I liked that the sales associate was into the process, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. Next time I am in Denver will have to check them out. Great video!
Mostly great people, but avoid Hyde Park's Rolex boutique. They epitomize all the worst things you've heard about Rolex dealers, rude, self important, unwilling to help. Stick to the main room shown here.
John at Hyde Park is an absolutely awesome guy. Last time I went in there to browse watches, he offered to clean up my wife's wedding ring. He really knows his stuff and if anyone is ever in Denver, go see John at Hyde Park.
I normally spend anywhere from about $250-$400 on a Watch. I would love to see you do a similar video where you build a diversified collection...but with a $2,000 budget instead.
I was just in their store today looking at watches with John, he is an awesome salesman and the passion he has for watches really shows through. It's truly refreshing working with a salesman that knows what they are talking about and can "geek out" on the details of a watch with you. Still making up my mind on which watch to get, but I definitely know who I'll be buying it from!

@@mkyhou1160 other than Rolex and perhaps Omega (a bit of a stretch), which luxury brands are not a mistake to buy new? It's really a mistake if you plan on recouping on that capital.
@@Tourtiere34 I think it pays to be smart, people fall out of love with watches, or they lose their income or similar. The only time it might make sense to buy a JLC new that I can think of is if there is a big discount and the AD also sells Rolex (or Patek / AP) and promises you a rare steel sports that trades for a premium in return.
@Unknown dude if you aren’t a hoarder and only buy watches to wear, you have to sell from time to time when you want to upgrade or aren’t feeling the love. I never own more than two to three watches, so every time I buy I sell one, it has to be an upgrade. I’m always also conscious life can throw a curve ball, I’m not a trust fund baby. Buying used is simply smart if you know a watch goes down more than AD discounts, which is the case new JLCs (or the Zenith El Primero I got second hand in mint condition), there is no new car smell with a watch.
I may never be able to walk into an AD and do a heck of a splurge like this but boy was that loads of fun to watch! Kudos to the fantastic salesguy too. Thanks for sharing the experience. ❤️
I love these $30k in 30 mins vids. This collection was a lot more elegant than the last I think but both were awesome. The Seamaster wave dial is just a work of art. You really did this well and got some awesome pieces.
