    This guy is a genius. The way he praises his employees and pay them well. That guy understood everything it is to get to lead a business especially the type of business he is doing.

      his point on rebuild the company if you change people all the time is so true. That guy a genius.. I don't use that word easily. And I am kinda smart myself. And the positive psychology books that people still laugh bout to this day is also a genius move. Sometimes your mindset is bad. It's actually smart to improve it. The same way you hire one of the real men of his business to fix your basement.

      Oh yes its hard to find skilled workers
      Its even harder to keep them
      I worked in a readymix concrete and block factory
      The profits was decreasing from 2011 - 2019 because of low demand, taxes and most importantly high government fees
      But we were profitable at least
      till upper management changed 50% of skilled workers to decrease cost
      Today they are loosing money and soon will close shop
      Its easier to demolish than to build

      Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.

      ​@@zeusdarkgod7727 yeah I left the trades because of that haha. Wages have actually gone down slightly ($26.13 to $25.98 an hour) since 1960 in the construction industry. Not worth it when you're not an electrician or HVAC guy. There are a few other trades that make okay money, but it's still barely worth the amount of back breaking work that's required lol.

      I agree...fantastic advice that can applied in many ways. Sometimes our small jumps can lead us to be positioned to make the big jumps we haven't imagined yet.

      Small jumps only require small risks, big jumps take big risks. We can see alot of people who take small jumps over a long period of time do well. We also see people who take big jumps do really well.
      What we don't look at are the failures, classic survivorship basis.
      I imagine if you take this guy's advice your life has a very good chance to be fruitful and happy, you take some crypto guru advice or gamble your money you're almost guaranteed to fail.
      The most important advice though is just to try being a entrepreneur, the chances of getting hit by lightning are small. Right up until you decide to hike up a mountain in the rain. Remember that people.

      Every employee ever has said that and are constantly complaining. But upper management doesnt see it like this. They only see numbers. And for most, you are exactly that, a number, not more. They see you as an easily replaceable asset.

      Yes, but the dignity you deserve as a human vs your ability to do your job aren't the same. If you suck at your job, can't or won't improve, and aren't trying to be the best then you aren't going to be seen as a high value employee. There's two sides to everything.

    As a blue collar bastard, this has been my favorite video. I strive to own my own construction company within the next 10 years. I’ve read this guy’s story multiple times and he’s the real deal. Immense respect for this man.

    The best thing from this video, in my opinion, is when he talked about the difference when your workers stay in the company, instead of changing people and rebuilding the company again and again in that way. So many owners can't get that right, in my opinion. This guy is smart!

    Man this is a great story, im an auto glass technician. I started from the bottom worked my way to one of the best technicians in my state. I make almost 90k salary and now im starting my business doing it. I literally started at minimum wage at petsmart when i was 18 and now im 29. Work hard, work smart and also make the right decisions on opportunities when they arise.

    I can relate. I started earning money at 15 and fortunately saved most of what I earned and kept that mindset. With those savings I built a couple of apartments to rent, then reinvested in more apartments, then business places and I kept going. I'm not as rich as this guy but my family and I are all set for life. We can travel and get anything we want. All because I decided at a young age that I was going to save like crazy.

    Can't deny the fact that Abel Dorsey is the strongest bet to bring power back to this industry after we suffered FTX, Celsius, Tera and so on. Sure if they fail it's done for good, but I don't see that the biggest tech company in the world would put everything at risk just for that.

    If that makes you happy, why not? I know a guy (former customer) who made millions rebuilding and restoring trucks and running a trucking company... until he retired he almost everyday worked in the shop, getting his hands greasy because that made him happy... he had the brains and was able to put the right people in place to run the company so he could work with the boys.

    Technical classes in highschool are awesome. Need more of those. I took electrical technology (electrician / electrical engineering path) and learned a lot. Got a summer job doing electrical work and gained valuable experience. I didn't choose that path, but it improved my understanding of how the world works. Kids need these practical skills and perspectives.

      In New York the democratic politicians did away with all the trade school programs for kids in the inner city teaching them skills that can make them independently wealthy. These politicians today don't want our youth truly educated

      I did the same path but i stayed on it and now im a maintenance technician/electrical engineer in a chem cleaning company at 23 and once i started to work here i still feel like ive missed alot of stuff to learn about especially with my hands

      I was a very smart kid (went to top uni's and unfortuneatly became a lawyer)....in high school guidence counsler calls me down asking why I am taking auto and metal shop if I am applying to top schools....it will hurt your chances....my response...only classes I am learning anything

    When I was 12 I said I would never work for a boss and I haven't. I started my own business and is doing alright. This guy, I wouldn't mind working for him. He doesn't strike me as the 'boss' man but a leader who values his guys. You my man, I hope you all the best may you even become wealthier than you already are and grow your business even more and hire more people. You're a true example of how a leader should be.       It was a lot easier back then, no strict building codes or permits, you basically could just buy a bunch of wood and nails and with a saw and hammer you're good to go.

      @@joshuadalton6063 You hear this a lot. Big company's that started in the 80's couldn't start again now. The rules are strickt, licences , permits.... Materials are way more expensive, labor is way more expensive. Now it's impossible for an 18yr old to build a house with his 17 and 14 yr old brother.

    How can you not like this guy?! He is an inspiration. I have a tech background and also run a contracting company. Without people in the trades, we have no society and definitely no tech jobs. Who’s going to lay the fiber cables, climb the cell towers, maintain the facilities, keep the water running? The list goes on and on.

    I did not believe that after the whole FTX drama there's any good to get this year but Abel Dorsey proved otherwise. Bad timing maybe but it's a great adoption to get this more to the mainstream and raise awareness. Probably a high contender for a top 100 growth

    I bought me some TSLA and SOFI last month. Some Investors are preaching buy the dip, some are selling without a concern should I too? I am asking because after a pretty good September I am up to 274k from 180k at the beginning of the 2nd quarter thanks to the likes of PLTR and NVDA.
