- Driving a McLaren MP4/4 '88 at Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Custom race. Starting from p20.
Recording was done directly on PlayStation 5.
Racing wheel: Thrustmaster T300 RS.
Pedals: Thrustmaster T3PM

People talking about the one handing driving: it's exactly how was (especially Senna). The gear was manual and he often was used to rest the hand on the gear instead of turn the hand on the wheel anytime. It's a DELICIOUS sign of realism.
In 88 all the grid had manual boxes, not just his..
Not even close, in a straight line it could be, but in this long and winding road... I don't think so.
There were moments in which they had one hand on the wheel like straight lines, turn exits or reasonably light bends, but basically never while approaching a turn and during steering.

Monaco is very twisty and requires a lot of gear changes, yet he kept two hands on the steering wheel at almost each turn.
They did not even have power steering at the time, I can only imagine how much force would have required to take all the turns of a GP with one hand.
No way Anyone, even Senna.would steer in every corner with one hand whilst the car is oversteering

Hi! It's a against the AI. It's custom race so you won't find it among the preset races. AI was on the highest setting btw.
@@MightyMikeVR Can you race the MP4/4 against road cars? I'm on buying this game but I just remember that gt Sport was more restrictive on the categories...

I actually don't mind the halo. It looks like it's in the way ( ruclips.net/video/NujUNupomxM/видео.html ) but in VR I've honestly never seen it as a problem. It's there, but I don't think about it!
Playing GT7 on PSVR2 is simply way more intense than playing FORZA MOTORSPORT 2023 on Xbox Series X.

Too bad it looks nothing like this in VR. GT7 has excellent game design and needs some PC power love.

ニュルの旧コースってバンピー過ぎてF1じゃ車高を思い切り上げないと走れない、とかで昔ザウバーかどこがのチームがイベントで走らせてましたね。このゲームのニュルはリアル映像より路面が綺麗ですよね。

Graphics seriously downgraded in actual VR experience.
It maybe great gameplay but graphics looked like it came from PS3 2006 game when it comes to actual VR gameplay.

What about the motion sickness as i’m facing a lot ,, how to tackle this???
I also got motion sick then I started to play VR in 2018. But there is hope. Nowadays I compete in Onward and I can fly planes and do loops without any problem!
My advice is that you keep your sessions short (stop before you feel ill) and gradually play longer sessions. And try to play some games there you stand still. like Beat Saber or maybe Vader Immortal (lightsaber dojo mode). You will probably be able to play longer and longer sessions as time goes on. Good luck!
+1 to Mike's advice, go slow and stop whenever you suspect you're going to get Motion Sickness. It goes away with time, but you need to know what games give you more MS than others, start slow and you'll enjoy VR

That's impressive! I'm just below 5:50 with this car on medium tyres and no TC.

Hey @mikevr, are you color grading these before publishing? When I export videos from GT7 VR they seem a bit de-saturated or maybe dark? Curious if I’m missing a simple setting or if I need to import it into a proper video editor first to put the color and highlights back in. Thanks! This video rocks. Just got the PSVR2 and loving GT7
Hi! Sounds like you have tons of fun Infront of you! I know some people upload the replay but I don't. I record my actual race and extract the recording to a USB-drive and shortens an upload the videos from a PC. No post processing is done.
Maybe your videos are being exported in HDR (HGL or 2020). Your editor may have some problem interpreting that (Premiere has, for instance). Try using other editor or converting the video to Rec709 colorspace using the Handbrake software.
Looks amazing. How do you get to race F1 in GT7 and how do you get the McLaren MP4?
Hi! The McLaren MP4/4 '88 can be bought from the legendary car dealership. It's not always available but it pops up now and then.
There is no pre made race in GT7 for F1 cars so you have to do it yourself via the custom race option.
In this specific race I only used 2 cars from garage and duplicate them so got a grid of 20 cars.
For this race ruclips.net/video/5tYaa6dwvnk/видео.html I went all in and bought 9 F1500T-A and together with my 1 MP4/4 I got a total of 10 different "teams" on the grid. It was a bit expensive but worth it 😃

Hi, I haven't done any processing of the video. I guess we have used different weather and/or time of day. Cloudless at lunchtime is usually the least pretty.

I've played it in VR a couple of times on Project CARS 2, Automobilista 2 and GT7 and never noticed any real difference.

Ok! Somehow I have managed to not buy Assetto Corsa during the years, but I have owned Project CARS 2 on PS4, X Box One and PC :-) . I hope Assetto Corsa comes to PSVR2 in some form in the future, would defenivly buy it!

It's far too stable and has a lot of understeer. No way would it behave like this. If you hit kerbs like that it would be in the barrier. Gran Turismo is still no where

One handed in a f1 car 🤔, especially a 80’s turbo era one come on 🙄 they were turbo lag monsters. Nice graphics yeah poor driver realism/mechanics. So annoying
Totally agree with you. I guess it's difficult to animate correctly when using a stick shift. I mean, the game doesn't know then I'm gonna change gear so the game constantly needs to be prepared to animate the gear movement and the easiest way to do that is to keep the hand at the shifter.
If the in-game driver is Japanese, anything is possible 😁

Like GT1-GT2-GT3-GT4-GT5 and GT6, start last (ALWAYS) go fast to catch up the 1st guy.
This is a custom race so I could have chosen a different start position if i wanted 😊
You know how polyphony could fix that? Optional qualifying rounds. Then its on you, if you want to start at the back, skip qualifying. Simple and i guess it should be fairly easy (for them) to implement with an update or something.

@@kent570253 Or like GT1, GT3 and GT4. I don't know why Polyphony decided to ditch qualifying from GT5 onwards. We might get it back one day, when the new Sophy AI puts up more of a fight than the standard AI in GT7, so that qualifying makes more sense.
