I don’t even weld, I have no interest in it or will ever weld. BUT I’m digging this channel and I’m digging the educative journey, and your vids. Keep up the good work man
never say never. i got into a project that i couldn't find anyone to weld up for me. it was pretty ate up with rust. i went out and bought a flux core welder and taught myself. i'm no where near the level this guy is of course. i'm getting better though on the random stuff i do. i was like you once. if you can't learn a new trick throughout your life, you're not gonna get anything done.
Great job on the side job 👍! I truly think that teaching would be your calling. You have the heart of a teacher, and I think you would get fulfillment and happiness from teaching. Keep up the great work 👍
Good work bro. Keep burning and earning. 💪🏾 I put my ranger 8 to work for the first time yesterday working on some shipping containers for the fire dep. I volunteer at. My welds look nowhere near as good as yours but they were plenty for what it’s used for. I’m slowly getting into the rig welding side.
That little project you made it’s like structural welding don’t waste your 6010 all you need is 7018. It’s not pipe. Rods aren’t cheap. Keep up the good work ✌🏼

Right on man. Very nice. It doesn't even feel like work when I'm welding and or building/prepping for weld. I hope things work out for you out there....you know ... as far as the oil industry. I hope things work out for us all. Take care out there. 👍
Hey man ! I really like your videos. I’ve been a welder in Alberta Canada for 18 years. I find it very interesting the way you guys work in the USA. Cheers for a busy welding 2021 !
Absolutely good content and excellent skill there ! I have a 9 car stinger trailer in the east coast( Baltimore, Md) that needs bottom side rail frame on trailer replaced. If you ever up this way and need to keep busy, give me a quote and i would love to work with you.
Hey been watching for lil bit , your delivery on the know -how about welding and how the field operates is really helpful for all welders...@5:57-6:10 I was kinda confused as to how you layed the 6010...to me I looks like you really jammed the rod into the space , but if i do that with 6010 it usually sticks...can you clarify for me what I might be doing wrong ....again thank you for the content you do💯
Orlando Florida has plenty of welding jobs that pay 26hr +. Highway and downtown building are currently being constructed 1 place is call Slylake and started out my buddy at 32hr.. Good luck with your journey
You do it like I do man! Dig yo fab skills man. U work them rods like it's your livelihood lol I wanna get there, I am TIG n Mig proficient, but stick is soo convenient
You should give classes on welding bro i would love to learn how to weld like you im sure you can make 💰 teaching beginners this other welding schools are super high in their prices
I applied for a apprenticeship at my local union, I couldn’t decide from gas distribution or pipe fitting. I’m leaning toward pipe fitting because I don’t want travel very far. I am eager to learn and have little experience in mig and nothing else. Opinions would be really helpful
You should get into Trucking man you’ll always have work 40 hrs a week with overtime and they pay well. Maybe do the welding as a side hustle. I left the Union for that same reason. Lay offs cost you money just my opinion though.
Ayyye, Center street. My dad took me there for my first job as a pipe fitter helper. He called it La Lágrima, because that's were people that don't have a job go. Lol
It’s clean bro, I’m almost done with my welding tech degree. Your videos really help a lot, thanks for posting bro. I’m also in Houston so it’s really cool watching you blog around here!
Yeah thank Dems the oils and gas industry is gonna be hurting.. I'm in the turbine repair business.. Had to travel overseas during the Obama years. But so be it.. The hardest part of independent welding is project scheduling.. Cool video.. Brother..
I have been in the trades for over 30 years and I was never laid off. Even when I was an inexperienced apprentice/helper/gopher, as the jobs would wind down and the crew would get cut, I was ALWAYS the last of the guys on site. If you find you are being cut, then you are not producing as much as the other guys. You may think you are better, you may think you are faster, but in reality, you are not. I would see guys like you cry a river about how great they were and they shouldn't be cut, but I would keep my mouth shut and do my job. The key points are : Arrive to the job 15 minuted before scheduled. Work non stop until 1st break. Never be the first guy to go to break. Finish your break ON TIME, not 2 minutes after... Don't run to the bathroom right after break, do your business during your break. Work non stop until lunch. Same rules apply here as for your break. After lunch, WORK non stop until told it's time to go home. IF YOU ARE CUT, THEN YOU ARE NOT A GOOD EMPLOYEE. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it is what it is.
Ill give you an advise. You can charge by how much a person is willing to pay. Obviously people goin to try to low ball u.. but yeah start by overcharging first and work down to a reasonable price.
