The motorcycle tariff gave Harley zero incentive to innovate over the last 40 years and now they’re scrambling to catch up and coming up short. I say this as someone that rides all brands of bikes, including Harleys. The same thing that happened to Harley will happen to Skydio.
Why is a drone ban even being considered? Google Maps will show just about anything China wants to see. If you Google a US Military base it provides anyone an extreme amount of data about the base. Everything you own that is has electronics / has a computer of any kind / a chip is made from China. Your PC, your dishwasher, your refrigerator, your truck, your motorcycle, your modem, your router, etc all have computer chips in them from China. Yes, every China made computer chip has a backdoor. And, if you were to check, pretty much every “American” company that you buy all this stuff from is at least in part owned by China.

You have made some very poignant comments and I agree with you. I haven’t been on social media in nearly 5 years now and certainly don’t miss it. I agree that instead of banning a device or particular product the focus should be on what is being collected. Our privacy should be protected first and foremost!
The issue is the Citizens united ruling by the Supreme Court. IT allows corporations to be heavily involved in our government but without any accountability. So they are "People" when it benefits them but not when they dont want it. So they can use their massive pocketbooks to influence our representatives in ways that the average person cannot compete with ever.

It’s all politics. Politicians make decisions based on votes. Very few make decisions based on what’s right or best.
