GX Season 4 really is a fantastic finale, it does such a wonderful covering the primary cast that defined this series in the set-up for their future in a respectful way. Syrus Vs Makoto Inotsume is one of my favourite duels in the series and some of the plays by Jaden in this series are crazy. Yes GX Manga I love you too.
GX Season 4 did more character development for the non-Judai characters than the other aeasons combine
Most of those characters were still there just so Judai can save them. It was too Judai-centered. Many characters were done dirty, not just Kaiser. Season 4 was very very bad overall..
@ 15:23 I love how Kaiba is the very last person to disappear, proving just how big his ego is XD I always loved that small little Easter Egg. Glad someone else noticed it!! ^-^
I've always liked to think during that time, somewhere in a distant bunker Kaiba is taking down Trueman one duel after another while protecting Mokuba
Last to disappear? I remember watching it that the name was never shown disappearing at all and it cut to another scene. To me this implied that his ego was too big to be taken down by the so called occult shadows.
@@stonecianomars5838 If you see before Jaden fights Darkness he is surveiling Domino City on cameras & confirms everyone disappeared besides him.
For plot reasons, tho obviously we know the yugioh cast would never go down like that.
i love how gx s1 and gx s4 are 2 completely different shows!!! Jaden is the best protag and even as an angel and a demon living inside him man.
At 15:19, a bunch of these names are actually characters from the original Yugioh manga, who either had supporting roles, like Tomoya and Miho, or were the antagonists for that chapter, such as Ushio or Kouji
The reason kaiba’s name didn’t disappear is because the people who disappeared either lost to truman or didn’t have a deck to defend themselves. Kaiba being the last one left means he either defeated truman in a duel or truman never went after him
It was very forced, they didn't know what to do with the characters who are stronger or about as strong as Judai. Yugi and Kaiser weren't even shown for example (they made sure that Kaiser can't even duel tho). It was too Judai-centered as always, he had to be the one to save everyone again..
Yeah it stated that Seto Kaiba and Yugi Muto were the only Duelist bedside Jaden Yuki not to be defeated which you would think that was the perfect time to have them show up to defeat Darkness or at least create a open for Jaden Yuki that would've made sense
@treymykel I don't remember them mentioning Yugi. But in any case, S4 was very bad overall. Most of Yugioh series are like this, but Gx had such a big problem of being too protagonist-focused. Through seasons some characters were always done dirty so that Judai can shine. Also, in reality Judai would have lost much more Duels if it wasn't for the plot, especially in S3. My biggest criticism for gx tho is nerfing, disrespecting and completely ruining Kaiser in the S3, all for the sake of plot, I won't even mention what they did in S4 with him. Again, it is all so that Judai can shine and be the hero.
@@rokocvjetanovic wah wah. You realize Judai being the 'supreme king' in the same sense of Atem being the Pharaoh is the reason he's one of the last to go? Boohoo for you not realizing how protag focused all the series really are not just GX. Doesn't matter if other characters in the other series duel if they're always worfed for the protag to win. At least GX lampshades it

I'm so glad that Asuka/Alexis finally realized that her and Judai/Jaden will never be together romantically in this season because Asula/Alexis really needed to move on from her romantic feelings for Judai/Jaden and find someone else to love romantically.
One of the animes i could recommend in terms of card games is Cardfight Vanguard. Though its just as massive as Yugioh, though

i still think jaiden lost the final duels because it just completes jaidens ark and brings him back to who is was at the start but a better duelist.
Why don't they just now dub the season
The content was too dark for 4kids and they wanted to get 5ds out ASAP, so they just skipped the dubbing of the season. At this point it’s been too long for a dub to be relevant
Four kids also went out of business
They kind of tried to get ownership of chaotic from the original creators, and failed, among other things
They ain't around anymore,lol
The reason it wasn't dubbed originally was because of 4Kids trying to rush out 5D's which also suffered a similar fate of having almost an entire third of it's season cut. One thing to note is that Season 4 of GX was featured in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3 but unfortunately this awesome also suffered a mixed fate in that while it does have an English version released for the UK it was never released in the US. The reason for that is because of the Konami Vs Upper Deck Suit which at the time Konami had primarily focused in the US.

@@NonStopKnocksbro, a s4 dub of GX would go ham today, same with s5 of 5ds. Hell look at DSOD. It came at a time where people didnt really care for Yugioh and help respark it to Main Stream

Tbh, they could have done the dub, left it for a few years so everyone who grew up with GX will be older, THEN release it. Story still had a dub, an ending.

Season 4 of GX was very cool. I really wished this season got dubbed in the U.S.
Why? They would have censored it. And we don’t want that. Remember, Yugioh is mainly for a teen demographic in Japan. As are all Shonen manga and anime.

By far the worst, I mean, other characters were always done dirty (especially those stronger than Judai), so that Judai can shine, but S4 was too much. Many characters were done dirty, not just Kaiser. It was too Judai-centered, the plot was also pretty forced.

But it NEVER got a English dub for ALL 28 season 4 episodes by the time IT could 5D's already started to air its run In Japan which is why season 4 of 5D's never got a dub but 5D's still CUT out like 30 to 35 episodes from ITS English version.

i wish the dub version was finished.
It was too Judai-centered, many good side characters were ruined and wasted so that Judai can shine, not just Kaiser. This is normal in Yugioh animes, but in GX it was too much. Kaiser for example was ruined the most, in S3 he was nerfed and disrespected at the end so that Yubel can survive and fight Judai, and then in S4 he was completely ruined and abondoned. Most of Ygo rivals are done dirty by the end tho..

Season 3 is the peak of Yugioh GX
A lot of wasted of time chapters are in Season 4 and very little happens and worst is all Jaden solo. the final Duel with Yugi is great and same with Crowler's duel but the rest is just meh
Wasted characters yet again oh Asuka/Alexis' treatment of Jaden being well depressed was so insufferable to watch.
I did not care for Chazz or Syrius either.
oh And Jesse is back, the biggest mary sue in all Yugioh.
The worst Aspect of GX is that undoes Kaiser/ Zane dead and in poor taste. Is just awful and very short season.
The real ending is Jaden never returning to duel academy after fusing with Yubel
Oh And Yubel is just there and no one bites and eyes about it
Fujiwara was poorly executed, Darkness was so lame compared to Yubel and we got nothing about the Light of Destruction that is still out there
Yeah this season was terrible
It's not that it's terribile, it's just that each season of GX became more edgy and darker then the previous. Not only that, due to some internal issue, the season had half the lenght of the previous
This season could've done so much better if it didn't get cut in half; my guess is that if it wasn't rushed. We'd have seen Jaden taken some sort of Pro Journey & eventually get strong enough to play vs Atem one more time. Then finally reclaim victory.
I'm saying this under the assumption that he lost vs Atem. Cause his words were: I'll get stronger & then face you again next time (or something close)
