I‘d think the lacking analog inputs are some issue on the emulation. The first Gran Turismo was one of the first games to support the original Dual Shock. The very original PS1 controller didn’t have the analogue sticks. Then came a Dual Analogue Pad, which added a little button to turn analogue on and off as some games were disturbed by the analogue stuff (iirc). Recent controllers obviously don’t have that switch and potentially need some fiddling in the emulator.

I would LOVE for PD to release a full version of the original Gran Turismo for the PS5. Don't change a single thing, except for the graphics updated to PS5 standards.

Silverstone on GT6 was not the old version like you said.

Did u say u was using the joypad on the ps3 versions? My mate has a ps3 and a wheel with force feedback which gave me a bit of a workout when i played gran turismo!😂
I still use the D pad on GT7 😂 brings back memories, was blew away at the time with the graphics at Special stage route 5

Gran Turismo 3 - Special Stage Route 5 Wet was one of my favourites in the Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca '00, unfortunately due to the graphic limitations I think it was only a 4 car race. Would love to see this back in GT7.

Such a shame we don't get the fiction tracks back --- Tokyo, New York and Seatle were amazing tracks... the new highway1/Eiger are so narrow and unsatisfying to drive. The older tracks felt like proper driving tracks
PD should be hopefully eventually adding old content back in! Thats my hope and wish anyway.... ive got so many ideas for PD if for example they do an old theme, they could model classic tracks as well as cars as well as the racing suits and goggles....
the Seattle track i want back because i used to reenact Steve Mcqueen when that Ford advert with the Ford Cougar used Steve McQueens likeness to do the advert! Or failing the Seattle track... I do think PD are working on old tracks.... I know the stadium and alot of the layout of the Seattle track would have to be changed as that was discussed in GTPlanet forums yrs ago
plenty of the old tracks i want back, plenty of the old cars and old concept cars i want back too.... but would PD go and scan the Tank car for example, actually i think they would if theyve bothered to model the moon and the moon buggy as well as ambulances and nazi trucks LOL

Gt4, my all time favourite version. I recently bought a PS2 (sold my original long ago) to play gt4 and other classics. Would love to see Tokyo r246 on gt7. The Vauxhall you passed at Seattle was a Calibra, not a Cavalier btw. 🙂
I think the red car was the Gillet Vertigo race car? Also in GT one, you were using the Corvette Grand Sport, which was a nightmare to handle. There's a license test on GT2 with it at Seattle and it took me ages to pass it back in the day 😅

oh yea. good one. i was watching it closely while gettin excited to see the first GranTourismo at the end... oh yeah, that was it! especially this track u chose, perfect :) And to answer your question, no our thumbs wasnt "finessed". Think back... and be honest... we just grinded the wall if necessary xD
8:00 = Opel Calibra DTM race car, This car needs to return. In fact bring in some Mercedes A class DTM cars to join the Alfa 155.
Yeah the old Grand Valley is way better than the updated version, in general there's quite a few tracks/layouts I miss and they ruined the end of trial mountain. I think Gran Turismo 3 is still my favourite entry overall
One of my favourite tracks was Autumn Ring on GT Concept. But the game that gives me the most nostalgia is GT3, partly because of the epic soundtrack.
Reminds me my hands were too small to hold the controller, but yeah, not judging you Rory, I can't race on controller anymore either, it feels weird. I wish I could though because sometimes I'm just too lazy. Nostalgy hurts.

I went back and played gt5 not long ago and that game is infinitely more fun that gt7 with zero online. GT7 has so much potential and its just a skeleton 😭
