one could cope for more than a week. Friends had raised thousands for this charity, like many others who went. She was a sanctimonious fraud with a religious fixation.

This woman sat there and kept medicine and necessities from desperate people because she claimed that pain and suffering made people closer to Jesus by sharing his own suffering, and yet, when she got sick, she got herself top-notch medical care.
Mother thought since they endured poverty so well, even seemed to relish it, they were holy people, the poor .
Remember too the caste system! It was going quite as usual then. Indians except Gandhi, didnt complain. The Indians didnt stop it except for the Mahatma and maybe Nehru. British didnt invent the "Untouchables."
A lot of people welcomed the British. They helped the economy of India. Not straightforward, history. Like people, a mixed lot.

Yes, she was a Fraud 🤥
Thank you for these truths. It's nearly impossible to get people to listen. She must have had the BEST PR team. I knew of very rich people who hooked up with her, trying to buy their way out of the guilt of over-privilege. Much easier to throw money at her than to do anything substantial.
I've read former volunteers say the same things, that they didn't believe in pain relief, the lack of medical staff, that they thought suffering was good for people. It's very sad when you consider all the good that could have been done if they'd involved professionals, if they'd provided proper medical care, if they'd had training programs or given these poor people a way to make a living. The only purpose to suffering is so that we develop compassion, so that we do something to stop the suffering. Giving someone a bed, so they don't have to do their suffering on the pavement, falls very short.
Where are you going to find these qualified professionals 3rd world countries?
EDIT: I regret making this comment. I know next to nothing about India, I shouldn't judge. But I also think we shouldn't judge Mother Teresa and her noble efforts without knowing both sides of the story and having all of the facts.
@@RickyDemetro With the huge amounts of money she was getting from donations?

Mother Teresa once met a man named "Gannar Sindhi " who was suffering from cancer...she promised that she would heal him using Holy water
"Gannar Sindhi" did not die...
But "Gabriel Sebastian" Died of Cancer.
You now understand how she converted people of India.

@Shruti Tiwari so the only evidence is her testemony which cant be proven, and it took her 30 years to say it? She was maybe a suicidal person and said that before she took poison just to get her name out there. there is all kinds of people in the world and I dont belive in anything no more without real proof
@@skrkkt9794 😂😂 cmmon man it's a recent incident I think she forget to mention that.
All my life i adored respected and was a follower of Mother Teresa till the age of 22
That's when during one of my conversations about how divine and godly Mother Teresa was, that one of my friend from Calcutta who actually overhead my conversation told me the absolute truth about her, and this was back in 2007 and it was hard for me to belive him at that time.
And then i researched on my own and found out that my friend was actually telling the truth
She was actually just a person who wanted to spread Christianity and for that she used the poor and their sufferings, she equated the sufferings of the poor to that of the curcifixion of Christ and made the poor belive that their suffering was for a divine cause and for path to paradise and to Jesus Christ
She let them suffer and die even if proper medical care could have saved many of them, she would even take the children from the streets and the first thing she would do is baptise them to Christianity and then only took care of them, she just wanted to buy her place in heave, that's all she did
I wouldn't say she was selfish to the extent of doing all that just to buy a place in heaven.
Thats Unbelievable. School are indeed teaching us lies.
"Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life" -John 8:12
Jesus died so that those who are suffering won't suffer anymore. Theresa is wrong. That's not Christianity.
That’s not all what she did . She did a good job by being a political religious person who made lots of money for Catholic Church . Politics and religions always go side by side . God didn’t create religions . People did .
I would say the first step is to take care of people even if you don't know how, then eventually improve.
It was not hospitals but hospices she ran. ie care for the dying.
Christopher Hitchens was way more then just a critic. He dedicated his life to finding the truth.
Did he ever find it?
He should get the infografics attention…

Trust me,I was in a Jesuit School. The cult like behaviour of the fathers and sisters, the top manangement it is going to give a sane person trauma for life. @@shadowoffire4307 Yep.
That was dangerous and kinda counted as a crime.

It is indisputable that she helped people. How many is what the video questions, but would you rather that the people she helped have been left to die?

In order to pull people out of poverty in India, you have to pull people out of India.
