      @@Tourtiere34 I think it pays to be smart, people fall out of love with watches, or they lose their income or similar. The only time it might make sense to buy a JLC new that I can think of is if there is a big discount and the AD also sells Rolex (or Patek / AP) and promises you a rare steel sports that trades for a premium in return.

    • @mkyhou1160
      @mkyhou1160 3 года назад

      @Unknown dude if you aren’t a hoarder and only buy watches to wear, you have to sell from time to time when you want to upgrade or aren’t feeling the love. I never own more than two to three watches, so every time I buy I sell one, it has to be an upgrade. I’m always also conscious life can throw a curve ball, I’m not a trust fund baby. Buying used is simply smart if you know a watch goes down more than AD discounts, which is the case new JLCs (or the Zenith El Primero I got second hand in mint condition), there is no new car smell with a watch.

    That ended up as a great collection. The IWC spitfire made me check out that piece. Bronze really makes it stand out. Plus the JJ master controller and that Seastar stealing the show. Only thing I'd change is the Omega to a different dial.

    Awesome:
    I'd pick up:
    1-Omega Seamaster 300 with white dial on a rubber strap for the sports watch
    2-JLC Reserve De Marche for the Dress Watch
    3-
    That's it I think, as much as I like IWC they're so hard to resell, you get like 50-60% for what you paid for. Same for JLC but JLC is pure class.
