That includes EV's, Robotics, 5G, AI products, Certain consumer goods like surveillance cameras, smartphones and no surprises social media companies. This attack on Chinese drones is simply the latest attempt to "decouple". The U.S consumer will pay a high price but the U.S empire will still stand albeit battered and bruised.

With that said, which drone do I buy/build in Q3 2024 and get my drone license as a new drone operator?(I’m new to drones, but I am a heavy equipment operator and Filmmaker so always felt this was the perfect hobby for me to actually make an income on.

And? They can't brick a 2.4GHZ or 5GHz drone without DJI pushing a firmware/software update that does so, which they would never do. They do not have any way to block drones currently in your hand. The only possible thing that can be done is to pull the DJI app from app stores. But it would still be able to be sideloaded and it doesn't matter for people with the RC controller. They can make it more difficult to fly DJI but they can't actually stop it.

There is absolutely zero way they can stop anyone from connecting to DJI's servers to login to the app. Only DJI can block US customers. I wanted to share my perspective on the current discussions regarding the potential ban on Chinese drones in the U.S. It seems to me that this ban does not truly reflect a genuine concern from the U.S. government about Chinese drones. Rather, implementing such a ban would eliminate approximately 90% of recreational drones sold in the U.S., significantly reducing the number of drones flown in this country.
Additionally, it's worth noting that the momentum for this ban only started to build after SkyDio's exit from the consumer drone market. This timing seems more than coincidental and suggests that other factors may be influencing the narrative.
I believe it is crucial for us to address this issue from this perspective in our messaging.

To be fair, on a broad section, the invasion of Chinese products due to their cheaper price (from varying reasons) is rather scary. Cyber security is one reason, tho admittedly, it's not as bad as it might seem. But the Chinese plan is to gain supremacy through policies like this. And, in simple terms, Chinese supremacy is not something I want over American supremacy. But funding shit like Belt and Road, while helpful for upcoming countries, serves to put China in a better position. I'm for seeing some focus on pushing back on the constant outsourcing that's been happening. Maybe this will push American companies to make better consumer drones. But it sucks short term.

Also, he mentioned that the ban if it happens, could take years to implement in which time there will be a slew of lawsuits That may overturn it. This is a much bigger issue than when the federal government banned federal agencies from using DJI drones. So will we be able to purchase a new Mavic 4 Pro when it comes out according to Ryan, most likely. Please see the recent interview between Ryan and Ken Heron on his channel if you want some good news instead of all the doom and gloom being paddled by most RUclips drone presenters.

It's the FCC's product authorization/certification process, not the pilot registration/licensing process.

It’s strange that you would even mention Skydio as an alternative, all things considered. And Anzu?!? Their business model stinks. Licensing a copy of a drone and charging a 30+% premium for the same product… I wonder if the customer experience will be as shady as their business practices. At this point in the game, I expect better from UAV Coach.

Every viewer and subscriber should take a moment to contact their congressional representatives and oppose these acts (proposed laws). A few thousand emails are pointless. If they receive a hundred thousand emails, they might wake up! Otherwise, say good bye to your drones!
