I want to read the 5ds manga but i was told was boring

Last time I checked, most of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga’s besides the original, come after the anime, so it’s really the manga is different from the original.

I did like the manga but the anime still tops it. I liked that manga Yusei had more expressions, not that I dislike his stoic self in the anime. I would call him a Gary Stu, kinda want to but YGO MCs gotta stay winning I guess. Now Jack, he was an arrogant rival but colder, ruthless, unlike both of his anime counterparts (5Ds and ARCV anime). He didn’t reminisce about his old days, he didn’t care about anyone but himself. He just wanted win. I think the only one he showed any bit of respect was Kiryu (Kalin) around the end. Crow is Crow. The twins, I like how Rua (Leo) and Ruka (Luna) are capable pair duelists and have some wins under their belt. Now Aki, I like how she and Sherry have a past together whereas in the anime, they made it seem like those 2 would be rivals when they first met. Nope, just Aki saves Sherry in the final arc of the anime. Speaking of saving, manga Aki become a “damsel in distress” around the end of the manga, while in the anime, she needed saving. Oh yeah, Aki had 2 rivals in the manga, I believe the other was named Ran. What annoyed me during the WRPG arc is that everyone was sorry while a majority of the wins is thanks to Yusei…. He would always come out unscathed especially when up against the Norse Gods and Meklord Emperors while Jack and Crow, suffered a ton, getting sent to the ER. And Aki, oh my days, why were those 3 so weak!? 😭 They’re capable duelists!! Maybe I do want to call him a Gary Stu this time. We want to see the support/side characters win as well.

Initially crow was supposed to be the last dark singer but because blackwing archetype became so popular in the TCG that is why they made Crow a support character

I wise Konami should have add Sect and Ran kobayakawa appearance in Yugioh 5ds Anime. Sect could have join yusei as Rival, Friend and brother figure. Ran kobayakawa would have become Akiza izinski Stronger Rival in Duel Academy that can give Akiza a real tough challenge. Ran kobayakawa would have Battlewasp deck and go toe to toe with Akiza plant deck. And push Akiza to her limits forward and improvement of her skill.

here the biggest difference between the anime of 5d and the manga of 5d and that is the manga is terrible and it just shouldn't of been made

Look, I understand why the anime studio made those changes. You have to remember that this was "technically" a kid show. I don't think kids would love the "Oh, I captured kids and made them my guinea pigs for the shits and giggles" angle.

the fact i’m halfway through the season 2 video & they’re covering EPISODE FKN 80 makes me really glad i chose to watch this instead of the series itself. after spending 3 months going from Season 1 Episode 1 of One Piece all the way to catching up to the weekly releases right when the subbed Gear 5 episode dropped, i do not have the patience to watch any shows with this little plot development per episode ever again

i’m so glad i chose to watch this instead of starting the actual series. bc i’m only 75% through the season 1 video & we’re already at episode 42. absolutely no way in hell am i watching 50 episode seasons at my old age (30). lmfao it’s a miracle i was able to watch all of the episodes from the original series as a kid

This season seriously made me hate Chancellor Sheppard. He invited Viper to the island, made him force the students into dangerous duels (completely brushing off Crowler and Bonaparte's concerns... them having more sense than Sheppard here REALLY tells you a lot about both parties), then left the Academy out of nowhere once things got too out of hand. Sure, he helped with finding the Rainbow Dragon tablet, but that won't erase any of the trauma he put the entire Academy through, all to help "the chosen one" mature. (And I'm not bashing Jaden when I say that, he's my favorite YGO protagonist, I'm just addressing Sheppard's tunnel vision towards Jaden specifically, and how he prioritized his growth over the others' well-being to reckless levels in this season).

I really liked Yugioh season 0. Literally my only complaint is it being so short. With the way the show plays out so quickly, it makes it feel like the world isn’t really at stake. There is also a movie that is related to a kid(not Joey) pulling Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Kaiba kidnapping him to claim it, leaving Yugi to save him. I also have some original Bandai cards I use in a deck. It’s a Blue-Eyes engine ftk exodia deck. I mostly play with it by myself to pass the time, like a game of solitaire. My 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons and 5 pieces of Exodia are all the bandai cards.
