Jon I’m so sorry to hear about your cousin. I also lost someone to Covid. Her name was Lydia, she was a mother of 6 children. 3 boys, 3 girls. She had worked as a nurse for 10 years and after was a caregiver till she passed at 77. She was the strongest, kindest, most incredible woman I ever knew. I was and will til my dying breath be honored to be her grandson. Miss you grandma!
Lost my Dad to Covid last January at 60 years old. Still so hard to believe and tough to get through. My condolences to you Jon, you’re a real one. I’ve loved this podcast since you started
My family lost one of its major members who went out of his way to help all of us. He succumbed to Covid. His last words before being incubated were “remember that I love each and every one of you.” That hurt so much when they told me those were his last words.
I lost my father suddenly. I still didn't believe it for a long time. Its quite true that you sometimes forget and turn to say something only to realize. A piece of your mind gone but still not entirely.
Adam Schlesinger was one of those people that was so incredibly talented that you struggle to find a scale to measure him against. As someone who was born in the late 70's, FoW was in inescapable part of the soundtrack of my adolescence. To anyone who is out there still calling Covid a hoax, this should be a reminder that there were a lot of real people lost, and real people are still hurting.
I agree. NASCAR fans that get their advice from some dude that stands on a stage collecting tax free money to spat stories about donkeys speaking and humans walking on water. I’m a republican that believes in American democracy but facts are facts
Adam S was highly gifted . His work with The Monkees made their last album a truly great piece of pop that made just about every Best of the Year list.
Weird thing - the New York Times published the names of those who had died from Covid very early on near the beginning of the pandemic. It was on the front page and it was maybe 1,000 names. I don’t know how many. But it was tiny print. Like regular newspaper typeface. And you know how sometimes you do a word search game on a page and your eye goes right to it? Like a fast zoom in a movie, my eye zoomed in immediately to Adam’s name somewhere near the middle of the page. I knew he had passed by then, but I also knew it was no accident that I zoomed in on him immediately. I was a huge fan. I had seen FOW live and wore out their records. It was surreal. I’m also a Sarah fan but didn’t know about their connection until she talked about it on her podcast. Made perfect sense. I knew the FOW guys did soundtrack work. Just total pros and great writers.
C'mon what's wrong?! It's a radiaton vibe I'm groovin on. Don't it make you wanna get some sun? Shine on shine shine on shine onnnnn. I still rock the first FOW album from 96ish to this day. Survival car, Saint Joe and the school bus etc. And love Cha Cha by the Tinted windows! RIP to the god.
I'm like curious, like, do all americans like use like the word like "like" that like often? Don't get me wrong, I love the REAL ONES and Jon and Sarah very much. I just recognized the overuse of "likes" in that conversation. I'm still learning English and am always interested in little things like that. RIP Adam.
I did not notice the use of “like” until I read your comment. It is quite annoying lol not everyone speaks this way. I agree with the previous persons comment.
Being a musician and a huge fan of FOW, I crued my eyes out when I learned of his passing...to f*cking COVID! Of all the people this shitty virus took from us it was him. I write down my musical idols on my guitar if they pass away: Elliott Smith and Adam Schlesinger.
@@MACHOMANRANDYSAVAGE2211 SNL monologue poking fun at Covid vaccines comparing to drug cartels, which would have simply been laughed at had he not publicly called out government restrictions and big pharma over vaccines in the past. Covid is no hoax. Only the numbers and paranoia associated with it.
Thats not a super common last name
I've never heard anyone say it's a hoax, just over hyped
So true I work in healthcare and saw so many people die. My personal loss was when my cousin died of covid.
So nice to see Sarah doing the podcast rounds! She's one of a kind
She's a one of a kind POS.
Hackensack is one of my all time fav songs... Cousins? Talented family. Jon always has a surprise.
Amazing to see him share so much in this video with Sarah.

Sry to hear the news , Jon.That is understandably a tough one to hear. I'm sure he picked better friends at some point.
Has anybody ever seen Sarah Silverman and Justin long in the same room together they're either the same person or she's turning into him
Jonathan Majors reminds me of Jon. Does anyone else notice this? Forget the ethnicity, I mean their essential personalities. Am I alone on this?
Sarah Silverman didnt like kids "too much" ? ( in the wronh way) is there a photo of a little girl smoking a cigarette with a chiken?
Sarah still dresses likes it’s 2010
How many people on here that lost someone to Covid… were they put on a ventilator?
