- In this video, we'll share our top tips and tricks for achieving a realistic perspective in GT7 on PSVR2. From camera settings to driving techniques, we'll cover everything you need to know to enhance your immersion and take your racing skills to the next level. Get ready to experience GT7 like never before.
It's a good old school, simple method that gets forgotten, of course one of the other tests you can do if you have a same size steering wheel, just move your head towards the top of your real life wheel and the virtual one and both should contact at about the same time. Good video well tested out.
Just spent a shit ton on this and loving it definitely the future
To keep your position in a specific car, first go to the showroom vr and set it there. Then it’s ok for all the races in this car.
Thats interesting. I'll check it out.
I ll try very interesting if it works
Yo if this works you are the goat. That's the first thing I'm trying out when I get off my shift tonight
Yes I did same
@@degeautd40that's for one car or all?
I just lean forward a bit before the race starts and it puts me in the perfect position. You can also seat lower or higher when resetting to get the perfect height. Play around with different seating positions
Yes! I’ve noticed this too. I have to pause and lean forward a couple inches and look down. Reset then lean back. They need to alter this slightly or perhaps ask for peoples height before hand. The default setup feels like the steering wheel is pressed against stomach.
Great pointers! Another tip; to keep your head straight before the game centres you, close your eyes and feel what your body thinks is looking straight ahead.
Sometimes having visuals in front of you confuses your orientation so letting your body realign with no vision is more accurate.
That's also a good tip.
I just crane my neck forward, looking straight ahead and hold the position until the VR kicks in when a race starts. Definitely needs a patch!
Yeah I do that. Some of the cars, the wheel is very close. So I just move my neck forward. Done.
Great stuff mate, looking forward to trying this tonight. Knew about the reset, just didn't think to try it in the car!
Thanks. Hopefully it works for you. I can't guarantee it will work for everyone's set up, but if it helps you find your own way of fixing it then that's good enough for me.
Great tip, thanks, subscribed!
Thanks for the sub! Much appreciated
it should remember position per car like in 2d mode each car you can setup in menu and stays that way.
That would be the best short term fix. Even if we had to set it up on the first play per session I would be ok with that.
Hopefully polyphony realizes we need a reset vr center option like every pc racer has. Makes doing this ridiculously easy.
Thanks for this, I love GT in VR mode it's such a great experience so nice one for the tips 👍
I've been making videos and racing In vr gt7 since it got support. I just did your trick and you need a pat on the back , it's so much better with the head on the shoulders 😂 I've subscribed to your channel 👍
Cheers. I don't post or upload enough however thanks for the sub 😊
I had your extreme view happen to me in a race, went to the pits and ended up in that view, looking to the left. It felt really strange right away, but I didn't know how to fix it so raced the rest of the race looking to the left.
I only realised what had happened after I took the headset off once I finished the race.
Great video why don’t Sony tell you these things?!!! At least there are folks like you about matey
That's a cool trick. Haven't thought about that before.
Thanks. Appreciate the comment.
I think a lot of people aren't realizing how this works. in iRacing, ill sit there for 10 seconds resetting until things feel good. Just comes with using VR.
Appreciate the tips
Happy to help!
Cool tip 😎
Glad you liked it
super-useful tips, well explained and to the point!
At 6'1, every lobby I join, everytime I come on the track, I come out the pits, immediately brake, downshift, pull over, and set the seating position of such irl. Helps me push tf outta these cars.
Exactly. The correct position will help you feel more comfortable in the car and able to push harder
We definitely need a default option in the menu for setting the right position in every car.
Thank you for the pointers and hopefully it will get fixed with a update.
How do the steering wheel logos look for everyone? I can definitely see mine ok but it has a little blur, the speedometer is wayyy clearer. It’s better and worse with some cars
Get prescription lenses , I had same issue and it totally got rid of all blur on every game
Watching this video gives me more motion sickness than using the actual VR
Bro I thought I was going to have a goddamn seizure
Seriously! Love the content, but the constant ASMR swallows and lip smacking beg for better mic control and maybe a bit more tuning of your compression.
Set the floor height higher in the ps5 vr settings. It solved it for me in my cockpit
Raising the height of a car just to position yourself is madness not good advice
Just got GT7 and yeah this is a weird issue but this is the solution. Even so it’s funny how skinny the little man is in the car. He skipped leg day his whole life haha
I think the issue has gotten better since the headset had an update a few months ago. I don't feel I need to make so many adjustments.
Probably because the driver sat on his ass all day lol.
I’ve noticed I’m too close too.
Figured it was me doing something wrong?
Hopefully it can help you find the sweet spot for your set up.
Hello,
When I keep Option button pressed when looking my feet, the game reset the VR view with the windshield in front of me, so, when I look in front of me IRL, I see the roof of the car in my VR headset... I've the same problem when I turn my head (free practice) when the game lauches a race (at the end of the free practice timer)... Any solution to lock the alignment of the position ?
Yo , you got prescription lenses and globular cluster ?? Is a game changer
Hello bro! I got the PSVR2 and I use glasses. This Doesn't affect my VR experience. I bought a protective film, similar to that of a cell phone, to protect the lens of the VR.
@@gabrieldiniz4174 yo bro , yeah I opted for lenses as glasses leave a gap where light can bleed through
@@Atum1csame here, for same reasons
Also, I scratched the headset lenses with my glasses, which Sony repaired under warranty
@@supercededman nice bro , yeah everything was blurry for me and I didn’t know why , so I got scription glasses and decided I really need psvr2 ones and the difference is just crazy
@@Atum1cyeah, the difference between glasses and having properly prescribed lens inserts is just whoa!
all it would need is for GT to provide with offset values to be applied to the head position in VR - which is what you are kinda forcing the game to do
Can I ask you, are you able to delete the HUD infront of you with speed etc in VR?
Yes. If you go to the video settings you can fully remove the HUD.
@@GvonGaming Thanks. Will check
I can find the sweet spot . Other cars are so blurry u can’t play for too long, very frustrating because I bought this just for Gt7
Prescription lenses and globular cluster will fix this completely
Hunching down in the chair hitting reset puts me just right in Star Wars Squadrons in PSVR. However, PSVR2 is inside out tracking so why is this still an issue?
Because this is just a default position
I dont know why it doesn't have seat/camera position options. Its really annoying that it defaults to so close up, and it so easily fixed.
Also the character model looks like its a child, it feels very strange. maybe they should have options to make the character model seem like an adult. The same thing happens on Elite Dangerous on VR, the character model is tiny.
Saturation and contrast, that was the first thing I changed with my VR. Gt7 was just too saturated in my opinion and now it’s more realistic
What numbers did you use?
Just do the opposite of what u want and reset, get closer u lean back , u want higher u slouch down little and reset
Nice
Thanks for the comment. Hopefully it helps.
How did you get this video in HDR?
I just activated the PS5 recording software and captured the footage and audio. Because the console captures the feed to the TV or in this case the PSVR2 it just records what it outputs. As the headset is HDR and so is GT7, it recorded in the footage in HDR 😊
@@GvonGaming fantastic.
Reset? What reset? I have to enter the showroom, look streight, and then exit. How do I reset?
Hold the options button for about a second and the in-game camera will reset 😊
@@GvonGaming T.y. I just got my VR2 yesterday, and what others call sharp, I call blurry. The only blur others talk about, is blur. The blur I talk about, is low res. The perception sees dots everywhere, obscuring the sharp image. Any way around this? Not that it matters anyway, considering I did only showroom, and after time I got nausia. Later driving 3 laps on the Red Bull-ring, I got nausia after under half a lap, and as I am typing this, I sense my perception is still distorted when the depth of field in my visual senses is focusing on something in front of me, and I get a sense of nausia, but it might be only due to having been whatching VR-content in GT7 here on YT. I.r.l., I get carsick if I don't look outside while the car is moving. It's been this way all my nolife and I completely forgot about it before I bought my VR2. If I can get rid of the sickness, it does not matter if I can't get rid of the low res. Are the visual senses of others so bad they can't see the dots, or are others having zero sense of quality and happy with so little?
@@klauslehrmann3906 There some "10 tips and tricks you need to know" type vids, they will detail turning on Enhanced tracking, and 120 hz mode and making sure the lenses are spaced properly. may help.
@@LoveProWrestling There? Where?
@klauslehrmann3906 did u fix ur vr2 gt7 experience? I am looking to buy both ps5 with vr2 but worry the exact issue u are talking about.
Nice. Keep it up 😊
Thanks 😊
I can do that while racing if you know what your doing it's just a 1 button press like vr 1 was
Congratulations on your channel. Im totally subbed, and would love to see the progress. Only one suggestion when i was doing research on podcast, and youtube video tips. Is "people will watch a bad resolution video with good sound, but they will moat likely not watch a good resolution video with bad sound. " top tip mate... get a mic. I can tell youre recording thru vr2 headset, but turn your mic volume down jist a wii bit. Im here to follow to 1000000
Thanks for the sub. I do have one of those snowball mics that definitely sound better than the VR. I'll try using it if I make any more videos.
They should just allow you to enter your height.
You do enter your height when you first set up the headset.
That would be a good way to potentially fix the issue, especially if we could also make fine adjustments.
Seems too many people have setting issues it's not hard it's called set what you feel comfortable at before you race if it goes daft it's becouse your being to rough it's a driving simulator not wreck fest crap advice
This is a deal breaker for me because I'm very picky about the seat position , i like to sit low like in the real race car , not on top of the roof like thos esports kids
I've only played for a short time, but for me it seems like the default is low on the seat, so I don't think you'll have an issue
@@CerealkillertheGamecat yeah if they go any lower you can't even see the road.
The default is low. My set up and height means I need that little boost to make sure it feels good for me.
@Gvon's Gaming Channel most people says the wheel feels to big and close to the eyes , I don't understand why polyphony doesn't put a view settings /seat position in the game, how hard can be ??
@@bratosin1 You would think that's what they'd have done lol. The first thing I did with the game was look at the options for the fov changes. Then I decided to try the trick on the video.
STILL no patch to fix this issue... cmon SONY get your finger out..!!
Set it in the showroom and it saves your position...
@@MasDouc Nice ill try this tyvm ;)
@@MasDoucGod-level tip, bro 😊
Patches will fix it. Patience
Its only going to act like that if your jumping around like a mad man😂
Tell us your new to VR without telling us. Lol😂
About to be me. Hahaha
I’m 50 years old and uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh………..YEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
It's not that bad your milking the video was doing that shit with GT sport on PS4 it really is not hard
Great video bud. next time please, for the love of God don't look around so much. If you must, please do it a little slower. at one point I thought you were a bobblehead
The internet is will literally criticize a guy for having a human neck rather than some sort of organic tripod appendage.
The camera is tied to his head man what do you expect
He’s looking around to make sure if it’s aligned. Chill lol
PSVR owners have known this for the past 5 years 🙄🙄🙄
Damn, that's not a good sign of it ever being fixed
Thanks for the comments. Hopefully it helps the new users that have GT7 and are trying VR for the first time.
And stayed completely silent about it? Thanks.....
7 minutes of shaking video. Nice shit
Back off the mic
