Agreed! You can't tell me the D web foot logo merch sold as well (which I avoid). If they can brink back the OG logo on the orange alternate (just bought one for my little one and it's pretty sweet), they can do the same for their home/away while keeping their current colors (which I'd buy in a heartbeat). Also, please bring back Kariya/Selanne jerseys with the OG logo so we don't have to pay ridiculous amounts for old and faded second hand fleabay collectibles.
Both expansion teams from 1993, the Ducks and the Panthers, now have a Stanley Cup on their resume. Anaheim in 2007 and Miami, Florida with theirs this year in 2024!
Probably the greatest era in Anaheim sports history even though the 2nd half of the Eisner era was bad the Sports teams benefit a tremendously, especially the Angels 2002, the entire city of Anaheim and all of Orange County just felt very united very different vibe. Very awesome time to be an Angel swear
I have an old school Mighty ducks sweat shirt that my grandpa gave my Dad who would later give to me. While I am a massive Predators fan I have a soft spot for that sweat shirt. After all it's old school and has been passed down. In an odd way it's almost like an heirloom.
It's sad the team won the cup AFTER Disney sold the Ducks. Imagine the Stanley Cup Parade down Mainstreet in Disneyland with Mickey Mouse lifting the cup outside Cinderella's castle....what never was........
I liked the original design of the logo much more. I always wondered why it was changed, now I know. I also didn't realize that it took longer than I thought for the Ducks to win their first (and so far only) Stanley Cup, but I've always found it funny that the Ducks beat the L.A. Kings, who had been in Southern California since the 80s and even had the great Wayne Gretzky for a time, yet it was the Ducks who first brought the Stanley Cup home to Southern California. (But, of course, the Kings have since accomplished the feat more than once.) Thanks for the informative video. Now I'm going to watch the video about the Angels, which I was looking for initially, but when I saw the Angels' video was a "part II" I had to check out part 1 first.
As a person who never watched Hockey and lived in Europe, but remember the mighty ducks 2 movie from my infancy, I loved the original logo, and even now I buy shirts with that logo. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. I don't like the change they made :(
Their next jersey change should definitely revert back to their roots. That white duck mask jersey is iconic as hell.
100% Agree with this take.
Absolutely! It already looks amazing on the 3rd Orange jerseys the Ducks wear!

@@davetechme I agree , I will buy ducks merchandise with the original logo.
As a life long Canucks fan I totally agree. The purple duck jerseys are one of the best to ever exist!
I’m a Florida Panthers fan. But the history of the Ducks is awesome I’d like to visit Anaheim one day.

Greatly done video, props to you man.
Thank you!
what happened to the 2003 season? where they lost in the Cup Finals? "off the floor and on the board?"

Mighty ducks forever
Actually the highest expansion fee for an NHL team now belongs to the Seattle Kraken who payed a $650 million expansion fee.
I'm finnish and Teemu clearly says vittu at 8:48 it's equivalent for the f word :)
if they bring their logo back i will be a ducks fan once again...
2005 worse rebranding ever!!! Disney Mighty Ducks was The Best!!! But now it's sucks....!!!
I’m 39 and still call them Mighty Ducks they’ll be that to my end. I only wear retro gear too.
thanks for this, really interesting!
2:23 Disneyland was too afraid of the 1992 LA Rodney king & Latasha Harlins Riots
Awesome video! 🤙
disney needs another team in the nhl , if they cant get ducks back
I think we already have enough teams in California.
@@M_11_m41n it does not have to be in CA ..
LOL what franchise? Snow dogs? Wall-e? Ice princess?! Nah, a goofy movie 🎬
@@funeralbell857 ha if Disney had a team in Alaska, i would def be down to rock a Alaska Snow dogz jersey lol
@@tolerants23 Anchorage ice dogs would be awesome haha
Old school ducks was top tie
Please make some new vids!
I miss The Pond name. I hate the Honda center name.
Why not mention they won the Stanley cup
It was more based on the time period that Disney owned the team. The Stanley Cup win came a couple seasons later.
How Far Is Anaheim From L.A. Again?
30 miles or so
30 miles Southeast of downtown LA
